The buffet is made of solid wood, and has a gorgeous, burled veneer finish. The buffet is in great condition, particularly for an antique, but it does have a few issues. There is one place at a corner of the large center drawer where there is a chunk missing. This chunk can be seen in the photos. It is still with the buffet and will just need to be repaired. There are also a few areas where there is some veneer loss. The bottom corner on the front bottom is beginning to separate and will also need some light repair. These can also be seen in the photos.

This particular piece has a breakfront where the marble steps out in the middle, carved pillars coming down through the center door, outside doors and right across the top is all burl walnut with dainty inlaid trim. The two doors open on the base to expose a shelf interior. The center is the mirror panel with the pillars and is not a door. You have a double door front and a center with carved pillars. The looking glass is scratched and worn, which adds charm and character. The inlaid appears to be in nice shape.

Serial numbers 579331. Clarinet is very very lightly used and the Tosca speaks for itself. Clarinet is Greenline. And wood is excellent with no cracks. Silver plating is excellent with no degradation whatsoever. Clarinet looks better than the pics. Silver shines like new throughout. And I cannot even see a scratch on the body. All mechanics are in tip top condition. Tenons are tight. Corking is pristine throughout, pads are excellent throughout, and the clarinet plays perfectly as advertised. There are 2 barrels. One 66mm and the other 65mm. The 66mm barrel has the Tosca marking, and the 65mm barrel has an R13 marking. Neither barrel has the greenline dot, although the rest of the pieces do have that dot. I am a retired Instrument repairman. Who was also a Clarinet Performance Major in college and professional musician, and this is my personal main instrument. I am no longer able to play and have decided it to nice of an instrument to have it sit around when someone else could have as much joy from it as I have. German-Silver Keys This instrument has been tweaked and adjusted by me over the years to include many improvements. Some of which I can remember are: Discriminating tone-hole undercutting to improve scale intonation. Cork pads in every place that technically made improvements. The cork pad are Extremely durable. Hold a perfect seat practically forever, and improve tone quality by eliminating vortex and pad-skin vibratory noises as the air escapes the tone holes. You get a more perfect sound, without the"fufft" air-wooshing ... moreR-13's are famous for(especially on throat keys, side trills and the ever troublesome C#G# Bore Polished. If you've never played a clarinet with at*properly* polished bore. You are in for a treat as the sound is clearer and moisture doesn't condensate like a non-polished bore. All that condensation in regular bores changes the acoustic nodal points within the bore and can change your sound dramatically. Also, moisture doesn't penetrate the wood and that significantly reduces your chances for a check or crack in the wood. I have always used Paraffin wax on my tenon corks. Not only does it provide a nice tight joint with the"right" feel during assembly; the wax doesn't dissolve the glue that keeps the cork on the tenon. Corks will last. On average 10x longer than using cork grease. Application is needed much less frequently than cork grease too. Just get a brick of paraffin from anyplace that sells Ball canning supplies. It will cost less that a tube of cork grease, work 100% better, and last you forever. When I purchased this clarinet in 1991. We think it's swiss as it has a button that says"produit suisse schweizerfabrikat" It is all one piece and measures approximately 46 1/2" l x 18 1/2" w x 56" tall. The top is approximately 36 1/4" l x 9 3/4" w x 29 1/2" tall. The bottom is approximately 43" l x 17" w x 24 1/2" tall. One of the glass doors is broken where the handle was attached and will need to be replaced. We still have the handle so you could still use it and they would match. We're not sure of the wood. But we believe the interior of the bottom section is satin wood. It is in overall nice condition, it does have some marks appropriate to age and use. Any amateur player should be happy to own it. I took several photos so the condition can be easily viewed. The mouthpiece is a separate brand. And it's common to buy the mouthpiece separately because there are different sizes and styles. It HAS been completely cleaned and