Condition: Used Location: Hyde Park, United States offered for sale is a fabulous r j horner true mahogany partner's desk. it is the largest model i believe. the top is 56 inches wide. 34 inches deep, ... moreand 32 inches tall. the knee hole is a bit over 24 inches tall. on each side there are two drawers on the right and a middle drawer over the knee hole. on the left is a door on each side that opens with folder dividers placed within. one side is a mirror image of the other, there are no fake doors, drawers, etc. on this piece. it is a very clean and neat piece and in near mint condition. there are few bumps and bruises here and there, but none that are noteworthy nor do they take away from the structure, function, and beauty of the desk. the mahogany in the piece is very good and is flame mahogany with wonderful grain throughout. i hope the pictures are good enough to display the beauty of this desk. of course the desk is not for everyone, just for those who want the best. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. i can help arrange transportation if that would be beneficial to anyone. good luck. by the way, these are quite rare and hard to come by. the last one i saw sell brought 16K at an auction with a 15 per cent buyers premium, which put it up to 18,400 when the smoke cleared.

This auction is for an antique brass hotel bell. The piece stands approx. 4 and 1/2" tall; t he gong has a diameter of approx. 3" and t he base is approx. 3 and 1/4" square. The brass bell leans a bit to one side. second photo) Patent markings are on the top of the gong: PATs AUG. 25.1863& APR. 8. 56(fourth photo) The square base appears to be made of iron and is filled with a plaster-like substance. The base has been painted black with colored geometric shapes inlaid at the corners. There is wear to the edges of the base which I have shown in the photos. It does work but you must strike sharply. Up for your consideration is a beautiful antique oak writing desk. It is in the Mission or Arts and Crafts design. We have had this for y ears in our home. It is quite sturdy. The measurem e nts are 26" deep x 38" wi de x 29 3/4" tall. The front drops down and in side is a writing platform w ith an inkwell hole. Pencil rest, and cubbies in t he back for en v elopes. Etc. To the right is a drawer which actually comes completely out. The hinges have been replaced on this front piece as well as t he glass kno bs. There is an old keyhole and the lock seems to still be intact. However we do not have a key. My husband had his computer on this desk and be cause the underside of the des k is open. He was able to keep the keyboard on the pull-out platform, and the wires fit right throu gh. The wood is oak and is in beautiful condition ... morefor being old. Antique FARIES MACHINE AGE ART DECO DESK LAMP - Industrial, Steam Punk, Works!
For your consideration is this art deco machine-age industrial electric desk lamp manufactured by Faries Manufacturing Co. probably in the early 1900s to 1920s. The lamp measures approximately 12" high. The base measures 8" in diameter and the top lamp cover measures 11" in diameter. There are a few dings and other wear consistent with age and use. But otherwise the lamp is in good condition. I think the lamp may be made out of copper or brass. A magnet will not stick. It does work. The original bottom is not glued on but is included so you can glue it as you see fit. The white lines are not scratches they are marks, but I do not want to try and remove them. I will leave it up to you.

