Antique Flour Bin for Hoosier Cabinet Nice Shape Metal Never Used 10x10x8
This is an old flour sifter for a Hoosier cabinet that is 10x10x8. This came from an old Iowa estate of an antique dealer that is now in a nursing home. I don't know how old this is but a good replacement if you need one. It is made of metal with a wooden knob on the handle. It has its cover over the bottom and it slides out and the lid lifts up. I have 2 of these listed and this is the shinier of the 2. Good Luck

Jar measures 8 1/4 inches tall; 6 3/4 inches on flat side with the embossed letter"S" and 6 inches on the narrow side with embossed ribs in glass. Opening at top is 4 3/4 inches in diameter. Has original lid& 3 legged rack. Can be sit on an angle in rack for easy access to contents with scoop. No chips or cracks. Lid& rack are not dented or cracked; metal is a little discolored. There are a couple mild straw marks on the interior, done in the making. There is a slight bit of excess glass at mold seams on handle end, also done in the making. Antique Lot 1911 Hoosier Cabinet 4 Metal Knobs Door Latch Catch 100 Years Old
Hi! I have been buying a lot on Ebay and have decided to start selling as well. So while it may seem like I am a new member I have actually been around for awhile. These are just removed off of a junk hoosier cabinet base that had a porcelain top dated 1911. This is four metal mushroom shaped knobs that are around 1" across and a front door latch and catch with a knob missing off the latch, but it still works without the football shaped knob. No screws are included for any of the pieces. All of these pieces have a rusty patina and will need to be refinished if desire. It starts at $10 and will ship for free. This charming antique wooden(oak& other woods) kitchen cabinet was made in Elwood. Indiana(see brass label pic) There are 3 sections(1) Bottom cabinet is 39" wide; 30" high including the 4" legs with casters; 23" deep. 2)Top cabinet is 38" wide; 38 3/4" high; 11 1/2" deep. 3)The pull out work surface is white porcelain with light blue flecked edges; 41 1/2" wide; 25" deep; 7/8" deep. This piece is secured to the bottom section with heavy metal brackets(pics) The inset section has several little shelves, rolling pin holder& a recessed/pull out cutting board- 15 1/8" wide; 8 1/4" deep. This inset section is enclosed by a well working tampour(rolling accordian-like wooden slats closing from both sides that push back out of the way into a hidden track. There are 3 ample drawers ... morewith old metal handles, large storage section to left of drawers which has a shelf on the door. There are two storage shelves on top cabinet to hold many kitchen treasures. There are also a few extra wire& metal hooks inside including a rolling pin with black handles. This is an apparently very rare example of late 19th or early 20th century Hoosier cabinet or kitchen work station. Hoosier's became the central workstation for baking and preparing foods in the kitchen. It was the next step up from a stove and tables. I searched for hours and could not find a single photo of this piece. It seems to be too fragile for a child's toy so it may have been a salesman's sample to show to the lady of the house or in a display window at a store selling"Hoosiers" There were many traveling salesmen who would take an initial $1 down and payments of $1 per month to purchase a"Hoosier" cabinet. This early-20th Century Hoosier is a classic example of Amish craftsmanship. The rich poplar wood cabinetry adds homey warmth to any room. This type of hoosier was often used by home bakers. The enamel countertop is quite unique. In that it retracts. The baker could push back the counter to reveal the ingredients stored underneath for convenient selection. Rustic Antique Oak Medicine Cabinet-Hoosier Markings on the back
I have a rustic oak medicine cabinet for auction today. It looks like some of the shelves have been replaced. On the back of the cabinet is Hoosier several times and some other printing. What I do not know is if this is the manufacturing marks or someone made the cabinet out of material that was stamped Hoosier. Either way. If you are looking for a rustic, country cabinet to finish your remodel, or give your bathroom that one of a kind, country feel this would be a great addition to your home. The cabinet measures 18 and half inches tall, 15 inches wide and just short of 6 inches deep. There is a glass knob for a pull, it doesn't stay closed real well, but someone who is more mechanically gifted than I could probably fix it easily. I simply used a little cardboard to keep it shut. The way it is constructed is unusual. The top. Sides, bottom and work surface is wood covered with metal. The upper door and back& lower doors and the drawer fronts are metal. All of the metal is painted to make it appear to be made out of copper. One of the things I see that make it appear to be a salesman sample is the hardware. The hinges, latches& drawer pulls are just like the big cabinets except this hardware is smaller and it's all rivited on cabinet. This is an antique cabinet and it does show wear. I wuold say some little girl has played many days with it in the past. The cabinet is a two piece cabinet so it can be taken apart to ship just like the ... morebig ones. The cabinet measures 25 1/2" tall, 18 1/2" wide, and 7" deep at the top and 3 1/2" deep at the bottom. This is a set of 4 nice round milk glass pull knobs with brass metal stem bases. They're in very good vintage condition with some light surface wear and tarnish on the bases as well as old paint. I believe the bases are brass(magnet did not stick) but there is a silverish and goldish color to them.there are no nicks or chips except one small one which I didn't notice the first 2 times that I looked at it because of the white color, so not very noticeable and all the knobs come with original screws. Antique"Seller's" Oak Hoosier Cabinet. In the kitchen! This oak Hoosier cabinet is a charming must-have for collectors of vintage kitchen pieces or for those who love the look of yesteryear at home. This functional Turn of the Century antique was manufactured by Seller’s as documented by the original nameplate. This beauty stands 68” tall. 41” wide, and has a base cabinet 24” deep. A slide-out white enameled work surface measures 27” front to back(when fully extended, add 10” The attached swinging sugar jar w/lid. Flour bin w/bottom sift dispenser, and door-mounted spice rack, utensil hooks are all original to this piece. Roll-tops are a wonderful touch to the top and base. This is an antique 2 piece hoosier type kitchen cupboard. The brand is unknown. I can't find any type of tag showing the brand on the piece. It needs to be repaired and or refinished. This is a consignment item I'm listing for a friend. They wanted to fix it and painted the 4 metal parts shown in the next to last picture but are just wanting to downsize at this point.
