Moving overseas and have to part with an immaculate antique dining room table made by the Louis F. Nonnast and Sons company from Chicago. IL sometime around 1914- 1923. Made of solid Mahogany. Table still has the original manufacturers tag. Has a built in slide extension for adding in leaf sections. Comes with three leaf extensions made later due to the great depression which forced most families to burn furniture for heat during the winter months. Leafs fit great but do not match the exact grain or wood stain of the original table, however they work great with a table-cloth when you need to accomodate a larger group. Table has very minor surface scuffs on it's surface, way less than would be expected from a table this old that was actually used day to day. 1800's Antique Round Belgian Dining Room Table up for Auction!
Up for auction is an 1800's dining room table! This is everything I can tell you about it: 1. We are in the middle of a cross-country move to a tiny place that does not have a dining room so we are trying to sell our loved antique dining room table 2. It was only used a handful of times since we've owned it 3. It was purchased in approximately 2000 from Funderberg Antiques in Belvedere. IL while residing in Chicago 4. It has been covered with a table pad and tablecloth the entire time we've owned it except for the few times it was used 5. The surface does not have any visible flaws 6. The feet of the base do have a tiny bit of wear from chairs and feet rubbing on them but you have to be right up next to it in order to see the wear and the wear is not visible in the photos because it is so minor 7. When it was purchased the antique ... moredealer said it was from Belgium and was from the 1800's 8. The top surface is burled with a beveled edge 9. The apron is ornately carved with two alternating designs 10. The base is ornately carved from top to bottom with nary an inch that isn't carved 11. The top is secured to the base with a cross-shaped wood platform that each have a single screw that goes into the underside of the top 12. It is 47" in diameter 13. If you want the table pad that we've been using you can have that too although the off-white tablecloth we've been using has been slightly dirtied since we began preparations for moving so I doubt you will want that but it is also yours if you want it 14. We paid $2.000 for at the time it was purchased 15. It has been polished with Guardsman wood polish twice a year since we've owned it 16. Antique Wormy wood long Farm Dining Table
Wow! HEAVY. Solid, with some carvings and the top is burly and fabulous. This table has been in the family for decades. Sadly, as the house it lived in got sold so must the table and other items. It was originally purchased from an antique dealer in Mexico. Came from a wealthy family home there. In having someone look at the wood I could not get a definite answer of the type. We are nearly certain it is not mesquite and it could be mahogany but birch is what the grain looks like a bit. Difficult to say. The table was purchased for double the asking price here and then had to be shipped. It is in perfect condition. Any clouds on it are from the flash of the camera. The table color is the darker pictures. I've included the lighter ones in order to see the table details better. I apologize for the pictures. This is a Brickwede bros dinette set. Table 5 chairs and a buffet.It was made in Marietta OH 1840-1917. These were made from hand cut wood. They have been revarnished and original seat covers changed. The table has scratches but is not in the wood. The spring that holds one of the side folding leaf is a little week so it sags a little. That would be a easy fix.The table has claw feet. The buffet is in excellent shape. Has original handles. For being over 150 years old it's in pretty good condition.

The manufacturer is Foster Mc David. There is a stamp on the table and one of the arm chairs has a paper with the manufacturer's details. The whole set has a beautiful reddish wood tone. The dining table has 2 extensions to make it longer. The table measures 59.84 inches x 42.12 inches(without 2 extensions) It extends to 83.46 inches with the extensions. This set has 4 chairs: two arm chairs and 2 armless chairs. Seats are off white vinyl. Please note: The wicker on one of the arm chairs is torn on its back and the wicker on the back of the other arm chair is in a fragile stage(almost torn) We were told it is easily fixable.

A very fine antique. Circa 1890's- 1900's, solid quartersawn oak extension dining table. The end legs have each a cross support panel with a carved North Wind face wearing crown and acanthus scrolls. The squared end legs, and the center extension legs, are carved with scrolling leaves, as is the table skirt. Included are twelve quartersawn oak leaves to extend the table from 4" 48" wide by 5'1" 61" long to an ultimate 13'1" 157" long with the use of all twelve 8" by 4' leaves. The table is 28-1/4" tall, the skirt 23-3/4" from the floor. Excellent condition: very nicely refinished, table boards without cracks, chips, or ring spots. The table with twelve leaves, and leaves storage case, is for one price.

C. 1815-25 Item# 120001NHP01 This fine table features a wonderful well patinated dark mahogany surface under many layers of later wax. The mellow hues very attractive on the solid mahogany top. An old and dense tree was used for this table top, the whole surface shaped from two planks to span the total depth of 36 1/4" the first board is 31 1/4" wide, the second 5" The edge of the table top is reeded of the solid, completing the design of the top with clean lines that flow harmoniously with that of the legs. It is a tilting top, allowing it to be stored easily, usually in the corner of a room in a way that is visually delightful, the ... morethird leg pointing into the corner with the board facing the room. A stretched frame beneath the table forms a box of the crossbars, locking together using through-tenon joinery. Original screws lock this undisturbed frame to the underside of the table, holding the wooden dowels from the pedestal inside for a smooth rotation. Original undisturbed brass catch hardware remains functional beneath the table to lock the table in a rested position. The base of the pedestal is oak over pine, with the pedestal tenoned through both, the front with a pair of original brass receivers with what appear to be original screws. A wonderful turned pedestal of solid mahogany is designed with a short shaft over three tight turned rings over baluster turnings before flowing into sabre-legs. Each leg is capped with brass hardware, each with original screws over large original caster wheels. The legs of the table are locked in place with a Y bracket, flowing along each leg and into the center to give a high pressure joint flawless strength even 200 years after introduction. Up for is a beautiful Jacobean oak dining room table. 6 chairs, and a buffet. There are 5 chairs and 1 arm chair. The table has leaves at each end that slide out from under the top. The whole set was refinished at some point and the chairs professionally recovered. There are some small issues with the table top. there is a dark stained area and small area in a corner where the veneer delaminated prior to the refinishing. These should be able to be seen in the pics. I am not sure of the exact age but it is believed to be from the 40's or 50'sPlease feel free to ask any questions.
