20 GREAT EXAMPLES OF VINTAGE FURNITURE COVERINGS! WONDERFUL'BOOK' OF ANTIQUE/VINTAGE"SLUMBER CHAIR COVER SAMPLES" FABRIC- UPHOLSTERY- ... moreFURNITURE COVERING SAMPLES DATES FROM THE 1920S- WWII 20 SAMPLES FROM THE MAKERS OF THE STREIT SLUMBER CHAIR CINCINNATI. OH BASED UPON MY RESEARCH: The slumber chair was made by C. F. Streit Manufacturing Co. founded in 1871 in Cincinnati. OH. The"Slumber Chair" was made from the mid 1920's until World War II. I have included a lot of pictures because this sample book is in rough condition. It is VERY OLD& it's dirty! I have not attempted to clean it whatsoever. I will leave that up to the buyer. I think that the samples themselves could be cleaned up quite nicely with an upholstery cleaner. The metal binding& the staples that affix the little tags to each sample are rusty. Therefore there are rust marks/stains on the fabric throughout the book. Condition of samples: there are some rough spots, stains, and some of the outer stitching is coming apart on a few. The upper left of the black part that reads"Slumber Chair Cover Samples" is not there. Measures approximately 9 3/4" X 9 3/4" PLEASE REFER TO THE PICTURES AND ITEM DESCRIPTION& ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. AS THERE ARE NO RETURNS. ANTIQUE CHILD'S BLANKET BOX Chest 18th Century Dovetailed w Orig. Snipe Hinges
I am pleased to be offering for sale this handsome antique wooden child's(doll's) blanket box or chest. This piece. Which I am told dates to the 18th Century, features dovetailed construction and original snipe hinges. There is a keyhole as well as a hand-carved recess for a lock; however, the lock is long gone. The box measures approximately 22 1/4" long by 9 1/2" deep by 8 5/8" high. As you can see, this box is a rich dark brown(not sure what kind of wood it is) with a great aesthetic. As to condition, I would point out that it does have scratches and dings commensurate with its significant age. Also, the moulding alongside the left base is slightly loose. Finally, as shown, there are a few non-structural cracks in the back panel of the piece. In short, this piece has wear and tear in line with its significant age, ... morebut still has a very striking aesthetic and many years of use left in it. Don't miss this chance to own it!

antique victorian mini hope chest straw rattan blanket trunk
As shown lots of character
Solid Pine Blanket or Hope Chest - Hand Painted Farm Scene - Signed
There is no maker mark on the chest. It could be homemade folk-art but it appears to be too well constructed to come from a hobbyist. Being pine. I am confident it was made in the US. I am not sure on age but it is not antique, maybe 1980's. It is the beautiful farm scene that sets this piece apart from other chests. It is signed Brenda. The paint is in excellent condition(not popping, peeling, etc. with only a couple blemishes. The only one worth noting is a dark circle in the sky that is shown in the photos and is smaller than a dime. The artist cleverly used the wood grain to represent the ground. The chest is generally in excellent condition but, like anything used and especially with pine, there are a few blemishes. Nothing significant. Overall dimensions are 25" wide by 13" deep by 18" tall. Inside clear dimensions ... moreare 22.25" wide by 11.75" deep by 12" tall.

RARE 1800's ANTIQUE EARLY FOLK ART HAND PAINTED Pine TRUNK BLANKET CHEST Nice
RARE 1800's(It may be 1700's) ANTIQUE EARLY America FOLK ART HAND PAINTED TRUNK BLANKET CHEST Very old and yes I WILL SHIP TO YOUR ADDRESS Up for sale is this amazing hand painted trunk or blanket chest. It's a beautiful trunk with tons of character and that true folk art flavor. Many trunks that were highly decorated like this were wedding trunks but who can know? It has a hinged lid as you can see in the pictures. The trunk has red white and blue with some green accents. The paint appears to be painted over what appears to be a green trunk that has some Romanian name lettering on the front. It was probably a trunk that originally came over by ship then painted by the owner after getting to America. This is all original and has nicks. Chips and scrapes, and worm marks on it as you'd expect from an item of this age. The painting ... moreon the front and sides is very colorful and worn through several areas to base color. Wow! That's amazing! The trunk is wonderfully hand painted. Inside. The trunk is clean. There's a little tray on the left side inside, and it still has the original cover or lid to the tray. One of the hinges on the lid of the trunk was replaced at some point but is still old. The hardware on the sides is old and ornate. There are no square nails in this trunk that we can see and there are a number of worm holes at the bottom of the front and under the front lip. This is typical for old trunks like this as they've been around the block(and world) It's an nice size and is 39" wide(at the lid) L x 16" W x 14" H. It weighs about 50 lbs. we'd guess. This is a very nice trunk for those of you who love Primitives or folk art. It's one of a kind! It would certainly make for an interesting conversation piece. Thank you for looking at this item. Let me know if you have any questions. I am not positive it is pine wood it may be poplar but it is light. This can be picked up at my house within 3 days of auction end. Shipping is a flat 250.00 to anywhere in US(No

Beautiful Antique Korean Blanket Chest 1850s with lock - pickup
Korea is known for its beautiful wooden chests made during the Choson Dynasty. Between 1850-1899. Here is one such chest I bought in the antique district of Seoul, South Korea in 1984. It is made of elmwood and has a small shelf inside on the left which was added for more usable space. This style of chest was used for storing clothing and blankets. The inside is covered with antique calligraphy paper, as you can see on the inside of the door. I believe it is actually old Korean newspaper from the 19th century. Some of it is loose or frayed on the inside from gentle chest usage. The warm color of the elmwood is exquisitely detailed with white brass hinges. Corners, and a beautiful circular mandala in the center with a fish shaped lock, that comes with its own tassled key. One of the hinges on the right door has a crack but the door is still ... moreusable. The chest is cleverly made with 3 carrying handles-one in the front, and one on each side. The chest sits on a base that was tailor made for it and can be removed easily. If desired. Construction is sturdy with dovetailing visible on the top. Dimensions: 35-1/2" wide x 31-1/4" high x 16" deep. This beautiful chest could be a showpiece in your home! You can use it in your bedroom to store blankets or clothing. Or as an accent piece or end table in your living room. Wherever you choose to give it a home, it will be a wonderful topic of conversation, for sure. This item is for LOCAL PICKUP ONLY in South Florida. If you are interested in having it shipped. You will have to make the arrangements and take care of the expenses yourself, but I can locate a local shipper for you to help you out. Item must be prepaid via PayPal in advance of pickup. Price is reasonably starting at $883 as most of these high quality chests will go for around $1600. Please message me with any questions before you bid. All my items are sold as is. With no returns. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for stopping in!
