The center below the mirror is adorned with a textured glass surface reflecting a pale blue colour. Its Art deco lines, adorned with a lovely stripy grain veneer in a golden shade are accented by silver tone openwork handles. Small drawers offer space for accessories or make-up and it can easily fit on a night stand, chest or work top making it an very useable and versatile piece. It is in excellent overall condition for its age with no major damage. There are some slight bubbles in the veneer in a couple of places. And one small chip has been filled on the middle drawer. The attachment between the mirror and the stand is slightly wobbly on the left hand side, but stable. It's an old Victorian sewing or dresser box covered in gorgeous sage green silk and dripping with gorgeous antique bridal lace. The lids is done with a rope trim and a rosette which has flattened out a bit. Looks like the top used to be pink but has since faded. Measures 10" x 10" x 3.5" tall. Inside is covered in a pretty faded pink plaid silk. It is in very good shape for it's age considering it's about 100 years old. There are a few light spots here and there but nothing horrible. The worst I saw was UNDER the lace where you don't see it. Not on the lace but under it. There ae a few tiny little holes in the silk but nothing horrible or unusual for the age. It's a gorgeous piece to sit out on your dresser or sewing stand to display. We have so many wonderful vintage treasures that we have picked up to list. Antique Victorian Vanity Case 1870s Large Orange Plush - DISPLAY CASE
This auction is for a Victorian vanity case that must at one time have rested on a lady's vanity table. It contained her mirror and manicure items. Her perfume bottles, her hair brush and comb, hair pins, as well as tiny jars for perfumes or moisturizers. Today alas only the mirror is left. It has decorative scalloped edges. Probably made in wood and then covered in batting and then orange plush. The two upper sections are seen swung out but they fold up into a scallop shell. The lower section swings out, lazy susan fashion to reveal contents of the lower compartment. It is a good display size- 12 inches high and 9 1/2 deep. But has two widths: 19 inches wide, as seen in the photos, and 13 inches wide when the two upper"wings" are folded together. Please don't hesitate to email with any questions and thanks for looking!

AMAZING PIECE I am only selling this because I have the same one or I would never part with this gem. Its amazing. Its got pinkish/amber glass, more pink than amber and its a nice large size to display your pretties in. All glass with gold sides and a tufted inside, it doesn't get any better for me. Ok, so its a total gem but its not perfect, going to do my best to explain imperfections. Its got great cherubs/barbola roses on its top applique, and the tufted shelves just rock to place your miniatures in, its still amazing even with its imperfections. 1) the front door right side lots of gold tabs missing. See photo 5 6 and 7, so the glass is a bit loose on the door, just a little. 2) Lots of the corners of glass are chipped. Front panel right top side is chipped, bottom corners have minor chips, panel on right side top right has a nice ... moresize fleck out of it, the very top portion of case has a large fleck in top right corner, and the glass is a bit loose on right side panel and there is a gap at top between gold tabs and glass. 3) the bottom tufted shelf comes loose but it sits great once in place 4) It looks like the left foot on front has a crack in it. Perhaps repaired and it sits a bit to the right, I don't want to play with it because it sits perfectly but I do see a crack all the way around. Like I said. It isn't perfect but that is to be expected with its age. Its so beautiful and all the imperfections really do NOT take away from it at all, I just like to mention everything so you are not disappointed when you get it, but I assure you, this piece is amazing. Measures: 11.25" from feet to top of cherubs. At top across its 8.5" wide and its 4" in depth, a very nice large size curio. This will be double boxed for safe arrival. Ornate repousse-style work with lovely nouveau scrolling and floral designs. Masterfully engraved monogram which appears to read"MHG" This set is in beautiful condition. Appearing to never have been given any thorough(or damaging) cleaning. All pieces have been carefully dusted and cleaned with soft paintbrushes to remove dirt and grime, and glossed over a few times with a silver cloth(and a light touch) The lovely patina in the low points gives the pieces amazing depth. If it's your desire to restore them, they will shine beautifully. Just the few swipes with my silver cloth brought the backs to almost mirror like shine. They're currently stored carefully so as ... moreto not gather any more dust. Condition of the silver parts is excellent with no significant or notable wear. Just a few very small shallow dings to the edges which are visible only if you're looking for them. Brushes are mostly clean and are not missing any plugs as far as I can tell. Mirror is as shown, with loss of the silver backing on the mirror and some scraping on the edges of the bevel. Markings on mirror and hair brush read"STERLING 5702" The maker's marks have been worn off of this set. But I have seen identical sets with their marks intact. This set is made by Whiting Manufacturing Company- which existed from 1866 to 1924, after which it was absorbed by Gorham. The mirror is 10 inches long x 5 3/4 inches wide. The hairbrush is 9 inches long and 3 inches wide. The clothing brush is 7 1/4 inches wide and 2 inches long. Mirror is approximately 12.6 oz. Hair brush is 6 oz. Clothing brush is 4 oz.

