The legs have been painted and have a golden brown, glazed finish. The table top is solid wood. It has been hand painted in a modified"checker board" design of black and beige. It is distressed with peeled, worn paint. This is a very beautiful table. Some of the old screws have been replaced with newer ones so the table is quite sturdy and in very good condition with no wobbles. It is quite striking! The table measures 27.75" tall. Each side has a wonderful scroll work arm to support the top piece. The center post. Pole or leg has a stacked look which attaches to the domed base. I took a picture of how the top is attached with the old original screws on one side from underneath. This stand or table base needs to either have the bolt or screw that runs up the center replaced or tightened up. There is no damage to the piece– no breaks. Cracks, or repairs. There are some areas of old original paint, and some areas of rust coloring. The bottom of the base has the most rust coloring, but there are no areas of pitting or weakness in the metal. We gave this pieces a quick going over with a hard bristle brush and nothing else. With a bit of time and elbow grease, this will be a work of art. The art glass piece has an unusual green iridescent. Crackle finish and it has a nice polished edge opening. The vase is typical of 1910s-1920s art glass and was probably made by one of the large American companies, like Steuben. It measures about 13½" tall and is in great condition with no chips. MA origin) or Coastal Massachusetts Item# 130003OFF16 This is a wonderful American Queen Anne Candle Stand. Crafted during the last quarter of the 18th Century during the years of 1775-1800 out of very dense and well figured mahogany. The octagonal top is uncommon and very desirable, cut from a solid plank of mahogany with edges molded of the solid. Beneath the table, a chamfered batten stretches across the surface entirely undisturbed, still retaining it's original hand filed iron screws- the craftsman was generous with screws used to secure the top, recognizing the danger only a few screws could pose to the table top when shrinking and expanding occurs. As a result, the top is free of cracks or splits, retaining the same grain display the ... moreboard was chosen for originally. Beneath the table is an old yellowed note. Secured beneath nailed plastic, reading"Frank Morton from his loving mother Mary Alice Smith, Newton Towne, Nov. 15, 1898. while this possibly attributes the table to Newton, MA, parallels can also be made to design elements in this table to Boston and Essex County Massachusetts. The pedestal illustrates the standard design of coastal Massachusetts. A long tapered pillar over the ringed urn baluster. Beneath the pedestal is very attractive and quite distinctive scalloping, first in the legs on either side of the pedestal and followed in the actual shaft. The cabriole legs lock into the pedestal in the typical dovetailed manner beneath an iron tri-form bracket. Originally One of a Pair Straight Marlborough Legs Item# 130002IWT18 The drop leaf dining table was a very prominent form in homes of the higher classes during the Chippendale and Federal periods. A working solution to the problem of balancing space with flexibility in a home that entertained company regularly. It allowed for tables to be posed as pier or serving tables against the wall, making the room large and inviting during a social engagement, these being brought out as needed to recreate a dining room. This table was almost certainly part of a pair originally. Two sets of bracket holes on one leaf evidence of clasps that would have attached to the leaves of the other table to create a solid surface. A pair of tables ... morevery similar in form, though crafted with solid board leaves, was offered at Christies in 2003( Lot 322. Sale 1189, sold as a pair for $13,145) Intact pairs of this form are rather uncommon as these were regularly broken up as they were passed down in families. The top is crafted of five boards butt-jointed with tongue-in-groove joinery assisting in all but one leaf. This probably a later solution to the uneven shrinking of the boards, secured from the underside with butterfly dovetails. The leaves hang over ruled joints, lifting on two swinging gate legs, the frame and knuckle crafted of solid oak double pinned to the square Marlborough leg. late 1920s viner tea coffee set and tray- this is the non bakelite handle set made prior to the 1930s- the name viner indicates it was made post 1925( when viner changed name from viener) Presentation set- each item is endorsed with the makers name and confirmed silver plate- very ornate and in beautifully preserved condition- claw feet and flame handles. The tray is 18 inches long with double fretwork one inch side tall edging finished in patterned overlay- the base is heavily pattern engraved with flowers and plumes. The coffee pot is 11 inches tall- all four pieces have matching handles. Large Vintage-Antique Ornate Embossed India Brass Table Lamp
Listed is a very unusual large table lamp. There are no identifying marks on the lamp. But to me it just looks like India. It seems to be made of brass(not attracted by magnet) It is highly embossed with flowers and vines and other decor. It stands 41" to the top of the shade hanger. It is 30" to top of brass and 13" in diameter. There is no shade included but is equipped with shade hanger. The lamp works and appears to be in good condition. The niello work is inticate and comprehensively covers the surface of the vase. The detail is fantastic and features stylised floral patterns and geometric patterns. The top of the vase has been sealed with a welded brass plate that has been fitted to receive a bayonet light bulb fixture. The lamp is wired with approx one metre of bronze cloth covered braided flex. The cable is three core and the bayonet is fully earthed. Condition: The lamp is in good used antique condition. The brass is well polished and bright. The surface has some very minor depressions only evident on very close inspection. The hardwood stand is in excellent condition and wax polished. This cart has be completely restored- great decor and very functional repurposed as a coffee table. It measures 48" long(53" to metal) by 25 1/2" wide and 15" tall. The distressed wood has lot of character which is all original. The wood was lightly sanded. Stained with Minwax"Cherry" then sealed with two coats of spar urethane. Antique Stunning Ram / Goat Head Marble Top Wood End Table 1800's or earlier
This auction is for a magnificant antique wood table with hand carved wood rams head legs and a marble top. I do not know the age of the table but it is at least 3 generations old. It has to be at least from the 1800's and maybe the 1700's or earlier. It was my Great. Great, Great Grandmothers(3 greats) and I am not sure where she got it or how old it was when she got it. It has a nice marble top. The table is in very nice condition. The heads of the rams if you look at it very closely are ever so slightly different do to them being hand carved. The marble top being old mined marble is farly smooth but has soom slight roughness in places adding character to it. The table stands 31 1/4" tall and the top is about 14" in total diameter. As far as I can see, it does not have any markings indicating who made it. On very close ... moreinspection I see that at some point it looks like one rams head had broken but was securly and beautifully re-attached. In one of the pictures I point to that. The marble slides slightly in the frame when tiped. Certainly not a problem but wanted to mention it. It is however secure. This is a beautiful table and a beautiful piece. It deserves to be displayed in a high-end estate. This will be very well packaged when shipped and insured. I wil ship it through UPS.

No manufacturing marks found. Two tone bronze patinas. Base is yellow bronze casting the upper classical urn body is a dark liver patina. I took the base apart looking for identifying larks and showed interior in photos. Light sockets work with original wiring and toggles. this is a slag lamp base from the 1920's sturdy enough to hold a very large slag glass canapy. Only one defect is minor dent in the shadows of side that I backlighted to exaggerate for you to see better. It is not noticable. Found in North Crown Heights. Brooklyn Historic district.

Rectangular top with scalloped edging with great lines to the carved legs& center crossed support. Carved notched lines add additional depth& dimension to the legs& legs. As well as the simple flower carved into the center of each side of the rectangular top. Not another quite like it currently online. Walnut I think. No breaks or repairs to the legs Some cosmetic light surface scratches to the sides of rectangular top in spots. They had it displayed with a old lace runner on the top– you never could even tell there’s a flaw on the veneer top of you use a runner! I have not altered this piece in any way– but I did use some orange oil polish on the wood to bring back a bit of the luster that was lost in a layer of dust(professional antique furniture care product used) This table needs to be tightened up a bit.