Antique Continental Marquetry Desk 18th/19th
This is a late 18 th or early 19 th century desk that has wonderful fruitwood inlay. It is European. The central theme of the inlay is fruit baskets with flowers around them. The drop front has a couple of birds on the flowers. The piece is 46” across. 45 ¼” high and 24” deep. There are 3 drawers on the inside and under the drawers are removable pieces that hide hidden compartments. There are 3 large drawers on the front. The piece has bracket feet. We have 3 keys to the piece that may be original. There are a couple of repairs to the top of the drop front which we have pictured. There is a crack on the drop front that is about 9 inches long. It is in very good condition and shows normal wear and tear for it’s age—over a decade—100 plus years. As shown in the photos. There are also some surface scratches, dings, paint speckles, and staining on the canvas catch cloth. This lovely watchmaker’s bench has nine drawers. Two deep cabinets or cupboards with doors, two drop down oak sides, and a canvas catch drawer. The roll-top piece works well, rolls easily, and engages a set of drawer locks when closed. We do not have a key. The unit measures 50” H x 43 ½” W x 26” D. Workbench height is 39” from the ground. All wood is solid oak. This bench has a tambour shaped roll-top that completely covers the work area when closed. Each side drops down by unhooking hooks to provide an even larger tabletop surface which measures 60” across. One of the cupboard enclosures was specifically designed to house watchmaking and jeweler’s tools; the other enclosed the flywheel for the treadle. Antique Asain Lacquer lap desk. Hand painted bird motif. Has side pencil drawer with 2 drawing instruments. Inside has original glass inkwell with fancy gold tone cap. One compartment has a lid. One compartment looks like it had a lid once but now is gone. The desk opens up again and has another compartment. I found an old envelope dated 1922 with a Canadian stamp fixed to it. There is also a black lacquer wooden dowel. I don't know what function that servers but maybe you do. Desk is approx. 4 1/4" tall at back and 2" tall in front x 12 1/2" wide x 10" deep. As you can see by the photos there are some chipping to the lacquer. The top lid is warped and does close The hinges are loose. The pins are coming out due to the warp in the lid. It is about 6 1/2 inches long. 4 3/4 inches deep and about 2 1/2 inches tall. It is made from black stone. And is heavy at about 1.39kg. It has a small stone section which comes out of the back. When inserted. It has what looks like a grinding area, which sits below the small hole on the top of the stone. Please note that handling time for this item is about a week after payment clears. Antique desk lamp. From bottom to top it stands 22 5/8 INCHES TALL. The base is 12 inches long. And 6 1/2 inches wide. I'm not sure of its exact age or any of its history. I purchased it at an antique store in 1996 or'97. It's in descent shape. The main problem is that three of the front hooves of the horses are broken off and missing. The shade. Which is metal, has come off and needs to be soldered back onto its spokes. As you can see in the photo, the lamp can rotate on its base, so it needs to be glued to the base again. Other than that there are the scratches and chipped paint you can see in the photos. Antique INDUSTRIAL 1930's Children's SCHOOL DESK Wood and Steel Classroom DESK
This Antique School Desk is a wonderful piece of classroom history. Measuring 20 1/2" long and 14" wide. The desk top is made of a light wood, possibly birch. It has a spot for an inkwell and a carved indentation for a pencil. The desk top is attached to a sturdy steel cubbyhole opening which measures 19 1/2" long, 9" wide, and 5" deep and was used for storing books and school supplies. The compartment is bolted to a pair of durable steel legs. Overall, this School Desk stands 28" tall. Circa 1930's. This Antique School Desk is in good condition with some scratches and surface wear from age and rambunctious classroom use. There are scratches in the wood desk top, but it's minimal considering the hundreds of children that have sat at it. This is an awesome addition to any vintage decor! Great historical ... morepiece! Antique 1950s Jielde Articulated Industrial Machine Lamp/Desk/Floor /Wall Lamp
Jielde Dark Bronze(metallic) Industrial Machine Lamp/Table/Floor.Wall Lamp. For sale is a 1950s 2 arm industrial Jielde multi angle articulated machine lamp. The aluminium elbows have been polished. The lamp is in working order and comes with 2.4 metres of new flex but not the plug as it is a French one. It is in very good used condition with some very minor signs of use to the reflector's surface. The reflector has its original high temperature painted surface and still has the bulb wattage/voltage sticker intact. The switch is in the base. I have included the lamp's weighted vehicle brake disc base in the sale. These lamps are very sort after and nice examples like this are becoming difficult to find. The photos don't do it justice! The lamp takes a Standard Bayonet cap bulb(B22) which are available at all DIY outlets. Bulb ... morenot included. The maximum wattage is 150w. Jielde lamps were designed by Jean-Louis Domecq for direct mounting on machine tools and for use in workshops. The lamps have now become particularly fashionable for use in loft style apartments and in homes generally as desk lamp/floor or wall lamps. So, hence I have fitted a trailing flexible lead to make the light more useable in the home. I have displayed this light using a vehicle brake disc which provides a solid base to show a typical method of mounting the light. Heavy sprockets. Hardwood- anything heavy will do the job. The light can also be fixed to a wall if required using its mounting base/bracket which has 3 holes in it. Although the light isn't heavy, it will require a solid wall and sturdy fixings to mount it as the movement required to adjust the lamp to the desired position will put stress on the mounting. If you do not want the brake disc included in the sale, then I will discount the postage by £10. Dimensions: Maximum extended height is 110cm( 44" The shade dia. is 16cm.
