The trunk has the original Jensen Trunk Factory label inside the hinged lid. The trunk is made of wood, with a nice brown covering that is mainly intact, and metal reinforced seams. There is no key with it, and therefore the main lock on the front does not work. The trunk also has two latches, one on each side of the main lock, that are a unique design and work well. The trunk also has other labels on it from travel, but I am unable to make out any dates. The trunk is 12” tall, 7.5” deep, 24” long and 14.5” wide.

Vintage Antique Steamer Trunk approx. size: 36" x 24" x 12” It has genuine leather handles that are not in good condition because of age wearness. See pictures. It has metal corners. Cood Condition. Please see photos. The trunk can be closed with the padlock. There is also a lock which I assume is in working condition. The key is missing. This is a strong durable virtually air-tight trunk. Nice Antique Doll Steamer Trunk with Insert. The trunk is missing the 2 side handles and the hinges are good along with the front lock. The inside is clean and the insert is in very good condition. There is some light paint spots on the outside of the trunk. That looks easy to remove. The trunk is 14" wide. 8 1/2" deep and 9 1/2" tall. The black metal parts on the out side have some paint loss. Nice Refinished Jenny Lind Steamer Trunk Antique Chest With Key and Tray
Nice Refinished Jenny Lind Style Steamer Trunk With Working Lock and Key and Interior Tray Here is a Jenny Lind refinished trunk from around the 1860's or so. We found this one already finished by someone else and figured it looked pretty decent. So we figured that we didn't have to refinish it. It is made up of some type of hard wood, possibly poplar and it looks like the wood has been finished with a couple of coats of clearcoat. This one has the traditional brass buttons or rosettes on the thin metal banding. The brass buttons have been polished, probably many years ago, although they are starting to tarnish down where they are not as shiny. Here are the measurements: from left to right across the front is 25 1/2 inches. From floor to top is 1 3 1/2 inches. And from front edge to back edge is 14 1/2 inches. Look at the side view ... morepicture and you will see this trunk has the Jenny Lind hourglass shape where the top angles in at the base and the base flares out a little bit, that slice of bread shape. This one comes with the original lock with the original brass lock plate. We have matched up a key that does work with this lock. These early locks lock every time the lid is closed, so the key is very important to be able to unlock the trunk each time the lid is closed. The side handles are cast iron metal underhand pulls. I don't know if they are old or reproduction, but they do have a figure of a deer embossed in the metal. They were on it when we received it and seemed to be ok for handles, so we have left them in place. Going to the interior, it is made up of rough cut boards. We have given the interior four coats of polyurethane to make it not so dry looking. There is a typical stress crack running across the bottom on the inside. There is also a stress crack running across the top which you can see in the top view picture on the exterior of the trunk and the picture where we show the close up of the brass buttons or rosettes. Beautiful Antique Wooden Trunk
This auction is for a wonderful antique wooden trunk or chest and it is an oldie. It measures 24 1/2" long x 13" wide and it is 10 1/2" tall. It looks like it may have locked at one time but there is no key now. It is worn around the edges- it has scratches. Dings, lines, gouges, marks, cracks, lots of surface wear- shelf dust, etc. and the inside has a strong moth ball smell- but even with all of these things that I have mentioned I still think that it has aged beautifully. Lots of different names have been written inside the cover in pencil and the one that is clear is MA Sargent. It is lined with some very old newspaper. This old chest is such a great size to display and it is one of those antiques that just keeps on getting better and better with age. It is a great find and it has the most wonderful look to it. Beautifully restored antique dome-top steamer trunk. Metal sides and top are embossed with an intricate floral design and braced with oak slats. Contrasting black metal covers the corners and edges and is decorated with floral braces at the corners. Metal lock and fasteners and front. Two leather side handles have their original wear and really emphasize the age and history of this piece. The inside of the lid has a charming decoupage design. This is a 110% authentic and genuine antique Louis Vuitton Steamer wardrobe upright trunk dating back to 1913. It's in remarkably great condition. It has all the original hardware with 5 wheels(4 on the bottom and 1 on the side) and 2 handles. The wheel on the side allows the trunk to open easily when it stands on one end. This was convenient when it was used as a wardrobe trunk. The monogram canvas. The wooden slats on the bottom, the locks, the nails, and the leather straps are all marked with LV and/or Louis Vuitton. It is hand painted and monogrammed with the initials L.J.P- it was once used as a wardrobe trunk, the tray is gone but the cedar slat is still there. It's covering is leather with a fish scale diamond pattern, and accented with tin or copper embossing on the front and lid. There is also a metal handle on each side and a lockable clasp(lock not included) on the front. All the hardware, including the hinges, is in excellent shape with great patina. Antique Trunk Charming Restoration! Patent Dates of 1869 and 1877 Very Nice!