Vintage Antique Victorian Stand Swivel Mirror Cast Iron? Vanity Ornate
This lovely vintage mirror stands 13 inches tall and is 9 1/2 inches wide at the base. I believe it to be cast iron. Definitely some type of heavy metal. It has natural patena and has no breakage in the mirror itself. It features a coin/jewelry scoop in the front which does show some rusting. Antique Ormolu Standing Vanity Mirror - 9.5 by 7.75 inches
Elegantly styled. This is a rectangular vanity mirror that is 5.5 x 3.75 inches set within a 2 inch frame made of cast iron plated with ormolu(an alloy that is gold in color) Judging from the estate that was the owner, I believe it to have been fashioned between 1900 and 1940. The mirror is in excellent shape with no apparent scratches. It is reflecting a white background in all the pictures which accounts for its flat appearance. Photographs 3 and 4 show the back with its folding stand. It is quite probable that the backing for the mirror is not the original. Shipping weight is 2 pounds 9 ounces and Ebay will calculate the postage based upon that and the destination.

Charles of the Ritz Antique Vanity Rouge
This amazing Charles of the Ritz compact is gold tone and decorated with black enamel on the lid with a goldtone circle in the center. Inside is the original puff and protective paper over the rouge. it appears to have been used once or twice at most. The outside is very clean with only a little bit of discoloration on the bottom. Original sticker showing name of color(True Red" on bottom. The mirror on the inside is in excellent condition. It opens and closes perfectly. Compact is one-and-a-half inches in diameter. Inherited from my Great Aunt and has been stored in its original box for many years.

Antique 1930s Vintage Mid Century Dorset 5th Ave Compact Collectible Vanity Item
With many of it's former 5th Avenue counterparts[including Rex. Columbia and Zell] Dorset was a big name along 5th Avenue when it came to powder compacts. Alongside their manufacturing of lucite handbags, Dorset produced moderately priced compacts between the 1930s to 1950, by 1951 they had merged with their 5th Avenue rival Rex to become Dorset- Rex and thus discontinued manufacturing under the Dorset brand. This compact bears the name of Dorset only. This compact probably dates to the late 1940s. I love the attention to detail with the floral design on the cover. It has a gold tone case. The opening mechanism works great and this piece is complete- it even has the original powder screen inside. While the compact itself remains unbranded. It comes complete with original, unused puff- the name Dorset Fifth Avenue printed across the ribbon ... moreband. The inside mirror is included. For it's age it remains in a great condition- with sturdy hinge and few markings to the patina. It's certainly a lucky find. ANTIQUE KARPEN VANITY MIRROR Acquired at an estate sale is this Karpen vanity mirror. The Karpen& Bros. furniture company was established in Chicago in 1880 by German immigrants Solomon and Oscar Karpen. At the height of their success in the early 20th century. The company employed several hundred people, and was considered a leader in the upholstered furniture market. Karpen was purchased in 1952 by the Schnadig Corporation. And towards the end of the 20th century the company was still manufacturing furniture from Chicago, with plants based in various locations around the United States. The original Karpen plate is present on the back of the bottom cross bar. Overall measurements are 25 ½ inches tall. 21 ¾ inches from foot to foot and 10 inches from the front to the back of the footed base. The mirror frame measures 21 ¾ ... moreinches tall. 15 ¾ inches wide and about 1 ¼ inches thick. The actual mirror measures 19 ¼ inches tall and 13 ¼ inches wide. The mirror pivots and there are metal turn knobs on both sides. The mirror has some antiquing lines and spots– difficult to photograph. There are no cracks. Chips or breaks in the mirror. The wood base and frame are all intact without any cracks. Breaks, damage or signs of repairs. Unknown wood. There are some scuffs and scratches to the wood that can easily be touched up. There is one tack missing from the backing- see photo- the backing is secure and in place. Monroe Company was one of the largest producers of this type glass. Charles F. Monroe opened his shop first