J2957 This is a oak 3 section bookcase with sliding doors circa 1905. It was manufactured by the Danner Company around the turn of the century. John Danner specialized in manufacturing office furniture. It has a extra large and deep lower section that provides 11 inches deep by 22 inches high and 17 inches wide of clearance. The 2 top sections have 9 inches deep of clearance which is standard. All three sections have adjustable shelves. The lower section has a pull out shelf. The bookcase also has a bottom drawer. The top crown section has"egg and dart" trim. The piece has"leaded" glass doors with some beveled pieces. These are really hard to find with all the options on this model. Overall it is 16 inches deep. 37 inches wide across the front, and 85 1/2 inches tall. mission lamp and bookcase,very unique,one of a kind
this unique piece of furniture is a one of kind. I have checked every book ever printed with pictures and have found nothing, i have and you can check the web for the same. its about 57 inches high and has one door that opens up with 3 shelves inside. i have added several pictures. the first picture shows the item as i got it.without the top. from folks that have seen something similar, i added a beveled piece of wood and hooked up a brass rod for a lamp to be attached.one side of the item shows those things(i don't know what they are called)so that the pieces can be connected without screws. another picture shows what the item looks like with the door open, the top piece has been added.and one of the pictures shows the back of the item. you will see a small hole and a square opening below the small hole. when i got it, there was a screw ... moreinside the structure and implanted in the small hole. i took this screw to a hardware store to find out what kind of screw it was. They told me it was for an electrical wire to go thru. inside, not shown was a horizontal piece with a hole in the center, so with this information, i felt that the electrical post went inside thru the hole in the piece of wood and that electrical post was the post that held the bulb and the shade. The electrical cord which would of gone thru the electrical post also went outside the structure and thats why the hole is there,because the electrical cord would of have to be plugged in.I also found out that if you notice that there are openings on the sides and on the front of the structure too, these openings are for decoration only. they could of been used for something else, but i can't figure out what. i am not sure whether this means anything, but i saw this piece in a home in which i bought it 30 years later. and the home is situated in the Hyde Park area where there are many mission style homes and a frank lloyd wright home,the same area where President Obama owns a residence.whether this piece is a frank lloyd wright piece or another famo

It stands about 62 1/2 Inches Tall. Has a Width of about 48 Inches and is approximately 14 Inches Deep. This lovely example of a quality Mid-Century piece has been constructed of a very fine quality of rich and warmly grained Mahogany. It features two glass doors framed in the Mahogany. 4 Adjustable Shelves and a Wood back. Notice that the 4th shelf has been taken out to accommodate some of our taller display items. It is resting upon the top of this cabinet as you might notice in the photographs. It appears that over the years. A few modifications have been performed. We notice that the door handle knobs and front door lock have been replaced. We do not have the key for this lock. The entire piece is made of quarter sawn oak and the doors still retain the original wavy glass. The knob on the bottom door is slightly different than the other three. There is some lifting of veneer on the very top of the bookcase. This is not obvious because there is trip all around it. Overall this piece is in very good condition and looks beautiful. Maker i do not know, quality of horner but is not likely his work, is as well constructed and remains in that condition after 120 years of service. there are no loose or wobbly screws or holes. the hardware is all original and perfect. it has all original locks that are all tight and just like the day they were installed. it has the original keys and all the locks lock and work perfectly. when the door is shut there is not crack or room between the door and frame large enough to allow a razor blade to slide into. the same way with the drawers, drop front and top drawer which is spectacular and boast a serpentine curve. this piece is as solid and tight as any i have ever owned and the correctness and tightness would lead one ... moreto believe it was made yesterday. not really, they do not make stuff in this day and time that remotely compares to antique furniture. most secretary desks, there are some gaps in the bookcase door, usually wobbly hinges, drop front loose, drawers flopping here and there. you can shut most of them up but they have issues. anyway, construction is perfect, solid, quality material, and workmanship. who ever made it was a triple A firm. on the back there is a paper label that has spaces for the no. of the item, the finish, who did the cabinet work, filling, rubbing, polishing, trimming, and packing. these areas have been penciled in, but the wording has faded beyond ascertainment. there is also a label that has willick bros, muncating? somewhere. can't make that out either. the piece also has incised inventory numbers in the boards feature only used by the highest quality furniture makers. it also has stamped inventory nos. here and there. are you bored yet? now for the piece itself. so well done. pierced carved,very very well done griffins on each corner of the top crest. great solid tight sconce in the center held up by a wonderful turned column, all fitting perfectly and as

Circa 1875. This absolutely magnificent piece is made out of beautiful walnut and Carpathian elm burl; the wood is just gorgeous. One will first notice the width to height ratio is very symmetrical. This piece is taller than most.The Roman arched doors below and above bring both parts together in flowing harmony unlike similar secretaries that have drawers below or worse a door and drawers. The Carpathian elm burl panels lend nice contrast to the darker walnut surrounding. The wavy glass is original to the piece as is the finish which has been waxed to a mellow sheen. Vtg 1970's Teak Retro Etagere Bookcase Mid-Century Modern Eames Herman Miller
This is a sensational circa 1970's etagere shelf rack unit. It is made of teak cross-members that clamp with set screws onto orange coated steel tubes which are very sturdy and support glass shelves. Very minimalist design. I do not know the exact age but I do know they are older and it has an Allied moving sticker with a patent date of 1965 and 1970 so I am leaving the sticker attached for reference and date approximation. It measures 85" tall 25.5" wide and 17 5/8" deep. It is in excellent overall condition with minimal wear. The glass shelves are removable and can adjust by moving the teak bars up and down along the tubes. The glass is also in excellent condition but there is a large scratch across one that fortunately is not very noticeable. These come completely apart and will be shipped in two boxes. Hi. This is a nice lot of small Egyptian style figurines. I believe them to be a copper coated metal set on alabaster stone. All the stone is in good condition with only a small chip in the side bottom of the Sphinx. The figurines have wear to the finish on all and the top of Nefertiti's head dress is very dark. The chin piece on King Tut unscrews from the figurine and has almost no finish and some slight damage at the top where it comes away from the chin. The group has a lot of vintage character and I am selling as found with no cleaning. They each weigh approx. 1 lb.
