You won't find any veneer here this beauty is solid wood. A quality made piece well constructed to serve the maker for many years with three brass hinges to hold the lid. This box has all the pluses, check out the stunning heavy brass trims that decorate every edge for strength and beauty. This chest is about as original as you will ever find complete with drawer, trays that lift out for your drill bits and other small hand tools and room for the hand saw inside the lid. The hefty solid brass handles are built into the chest to lay flush until you pull them out to lift the chest. Both locks are present we do not have any keys. Lid closes great, inner trays move forward and back to select your tools, they are removable. Some tiny dots of paint are present on the drawer and on the lid but a fine piece of steel wool and wax would probably remove these nicely. Up for auction is this neat 19 th Century cabinet card photo of a member of the Masonic Knights Templar in full uniform and regalia. The photograph was taken at the studio of W. G. Macomber in Augusta Michigan. Although the Knight in the photo is unidentified. Since Augusta is a suburb of Battle Creek, more than likely the Knight in the photo would have been a member of the Battle Creek Commandery No. 33. The photographer W. G. Macomber(William Glenn Macomber) was only in business from 1892 to 1895, so the photograph is from that time. As you can see from the scans this member of the Knights Templar is wearing a ceremonial sword. And is holding his Chapeaux hat. He is also wearing a black and white ceremonial sash with a nine pointed star with Red Cross in the center of it partially obscured by his left arm. Bowes Tire Repair Cabinet: This cabinet is by no means in mint condition as you can tell by the pictures but is better than most that I have seen of this age. The age is approximately in the 1950’s and was actively used in my father’s filling station. Included with the cabinet are a few boxes of odds and ends patches that were in the cabinet. The cabinet is approx. 18 ½ inches tall by 10” deep at the widest part at the bottom andabout 7 ½” deep at the top and about 15” wide in the front. Inside it has six cubby holes and two drawers one measuring 6 x 3 ½“ and one 6 x 1-1/2' I tried to clean it up the best I could as it has been sitting in a barn for many years. The center has been adorned with large stylized Nouveau Japanese Lilies in bud and full bloom by a master painter. The piece is artist signed Mussil and is very well rendered. Vintage Wooden Barber / Dentist Cabinet
Nice solid Barbers cabinet. I believe it is made of maple for the outside of the cabinet with plywood shelves and the back is masonite. The cabinet has one drawer. Two doors( one has a glass) and a tip-out bin in the bottom with an opening to put neck wraps or trash in. The bin is metal. The drawer has a solid bottom and the doors have good hinges. There are some scratches on the cabinet. It is 44" tall, 15" wide and 11" deep not including the handles. Please ask any other questions that you may have.

Two doors have a center panel that is antique pressed(I believe walnut) wood with crotched book matched walnut veneer panels above and below. The third door has three panels of crotch book matched walnut veneer panels. The doors are constructed of mahogany(spanish cedar) with walnut trim. The backing is a smooth plywood cabinet grade. These doors are a custom design incorporating salvaged antique materials. Reclaimed and new wood from Whitmer Design Studio. These doors have never been used and are new although they incorporated antiques materials in the design. They have not been finished- except for the antique panel that was kept in its found state. The radio cabinet is in good condition for its age. A previous owner refinished the cabinet and applied what I believe is a Polyurethane finish. Antique Edison Diamond Disc Phonograph in Chippendale Factory Console Cabinet
FOR PARTS OR REPAIR: If you are looking for a good project. Then look no further- this is it! Antique Edison console phonograph in original No. 18 factory cabinet(AKA Chippendale Model) This is the phonograph style I have seen most often in pictures of Thomas Edison when he is listening to a phonograph. This machine will clean up nicely and make a great showpiece in your home. Cabinet has the original finish- inside and out- the internal drawers have been protected for a hundred years- just look how beautiful the finish was back in the day. This is a deep mahogany color- picture of drawers shows true original finish color. Motor turns freely and reproducer plays pretty good. Speed control seems to work. Front grill is there- does have a little bit of the veneer missing. All original tags in place. All-in-all. I believe this machine is pretty ... morecomplete. Victor XIV Phonograph Cabinet Lock and Ecutcheon
For sale is a cabinet lock. Key escutcheon, and mounting hardware for the lock. The parts are in good original conditional. The screw holes on the lock plate are spaced 2 3/4" apart(68 mm) The parts were salvaged from a Victor XIV that had been gutted and converted to a stereo cabinet. Victorian 1875(?) (Marble?) Top Side Cabinet, Bedside Chest Nightstand poor cond
This may be earlier than the Victorian era, I'm just guessing on 1875. The poplar drawers harken back to an 1840-ish desk I sold two weeks ago that had similar dovetailing at the corners as well as a chamfered fit of the drawer bot. I want to say this prob had a marble top originally. I have a piece of marble(in 4th pic) but it needs to be cut to fit and is not part of this auction. The pine board top is not fastened down. The door panels are loose and not fastened down. There is no key to the lock in the RH door. There is no bezel on the keyhole but the lock. Is in place in rear of door. Door hinges are set securely and work smoothly, Doors close as they ought without binding. Drawer works smoothly. All joints/joining of wood appears to be tight(except for the loose front door panels) The nightstand is solid and not wobbly(except. For ... morethe fact that it's missing a rear'foot' see pic) There are no deep scratches or splintering or. Chipped out portions of the wood. If successful bidder would like the marble slab. I can sell for $25.00. I had the marble listed for sale awhile back on its own auction but it didn't sell. It would cost $80.00 to ship to West Coast so prob only practical to buy if planning on picking up nightstand here at 19525. I can deliver nightstand in my station wagon at cost of 89 cents per mile one way(I eat the return mileage) plus tolls. In other words. If you live 100 miles away.
