There are a few light surface scratches to the finish from general use, but it has been very well cared for, and is in amazing condition overall. I am unsure of the exact age or manufacture of the piece, but I do know that was originally contructed between 1900 and 1919. The sideboard has inverted bell shaped bun accents on the legs. The sideboard has carved accents on the front of the doors, in the center of the drop pull handles. The sideboard has gorgeous cross-cut grain with varying tones. The drawers also have the original brass drop pull handles, with medallion backplate.

Depth 23 inches across ... morefront marble. Mirror top to marble base. 26 inches. 46 inches from floor to marble base. Interior side shelves measure 17 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide. 2 side doors swing out to the side. Main body interior is 16 inches deep by 48 inches long by 30 inches tall. 2 front drawers with two side drawers. Swing out to the side as shown! Solid oak everywhere! Even the drawer linings. Draw sides and back are all oak and not an inferior wood. The interior is all oak. The doors lock but I have lost the key! Currently all the doors are unlocked! Inside at the back somebody cut a hole out. Not sure why that was done but it is there! The only newish part is an interior shelf which is in the main body. I believe it is still solid oak but it lacks the patina of the original. The glass is not damaged anywhere. The marble has exquisite shading and color. With pink, grey and purple variations. It has light scratches on the top and minor tiny chips on the edge as expected for a piece this age. It is not broken anywhere! The carvings are so wonderful with urns. Horns, ribbons, roses, tassels, swags and leaves. Both front panels have cracks on the decoration as seen in the photographs. Very reluctantly for sale! Local pick up preferred but we will work with your shipper or we can get you a quote from a company we use. Coast to coast is probably around $400 to $500 dollars. Non smoking home. This sideboard has amazing carved details on the embossed panels, and is very majestic, while being delicate and ornate at the same time. There are a few of the little decorative finial pieces that are loose. The key is intact with the piece. The piece has adjustable shelves on the top cabinet, and more shelving in the bottom section. This can be seen in the photos. The top piece by itself is 39” tall, and the bottom is 55" tall, making the piece an incredible 94" tall total.

Gorgeous Hepplewhite Federal style sideboard. A serpentine front and tapered legs create clean. Classic lines. Inlaid borders and designs contrast beautifully with the deep-colored mahogany finish. Two large drawers on the left and one in the center provide plenty of storage space in addition to the lower cabinet. False drawer fronts on the right open on brass hinges to provide storage for taller items. Brass drawer pulls and key surrounds. Unfortunately two of the pulls do not match, and were likely replaced at some point. This sturdy piece has dovetail joints in the drawers and mortise-and-tenon joints visible in the back. Overall. The sideboard is in very good condition. There is a dark area on the top as well as some light scratching and other wear consitent with age and use. There is also some wear to the feet. Offered for sale is an antique sideboard. Original grain painting which was created to look like flame mahogany or rosewood. There is gold leaf accents on the piece. Such a very unusual eclectic design points to an artistic cabinetmaker unafraid to step forward with a new creation. The design is truly a departure from the usual style of the typical English forms. Of course, one can see an earlier Regency inspiration in the design however this sideboard celebrates the function of those classical forms. And just in time before the Victorians began to combine sub-styles that were not always successful and furniture making became industrialized. The foliate carving is subtle yet bold in its restraint; just enough to give movement to ones eye. This well-loved and well-tended piece has been with us for decades; we are offering as part of downsizing for retirement. It is a visually stunning and intricate piece. But has seen use and wear which is apparent to the critical eye(see pictures for the most major flaws) This is a hand-carved two-part sideboard(gallery and base) Circa 1870. A lion-motif pediment was added to the top of the mirrored gallery. Barley-twist column supports flank a 3-section vitrine of beveled mirror and glass. The mirror and glass is original and in excellent condition. Underneath the gallery is an open area with double-turned column supports. The gallery is set upon a single base of carved oak possessing 3 rectangular drawers(the centermost is partitioned inside for holding silverware) and 3 paneled cabinet doors. Plus one long rectangular drawer along the base. ... moreThe drawers flanked by barley rope twist columns; the drawers themselves possess decorative carvings and possess their original brass bail handles with embossed heads in relief. All drawers