I have included a lot of pictures because this sample book is in rough condition. It is VERY OLD& it's dirty! I have not attempted to clean it whatsoever. I will leave that up to the buyer. I think that the samples themselves could be cleaned up quite nicely with an upholstery cleaner. The metal binding& the staples that affix the little tags to each sample are rusty. Therefore there are rust marks/stains on the fabric throughout the book. Condition of samples: there are some rough spots, stains, and some of the outer stitching is coming apart on a few. The upper left of the black part that reads"Slumber Chair Cover Samples" is not there. Manufacture date unknown, but I suspect late 1800's to early 1900's based on several similar examples I found on the Internet. Cabinet seems very solid. It is extremely heavy. Drawers and doors all work smoothly. The door on the left has a hairline fracture line(see third picture above) I cannot determine if this was a natural occurance or as a result of some other damage. It does not appear to have been repaired by any method that I can determine. But I am also not an expert in furniture repair. This is a very nice piece. But has some small blemishes. It appears this piece is in original state and shows no signs of refinishing, from my opinion. If you prefer more photos, please feel free to request them. Because of its weight. Very nice old hard rubber Buffet C2 tenor sax mouthpiece. This thing is shiny. Hardly played. Made in the 50's or 60's in France. I really like these pieces. I have 2 of them that play identical. These are Buffets answer to the classic Selmer Soloist. Sound? Wider than a Soloist with more of an ah vowel, more focused than a Link. Got the'toast' sound I like: nice and warm hearty center with a crisp exterior. Articulation and altissimo is quite easy. And I'm not the best altissimo player! Harmonics jump right out. Straight walls on this. Small tip but a nice big warm tone. This piece is a great candidate for that special someone to re-face it to your liking or just play it as is. Vintage 1960s Evette-Schaeffer Alto Saxophone- Malerne Stencil You are bidding on an"Evette-Schaeffer" alto saxophone made in Paris. France. The serial number near the thumbrest is 119xx which dates it to around 1964. It's a"stencil sax" made by Robert Malerne et Cie, as evidenced by the unusually-shaped bell flare, LH pinky table, low C spatula and"tulip" shape on the bell-keys keyguard. This makes it part of the"Buffet family" Buffet was the top instrument for saxophonists during the 1960s-70s. Not surprisingly, this sax is capable of producing the uniquely French, centred, dark, rich tone that so many pros strive for. The sax is in reasonably good condition. Given that it's around 50 years old. Most of the pads are old, but the sax plays from top to bottom as you can see from the demo video.There's ... moresome minor plating wear on the nickel key-touches. Similarly, there's some lacquer wear and a few small dents, the largest of which is on the side of the bell and has been indicated in one of the photos by the tip of a red pen. These clarinets are in excellent condition. Only 2 years old. Very clean. No cracks! Beautiful sound and scale. Nickel plated keys. Some keys are starting to wear off in the B flat clarinet. I will start by saying this is sold as-is for parts with no returns.Up for grabs is a vintage looking(may or may not be) Clarinet.The horn says Evette Buffet Crampon and another piece says Bundy and another 153556 Germany.So I would safely say this a mix of different parts.If not any information is appreciated.The metal pieces are oxidized and not sure but may or may not clean up.Pieces look like they have normal wear.The sleeve over the mouthpiece has the metal band to tighten it on but one screw head is broke off.Has a small plastic case that is empty not sure what it was from.The inside of case is stained/dirty and the outside is stained and has a chipped off piece on both sides of latch.This was not the case it has been stored in.I picked it up and put it in this case to protect as it was wrapped in bubble wrap previously.Will be insured ... morewith delivery confirmation.Email any questions sold as-is for parts with no returns

German-made Buffet Crampon Evette Wooden Clarinet
This is a Buffet Crampon German-Made Evette Bb Clarinet. It is made entirely of wood. With silver keys and accents. The Serial number on the clarinet is 146316, which means it was manufactured by Schreiber in Germany in 1974. When I purchased the clarinet the music store owner replaced the original mouthpiece, which was in poor condition, with a buffet crampon France-made mouthpiece, which fits perfectly and works wonderfully. There is a pad on the mouthpiece to soften the force on the teeth and jaw, which can be removed if desired. I will send it with the cork grease(the thing that looks like chapstick) 2 reeds(which are thicker- at a more moderate skill level) and the cleaning cloth, which is attached by string to a silver weight to allow it to be pulled through the windpipe of the various pieces. This cloth is a little dirty, but can be ... morewashed. It comes in a velvet-padded hard plastic(very sturdy) carrying case, which has some skid-like marks on it from carrying it back and forth from home to school. This clarinet would make a great gift for students who would like to go from renting to buying or from a plastic clarinet to a better quality wooden clarinet. It did me well from 8th grade to my senior year. After my graduation I haven't touched it and think it's a shame for it to be sitting in my closet, so neglected. This auction is for a pair of Buffet R13 Clarinets. One in A the second in Bb, both were manufactured during 1961. Along with these comes an additional tuning barrel, a Vandoren B45 mouthpiece ligature and cap, and three instrument cases, and a new Buffet swab. This pair of clarinets were used by a retired professional symphony clarinetist. Teacher and author. This is the ideal set, reasonably priced, for the aspiring clarinetist to acquire. With this set, no immediate out of pocket expenses are necessary, and it is a set a person can grow into, and which will provide years of superb performance. These clarinets belonged to my father who had a professional career. He was a student of Rosario Mazzeo at the New England Conservatory in the 1950's. These were not his first clarinets. But what he used up to his retirement from playing and teaching. I think the Buffet(set. 167308) was from around the late 70's and the Selmer(set. P7835 is from the 50's) I had them looked at and played by a current working professional player and college teacher. The selling price was suggested by him. The markings I see are Evette Buffet Crampton, West Germany, serial number 208208. It's in good shape to the eye. No dings or chips, no evidence of any old repairs. Very light scratches. The cork and pads look older, but still in decent shape. The cork is missing on the mouth piece. The case is older, rusty, torn and very dirty. No key for the case.

This B10 is a spectacular example of Buffet's German-made student clarinet. By looking at it you can tell that it has been well taken care of- most people will assume that it's brand new! The key plating is excellent and the corks. Pads and springs are in top condition. The body of the clarinet has miniscule scratches from normal use and no cracks. Even the Buffet logos are sharp and clear. This B10 was just serviced: taken apart and cleaned, lubricated and the keys aligned when it was re-assembled. I've found that often it's the small adjustments that make a big difference in how enjoyable an instrument is to play. This one is completely ready for band practice!