shop in 1880 in Meriden, Connecticut and he dealt primarily in imported glassware. By 1882, Monroe was operating his own glass-decorating studio, and was soon employing highly talented local artists as decorators. When the 1890′s arrived and the demand for finely decorated glass was its height, Monroe employed such fine artists as Carl V. Helmschmied, Walter Nilson, J.J. Knoblauch, Joseph Hickish, Carl Puffee, Flora Fiest, Gustave Reinman, Florence Knoblauch, Emil Melchior, and Alma Wenk, Blanche Duval, Gussie Stremlan, Elizabeth Zeibart, and Elizabeth Casey, The decorators often went back and forth between other companies, and sometimes posed a problem. Bautiful Antique Bed/Vanity/ Heirloom
These have been in my family for more than 80 years that I know of. I have had them for approx. 40 myself. My children are not interested in antiques. But are into contemporary. I have no place to use them anymore and hate to just store them in a garage. The bed has been in use for about 32 years with me.having stored it a few times when my children were too small for it. I did notice when I took it down, it could use a bit of glue in one spot. For their age, they are both is pretty great shape. The box springs and mattress are the cheaper kind( I bought at auction for $90. a few years ago. but are clean and well taken care of. It breaks my hear to sell them. I always wanted them as a child and when my great grandmother passed I talked my grandma out of them. Sad that the younger generation is not interested in heirloom. Antique Cut Glass Powder Jar Flowers Silverplate Rim Trinket Casket Vanity
For sale is a cut glass powder jar! This jar is has two beautifully cut lids adjoined with a silver plate hinged band. The flowers are vivid with detail and the cuts are very deep! This piece is in good condition free of chips or cracks. But there is a fair amount of scratching on the bottom of the powder jar. The bottom glass also needs to be glued to the silver plate band again. The glass and silver plate band are in good condition though. Please see photos for condition and measurements. Antique Victorian Vanity Set 4 With Dresser Mirror, Beautiful Ornate Relief
Antique 4 piece matching set with additional dresser top mirror. Beautiful victorian set ornately decorated with metal open filligree medallions with diamond shape floral pink rose inserts. Open scrollwork to handles of brush& hand held mirror. All made of a goldtone metal possibly brass. Powder jar is 4 footed with an open bottom and is missing it's glass jar insert. It measures 4 3/4" across& 2 1/4"h. Comb has all it's teeth intact and measures 7 1/2"l. Brush has it top& bottom pins removed but the 2 side pins are intact and holds bristle pad firmly. It measures 10"l. Hand held mirror measures 13"l. Mirror is clouded but reflection is not distorted. It has a slight curve/bend to handle. Please view last picture. Dresser mirror does not match the other pieces but looks lovely with them. It is ... morebeautifully embossed ans also has open filligree medallions. 4 ball footed. The rim features a scalloped edge which meets up with the scalloped edge of the beveled glass. The tray measures 13.5" across. The bottom has 4 feet. No chips or cracks. Men's Antique Traveling Tri-Fold Triple Vanity Shaving Travel Mirror
Up for auction is an antique oak men's traveling tri-fold triple mirror frame recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. It is missing all the original mirrors. The mirrors would have been 4 1/8 x 6 1/8. And the corner glue is beginning to go, but lovely patina even with the distressing commensurate with age and use, and beautiful wood, great hanger and hardware. Antique French Rare Half Doll on Vanity Pre 1900
Antique French half-doll. With legsand garters, she sits on a very old cardboard box, I don't dare open it but it seems in good condition. The porcelaine is neither cracked nor chipped however she definitely needs washing, sponge and soap, however I don't like to tamper with antique objects so I have left as is. Her tiny fingers are perfect(but dirty# the rosebud that she holds in her hand is unchipped, the handpainted face is beautifully done. A very nice example of early french handpainted porcelaine. She mesures 4" high x 6" deep#including legs# approx. I will happily answer any questions. PLEASE LOOK VERY CAREFULLY at photos before bidding.