For sale today is a restored is a smaller size stagecoach style humpback steamer trunk. The restoration of this great old humpback turned out very very nice. The pictures do not do it justice. I found two patent dates on the center lock of March 1869 and April 1877 which makes this awesome old humpback as much as 136 years old- a true antique. This trunk was in good solid condition when the restoration started and the wood bottom is solid and the wood has been clear coated several times. There are three slats and four metal wheels on the bottom and the trunk rolls easily. The trunk has the two original hinges which are HD.Fancy, tight, work well and the lid closes well. It has 26 pieces of original polished hardware. Still has the original center lock which has been polished and there is no key. This is a really cool vintage trunk made by Texas Trunks out of San Antonio Texas. There is a sticker on the back that seems to put it on united van lines in 1925! To be honest this thing is in very nice shape for something around 90 years old. All straps and buckles are intact and in great shape. The key is missing. There are some scuffs and rubs from the one or two times it looks like it was used for legitimate travel. and on the back panel the laminate is kinda separated from the plywood. You can not see this in the photo.you can only feel it when you run your hand across the back.VERY MINOR. This auction is for an Antique 1870's Dome Top Steamer Trunk. It is patented on the latches July 1. 1873. In addition the latches have a sideways locking mechanism to keep latch closed(see pictures) This trunk is in very Hard to Find, untouched original condition. It has its original embossed leather top and dark finish on metal& wood. There is a thin original leather covering on the front, back, and sides. Leather has a nice Eastlake design in the front. There is an old yellowed finish or conditioner that is flaking on the top of this leather. Seems like it may be original finish or preservative that was just put on this leather(not leather ... moreon top) I did nothing to this trunk inside or out except to dust it off. No leather conditioners or furniture polish or anything else was used on this trunk. It is as found from large Estate and looks like it hasn't been touched in decades. Someone at one point put on new hinges with wood spacers underneath hinges. I removed hinges and found that the original hinges were broken where the strap meets the barrel. Spacer was just placed underneath and is not glued to the trunk. I put replaced hinges back on so it can be used. The inside of the trunk still has its original litho's intact. The tray and inside bottom section of truck has its paper lining which is coming up or missing in some places and has stains. Paper in lid with 2 litho's is also missing some paper. Stains can be seen where paper covers original hinges on the 2 box lids. Girl on lid of larger box that lowers down and has original latch. Rider on horse is above smaller box lid. Both litho's are in outstanding condition for its age. The outside of trunk the handles are missing on the sides. It has heavy duty latches and hardware. Original Brass lock. This exquisite time capsule survived WW1& WW2. Silent movies, the sinking of the Titanic, and the Russian revolution; has laid dormant for over 100 years waiting for the next romance. A very nice antique French hand made trunk by noted trunk maker J. Krogner. Krogner established his business in 1850 and a contemporary of other builders of his day such as Goyard. Vuitton, and Moynat which are considered among the finest. Krogner's store was located at 11 Avenue De L'Opera. A thriving location in the heart of Paris. Near the Paris Opera House. Moynat and another well respected maker. Au Depart, were also located on that street in close proximity. In 1878, it is known Krogner published a"Guide To Paris" book which was in English and quite popular. Because the wrong restoration may sometimes do more damage than good. Antique Wall Saver Trunk Beautiful Restoration Rare Style Patented December 1891