refurbished with the corks and pads replaced. My clarinet professor(at the University of Florida) said this was probably the best new A clarinet he's ever played! It has been ... morecompletely overhauled by Taplain& Weir(that's the unfortunate fact of today's"new" instruments- you need to have them completely gone over immediately! As well as custom-reamed by the best woodwind tech guy in the world, Francois Kloc. I also had Buffet's lead repairman, Bruce Marking, completely go through it as well. The result is that this instrument is truly incredible. Better than the quality that you'll find in a Tosca or Divine. Almost comparable to an old vintage A Buffet(that's not been used) without the tuning issues! The sound is very open. But centered. It can project, but also work VERY well for intimate, chamber, or solo settings. I have often looked for instruments like this, as have many! It is due to the reaming work of Francois, and the custom sealing work of Taplain& Weir, that such a sound can be produced(at SO many dynamic levels) with such quality! Evette Buffet Crampon Soprano Saxophone with Vandoren Mouthpiece
You are bidding on a little repair project of mine that I never got around to finishing. It is a Vintage Evette Buffet Crampon Soprano Saxophone pictured above. You can still play it. But the higher octave has some air leaks. I would advise re-padding the saxophone. The gold lacquer is rather worn and faded, as pictured, but if you just want a soprano to add to your collection, this is a great piece. All keys are operational, there are no physical defects, just the worn lacquer and minor pad fixes. Also with the saxophone you get a Vandoren Paris V5 Mouthpiece that really helps the horn sound great. The ligature included is also a vandoren ligature. But it is not a perfect fit for the mouthpiece, but it does the job. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.

Exceptionally Nice Playing Buffet B-12 Plastic Bb Clarinet
I have for sale an exceptionally nice playing but used and overhauled Buffet Crampon B-12 plastic clarinet, serial#945868. This clarinet was made in Germany and is less than 10 years old but it looks and plays like a new one. The plastic tubes have some minor scuffs and scratches and one key has some plating wear. But other than that, it looks great. It has been overhauled with all new cork pads on the upper joint and bladder pads on the lower joint and new tenon corks. It has been cleaned and keys polished and is ready to go. Once in a while I come across an exceptional clarinet and this is one. It plays really easily and sounds just as good as any Buffet E-11 being sold today for around $1500 new. Even the new B-12's sell for around $800 in the stores. They say this is a beginner clarinet but I would compare it to an intermediate E-11. ... moreIt is identical to the E-11. Except that instead of the tubes being wood, they are plastic. A n advantage that plastic has over wood is that you don't have to worry so much about them cracking. They break but they don't crack anyway. It comes with a used NEMC mouthpiece that works great with it. A metal ligature and a metal mouthpiece cover. The ca se is a used Leblanc case that is structurally sound. The metal parts had some rust on them but it's been sanded off as good as possible and the y look decent. If you should bid on this clarinet and and you aren't happy with it. I will gladly take it back and even pay for return postage so you don't have to be afraid to bid. If you want your child to start out with a good clarinet. This one is for you. The drawer is dovetailed and the piece has its original hardware. There is a triangular label inside the drawer that reads MADE IN GRAND RAPIDS TRADEMARK REGISTERED GRM. The pulls on the cabinet are push button release. Very unique. The cabinet opens to a large storage area. The front legs have claw feet. The cabinet sits on casters. On the back side ... morethere is a round label that reads NEW ENGLAND FURNITURE CO. SIDEBOARDS AND BUFFETS NO. 1714. There is a ring on the shelf above the mirror and a couple of partial rings on the cabinet top. There appears to be a burn mark on the cabinet top as well. The veneer on the crown is splitting and bubbling. On one drawer the veneer is split in one spot as well. The varnish on the front of the doors is pretty thin. This is antique, it will not be perfect. I do not know the exact date this buffet was made. This piece measures 59 ¼ inches tall, 42 1/8 inches side to side and 25 ¾ inches front to back. Barrel, and body joints except the thumbrest has been moved and the holes in the original position have been filled in, however the work looks nicely done, plus there is a very tiny nick in the wood right next to the thumbrest. Pads and Corks: the pads show light to moderate wear from normal use; the cork on the tenons appear to be fairly new. Although the cork on the upper tenon of the upper joint looks like it was applied a little loose-fitting and has chipped in one small spot, but still the barrel fits on nice and snug. Clarinet Buffet B12 needs a bit service
