This is a nice Rococo Sattee. This sofa has a very solid Walnut frame with beautiful carvings which perfectly represent the Rococo era. As you can see from the photos the straps which hold the springs up have come loose. The upolstery is a gold velvet pattern and does have a small hole about the size of a quarter. This is a beautiful mahogany federal period style claw-foot sofa with cornucopia carving that has everything: round pillows. Original dark ... morereddish-brown mahogany finish on the carved back, carved curved arms, acanthus carving throughout, and the base is all claw-foot with a cornucopia basket full of grapes and fruit dating from the 1860’s. The upholstery is a dark mauve or wine-colored fabric, which is in really good condition with brass accent tacks used on the border of the sofa. The fabric appears to be in good condition overall, and the wood seems to be all good, with just one cracked seam on the right-hand back. There is also a mark on the upholstery of the left arm. Take time to look at the gorgeous acanthus carving and the carved cornucopia. We also have a similar chair that came out of the same estate. The overall size is 80 inches long on the outside, 64 inches between the arms, 26 inches deep, 34 inches high to the carved crest, 34 inches to the arm, and 20 inches high to the seat. C. 1900-15 Item# 130001KKG27 This is a very fine French Louis XVI Style Antique Settee with Gilded Carved surfaces. Crafted during the first years of the 20th Century at the end of the Rococo Revival period, c. 1900-15. It is an exceptional piece in every way, the molding work on every exposed surface is simply above reproach. The crest rail is bowed with an unusual carved design at the apex, lifting in swirls and actually flowing up and over the back of the settee. This is flanked on each corner with highly detailed acorn finials over floral carvings that fall along the stiles. The arms are likewise decorated, the handholds with carved acanthus leaves, the arm supports with scaled molding over acanthus foliage at the knees. The apron of the antique french settee is a complex infiniti-motif closed on each end with swirled-rosettes at the knees. This is a very nice sofa frame. Suitable for country or formal decor, nice with an English manor house look or Americana. It's all about what you use for upholstery. Right now, as it sits, everything but the springs will need to be replaced. This is the way to buy a sofa. I bought it for the way it sits. ALL of the old camelback sofas from the middle of the 20th century- and earlier- sit like a sofa should sit. I am just fed up with hearing about it's important that a sofa be good for lying down. Folks- if a sofa is any darn good, you won't have to lie down. It should sit so that you can read the paper or read a book for extended periods without needing to lie down or see a chiropractor- or both. Really. This is a standard 7 foot sofa and will need 13 or so yards to cover it, depending on what sort of a pattern you choose. It ... moresits just great, but is worn out. Don't even think about saving any of the stuffing, foam, or whatever. Really. All of these soft goods absorb their surroundings and although I am catching no odors from this piece of furniture, it will have taken on enough of its human- and maybe pet- surrounding over the last 60 plus years that YOUR pets will tune in and that's the end of your beautiful new upholstery. Restored antique Victorian style fainting couch with matte black recycled leather upholstery and matching pillow. Oak base with castors and a matte scale recycled leather covering that is plush. Durable and comfortable secured with round head tacks. Fantastic old look. This is a very old couch(not sure of the age- but you can see the styling) and I have much more money into the restoration than what I am asking for the couch. I just don't have the room and have never used it. It needs to go to a good home. MUST SELL! The old upholstery was removed and redone- the wood frame was refinished and stained. The settee has an elegant needlepoint upholstery of 18th Century french country life and hunting vignettes. The upholstery is bordered by brass tack buttons. for auction is a very high quality pierced carved walnut sofa. it is a large one being 73 inches wide at the widest point. 43 inches tall, 16 inches to the top of the sitting surface, with a sitting surface 22 inches deep. again a very high quality, very well carved piece. the roses are wonderful as well as the grapes and other carved details. my pictures as usual are very poor quality and do not show the detail of the carvings, but they are quite well done. i am not sure of the maker, possibly belter, but there were many great cabinet makers in the 1850's to 1880's. the sofa is museum quality, near mint condition. no damages i can see or find, very solid and sturdy. it belonged to an elderly lady who was moving in with her daughter. i bought it nearly 15 years ago. she said the sofa had always been in their family, stating that it ... morebelonged to her grandparents and that it was old when she was a child. i expect it was made circa 1860 or 70. it has the original brass casters and rolls like a wagon. the elderly woman had it recovered about 5 years before i bought it, so the fabric is about 20 years old but is actually new. the fabric is perfect as far as i can tell. also, this sofa is the most comfortable antique sofa i have ever sat upon. i have never been fond of the fabric and have thought of having it recovered, but since i have 15 or 20 sofas, i really did not find it necessary to do that and i have just lived with the fabric that is on it. i hope someone sees it that likes this fabric. the wood work need cleaned and polished as i have done nothing with it since i bought it and i will be glad to do that for the new owner if they would like for me to do so. i stuck it in front of the fireplace to take pictures, but will have to move it back into a room that is just stuffed full of things anyway, a beautiful piece, but i don't need it. i paid 2500 for it when i bought it, but i am starting it at 2000. it may be picked up at my home or shpped at the buyer's expense. i expect shipping anywhere is th

This petite window bench has wonderful form. The arms scroll outward and into the seat frame, the entire frame covered in a striped upholstery, which stuffs over the frame of the seat. The sofa rests over two tapered and molded front legs, each of solid carved mahogany- the back legs are slightly backswept, tapering in a plain leg. This is a gorgeous designer piece. It is more of an oversized bergere arm chair than a true loveseat. The width ideal for lounging casually with a good book in a comfortable setting. The crest is a perfect arch, sharply angled at each corner to form the squared back- this balance of tight lines with soft flowing form was a difficult harmony to achieve, conforming to the clean form important to Neoclassical designs while still being warm and inviting. Vintage Antique 1920's Era White Wicker Chaise Lounge Sofa Couch Chic and Shabby
This is a very nice vintage white wicker chaise lounge. It is very well constructed. With springs and a bottom cushion. It had a back cushion but I washed it and it didn't make it! It is hard to measure due to the shape, but measures approximately 63" in length from the top to the bottom edge of the cushion. 38" from the floor to the top of the back, and 24" across at the foot base. Please ask for specific items to be measured and I will do my best. Some of the brackets underneath are loose and need to be tightened. There is one spot on the front bottom that needs to be repaired where some of the wicker is broke(see pic) I think a bit of glue will fix this problem. Naturally there are signs of wear for it's age. One sofa has different legs than the others. The shape, style, fabric, and nail heads are all the same as the other three pieces however the legs are a Queen Ann style instead of a Claw and Ball style like the other three. We are unsure why they do not match since they are identical sofas other than the legs. The tufting is in very good condition and are still very tight. The fabric is in overall good condition with no stains and only a few minimal raw areas on a few corners. The arm rests show very little wear in the velvet however there are a few blemishes here and there on the backs of the furniture. There are no tears in the fabric and the base cushions still have a solid shape and there is no sagging in the support. There are gentle scratches on the wood legs. The pictures were taken outside in natural light. No camera flash was used. The brilliant red you see in some pictures is natural sunlight on the furniture's fabric. The darker red tones are the same couches however in the shade. All 4 pieces are upholstered in the same fabric and are all the same tone when places in the same lighting.
