But this gothic revival bookcase with glazed doors must date towards the 4th quarter of the 19th century. These are 2 Globe Wernicke barrister bookcase sections ma de by Lycoming Furniture Co. A division of G lobe Wernicke. Each is the st andard 33" L x 13" W size wit h the height being just shy of 15" and 17" Both are structu rally sturdy but do need some refinishing work. The scratches you see on the inside are smooth and not deep gauges. Nei ther have knobs. The glass is intact. I'm not sure why the back s are diffe rent colors. the rest of them match. Great piece of Arts and Crafts furniture by Shop of the Crafters. Has a large middle door and 2 small side doors. Signed with partial early paper label on back shown in picture 11. It is large measuring 88" tall. 43" wide and 17" at its largest depth. It does come with a key. Issues: 1. At one pont this bookcase had been painted white. It has been refinished but you can see in photos there is still some small white paint residue inside it and in the inlaid parts, please refer to photos. 2. The very top of the bookcase has warped a little and cracked some shown in pictures 7& 8. 3. The very bottom right of the large door has a crack in the wood shown in picture 9. 4. The 2 bale pulls for the small side doors are missing but the large middle door has its bale pull. 5. The top right square is missing its small glass piece ... morebut I'm having one cut for it so will have a glass piece their when picked up. 6. It comes with one original shelf but the rest are not original to the bookcase. They were cut to fit this bookcase though shown in the last picture. Has other normal wear from age as well. Here. For your consideration, is an awesome vintage metal bookcase. Has Spanish style detail with"wrought iron" finials and sides. It is plastic. The shelves are adjustable The finials are pressed into the top as are the side panels. All pieces are in great condition with the exception of one tab on one panel that has broken off. But doesn't affect how it sits. As you can see this is in very good condition needing mainly a cleanup. The last picture shows a piece of weather stripping that was on the bottom shelf. This is a Gl obe We rnicke bookcase section. It measures the standard 33" L x 13" W x 14.75" H. The label is missing but I believ e from others I've had it's a mahogany finish. The good news is that it's st ructurally very s tur dy and the glass is intac t. All hardware is present and the door slides as it sho uld. It does need some refin ishing to be perfect. T he scratches on the inside are primarily surface marks and not deep scratches. They are smo oth to the touch. One of the metal kn obs on the top needs repair as can be seen in the picture. Globe Wernicke Stackable Bookcase!! 2 Sections!! Early 1900's
Up for sale is a piece of antique furniture! This piece dates back to the early 1900's and is fair to good shape for the age of it. There is normal wear to the bookcase. Some scratches but nothing to diminish this piece. There is a lit bit of water damage to the top of the case, it is not terrible but there is a little flaking, i took a picture it is located on the top of the case on the left side. Please be sure to inspect photos for complete description as this sale is"AS-IS" This is a stackable bookcase and you are able to add or take sections away! Very cool piece! There are four sections to this bookcase, included is the base, the bottom section(32"x 14" the top section(32"x 12" and finally the top part of the bookcase. The bottom glass door is also missing, it will need to be replaced but im sure thats ... morea cheap fix. This piece still has the original sticker from the store it was purchased from in Newark NJ. 1960's Green Metal Bookcase Shelf Unit Mid Century Modern Retro 4 Shelves
1950's or 60's metal shelf unit. Bookcase has four shelves, do not adjust, it is mid century modern style. Unit is solid and in excellent original condition The unit is sturdy and well made. It measures, 10 wide and 31 long. It stands 36 high. Great size for a small apt or loft. Very good original condition for years of use. Green paint is very good.