Clarinet Buffet 12. Quite old and left in its case for very long time. Never got around to play it and dont know much about clarinet but the lower key the F needs attention as it doenst shut and open properly. Hence the very low start as those clarinets cost a fortune when you buy new. I think it is just a matter of adjusting or replacing the spring. But as I dont play it I will leave it to the future owner. I just want to make it sure that you know that you need to bring the clarinet to get serviced. Other than that it is in good condition cork ara good and tight. And clarinet sounds great and very sweet. Comes with original case. VINTAGE BUFFET CRAMPON CLARINET IN CASE SERIAL #29965
Up for auction is a VINTAGE BUFFET CRAMPON CLARINET IN CASE SERIAL#29965. In looking at the serial number directory. I believe this clarinet was made between 1946 and 1957; probably the mid to late 40s as serial numbers ended at 28000 in 1945. I do not play the clarinet and really don't know too much about them but this one looks to be in good condition for it's age; I see no cracks. It will need new cork, cleaning, and most likely new pads. In the case there is some cork material, a cleaning rag, and some cork grease. There is also an Elson's Pocket Music Dictionary which was stuck behind the fold down in the case. The case is in good condition as well other than some stitching coming loose on one side. Evette Buffet Crampon Alto Sax Saxophone w/case Ready to Play! This is a nice playing and feeling horn. I was quite surprised when I played it. It has a nice vibrant sound and all octaves play in tune right on the button. 2) the serial number is 800698 3) Beneath the Serial number is the initial R.O.C. 4) The pads on the horn all look as though they were recently replaced except for maybe 2 pads. 5) The lacquer is a beautiful light colored brass.very attractive. There are a number of places on the horn where the lacquer has worn/rubbed off which detracts somewhat from its appearance. I saw no major dents(except a small dent on bottom) on the horn. And the neck is in good shape. Most importantly it plays much better than most horns in this beginner-intermediate range and reminds me of a Yamaha YAS-23 instead of a Bundy II. This is a bell for a Buffet Crampon Tosca B-flat clarinet. In almost-new condition. Except there is a small"notch" out of the rim- you can see this in picture 1 at the bottom right and more obviously in picture 2. Stamped TOS B on the reverse. The Tosca bell has a special design-feature like a step below the socket. Where the bore is suddenly larger. This is, I guess, based on the same principle as the Backun"voicing groove" though with the Backun, the flare is fairly consistent apart from the groove which goes out and back in, if that makes sense. Which has Selmer-like ergonomics, with a big, warm, smoky tone that is medium-spread. There's a dent by the G key that looks as good as it's going to without major work, and a spot of lacquer wear on the bell, probably from a mic. This horn has been relacquered, and it was done well, by the look of the engraving etc. It has just gotten several pads replaced and had some other adjustments made. There is still some play in the keywork, so if you wanted this horn to be perfect, it would need more mechanical ... morework to make it as tight as it can be. The neck is in great shape with no past damage. It ships in a nice, sturdy hardshell case. This is a good vintage tenor for the money. This set of A and Bb clarinets is in GOOD overall condition with moderate to heavy wear and tear and both are in need of repad in order to be playable. THE ORIGINAL BARRELS ARE MISSING WITH LEE SPRINGER BARRELS IN PLACE OF THEM. Because these clarinets both need to be repadded. In really beautiful condition. However, as I don't play I don't know how it sounds. It has probably not been played in over 20 years due to the age of the estate's children. So, I would suggest buyer assumes it will need new pads, reeds, and whatever is frequently replaced due to age or usage. It has no apparent damage inside or out.