and cabinets can be open/shut easily(pictures available upon request) Parts of the original brass fixtures have been lost from the cabinet doors and the joins between the gallery column supports and the base of the gallery have lost their original façade decoration and cracked slightly open. Maintaining the original finish requires applying lemon oil 1-2 times a year. Drawers slide smoothly provided the runners are rubbed 1-2 times a year with a bar of hard soap. The maker made this buffet by hand properly distressing and hand finishing the piece so it looks very much like a genuine antique sideboard. The top has a satinwood band and half satinwood and ebony ... morestar inlay. You will notice in a few of the pictures the top seems to have a"rippled" texture to it. The ripples run both left to right and front to back and we believe are due to the humidity change coming over from England. The piece is structurally sound and the ripples are only visible in certain lights but we wanted to disclose them as much as possible. Each panel of the cabinet features an oval flame mahogany inlay with a straight grain mahogany quartered border. The effect is quite striking. Inside the locking cabinet door is one fixed wooden shelf. This buffet sits on four spade feet. And there is some minor wear to one of the feet as shown. Overall this is a very unusual piece that is sturdy and will last for many, many years to come. It has a wide variety of possible uses in the home and could be a versatile part of your decor. Exquisite antique French Provincial style buffet or sideboard made from beautifully grained cherry wood. This piece has many hallmarks of high quality construction. Including panelled sides and dovetail joints in the three drawers. Full length door hinges and ornate metal drawer pulls accent the front opf the piece as well as a simple floral carving on the valanced skirt. Three drawers and a generously sized lower cabinet make this a practical storage piece as well. The sideboard most liekly dates from around the 1840's. Overall. This piece is in very good condition, especially considering its age. There are some noticeable scratches and wear to the top surface and a few areas with eveidence of worm damage. Here is an exquisite. Massive, Antique 19th cent. American(probably Horner) quarter sawn oak sideboard buffet server. Straight out of a Long Island estate. Was in the same family for 70 years. This piece was made around 1880 and represents carved oak at its best. Incredibly carved with lions' heads. Paws, ribbons, and scrolls. Doors are all carved scrolls with center cartouche. They are separated by 2 columns of carved ribbons and fruit. The drawers above have handles of lions' faces. The top is crowned with an incredible lion head. The only condition issues are a small ring stain and a darker area on the top front right. Also a thin slit in the wood appx 18 inch long. These are very minor and can easily be fixed. The dark areas can be bleached and the slit can be filled. They do not detract from the overall excellent condition or ... morelook of the piece. Lots of storage space. This is a beautiful piece that was inherited by my brother who is now in dire need of cash. It has the George Washington Symbol with Royal Furniture Grand Rapids Michigan on the door. Made with what I believe to be black walnut. This piece was part of a dining set that survived being past down through the family. My Aunt Elizabeth who was part owner of a furniture company in Shelbyville In. had it custom built by Royal Furniture for herself. Small amount of damage on the door as shown in picture. It is a lion head, claw foot, scroll carved, tiger sawn oak, leaded glass curio mirror back top sideboard, dating from the 1890s in completely stripped and refinished condition. We’ve repaired a back leg that was broken and totally restored it and replaced a panel on the side, and we’ve refinished it of course, and now this sideboard is all ready to go in the home right out of the shipping crate. It’s of tiger sawn oak, with a leaded glass china closet top, and I believe there are three panes with small cracks in them. They are very hard to see, but I wanted to mention them. The mirrored back is original on top, but the one underneath the gallery has been replaced due to silver issues. The columns have claw feet and lion heads, the base has a scroll applied, leaf carved front that scrolls down into a beautiful detailed claw foot with carved wings underneath. It has rolled front drawers that are all dovetailed, doors, and a large center drawer. The thing that is really unique on this is the hardware, which I’ve never seen before. Description Period Antique Georgian demi-lune mahogany sideboard in the Hepplewhite style. Fitted with central frieze drawer flanked by a pair of cupboards, raised on square tapering supports ending in spade feet. Case is line inlaid with crossbanding throughout- probably boxwood or satinwood. Note, this is a true demilune sideboard. As every square inch is fully utilized. The drawers, etc. are all constructed in an asymmetric way to accommodate full storage.