For sale today is a very nicely restored antique flat top wall saver trunk. Very nice restoration. I found patent dates on both corner hinges of December 1891 which makes this awesome old wall saver trunk as much as a 121 years old- a true antique. Wall saver trunks are a rare style of trunk. I have restored over 400 trunks and I have had only 6 or 7 wall saver trunks that I have restored. This trunk was structurally sound when the restoration started and the metal bottom is in good solid condition. Three bottom slats, has had multiple coats of paint applied, three bottom slats, has four original metal wheels and the trunk rolls easily. Still has the three original hinges which are heavy duty, fancy, tight, work well and the lid closes easily. There are 30 plus pieces of original polished hardware and has the original Yale and Towne center ... morelock which has been polished- no key.The key code is AB. The two original mechanical latches are HD, fancy, tight and and work well. There are 12 original solid oak slats in a golden oak color on the trunk. The interior has been removed and it has the original tray. The metal/tin is in good condition. The lid stays are original. The lid lifters are built into the latches. Two new leather handles were installed with the original hardware. This awesome old flat top wall saver is 33 1/2W. 20D and 22 3/4H and weighs 40 lbs. Beautiful Victorian Era Steamer Trunk. Camel or Hump Back Style. Wooden slats across the top. Sides, front and back. The lock is yale. Has the greatest little clover or club design on it. The hardware is gorgeous. Victorian style, trunk style is common or the trunks produced in the late 1800's, 1880's. Large dome. Camel back style. Not slightly domed like some. Very likely belonging to someone from an upper class, usually camel back trunks were bought by people from higher classes, they were more expensive and people bought them b/c they were more beautiful, and b/c they would be placed on the top when they traveled. If their trunk was on top, they rationalized their trunks and belongings would be safer. The trunk is in great condition for its age. The latches however dont latch well. If a key was found however the lock would work ... moreas it aligns perfectly. There are dings and imperfections. Such is expected, but only a defect to some! Hi up for auction I have an antique Hartmann Gibralterized travel steamer trunk. These trunks were designed to travel on ships or rail systems. This trunk dates from the 1920's to 1930's. It is very heavy and large. Measures: 20 x22 x 40 5/8. And has a weight of 95 pounds. The trunk has some nice labels on it. Has a piece of masking tape on one side that reads" Los Angeles" The trunk has no keys or hangers. I thought this would make a great coffee or end table. This trunk was in storgae for over 60 years. 1890s Majestic Dome top antique trunk. This is a quite large and ornate trunk with many features. This trunk has a lot of storage space and will fit into just about any decor. The outside has the Sunburst embossed pattern on all four sides and the top. The grooved hardwood staves have a beautiful grain. The use of vertical staves on the front adds a lot of character. Most of the hardware is cast metal and very intricate. Rare red coloring. One side handle is unattached. Please email with any questions. This is a must see! ANTIQUE Metal Bound STAGE COACH Trunk 19th Cent. Ornate Brass Lock LEATHER LINED
Beautiful Refinished 19th Century Stage Coach Trunk Solid Wood. Was covered on the outside w/ paper, but most of paper was gone paper was cleaned off. And trunk was sanded, and finished leather straps were added to the trunk. Original ones were gone I chose these straps. As the design on them was much like that of the original paper: The handle on the left side(when facing the front) is the original handle. Amazingly still very sturdy, the other is a replacement, matches very well The loop at the top above the lock is a replacement. Matches the handles The lock could presumably be made to work again. But doesn't at this time, I don't have the key either The lock is beautiful. It is a Jenny Lind style lock, very intricate and beautifully designed The inside is totally lined with leather. I chose this instead of paper or fabric since ... moreso many trunks from this century were covered with leather, I thought it would be awesome to have one lined with it instead, makes it unique and luxurious: The leather lining also has two very functional pockets on the back side. Inside, that are very useful for holding small items you might place in your trunk! measurements are 31in x 16in& 17.5 tall excellent condition!

Up for sale is this antique victorian dome top steamer trunk/pirate's chest made by M. M. Secor- The Great Northwestern Trunk and Traveling Bag Manufactory. It measures 31" long by 19" wide and 23" tall(no key) The original canvas that wrapped this trunk has been removed and the wood was hand sanded then sealed with two coats of spar urethane(light sand in between coats) The exterior has some character flaws from age. Missing handles and some missing trim but overall it is in good condition- very functional and solid. The interior of this trunk has been left in all original condition to keep some of it's history. The paper lining has some wear from age as pictured but overall it is in fair condition with no odor.
