Great patina, and very practical. It measures 39" wide x 17" deep x 52-1/2" high with the splash, 49" high to the flat top. The top overhangs a little on 3 sides. There is a latch for each drawer, but just one catch works. The other is missing the slide and white handle. I might find one to replace it. But for now it is as pictured The finish is satin in nature. Maybe j ust a wax finish? not qui te sure. I t is as it was when taken out o f a b eau tiful estate in Pennsylvania. We have owned this old Cupboard for over thirty years. And have enjoyed having it every day. No matter what corner you hang it in, the whole room will come alive(not difficult to hang) We moved it twice- first time, from our Victorian Home, and second time to a newer home. Both times, Cupboard(triangular shape) fit perfectly in the corner of the room(should fit all standard rooms) We purchased at an Estate Sale in Sewickley, PA decades ago, and I can still remember the owner(quite old) not wanting to part with it. She had fallen in love with the delicate hues of the Milk Paint, which is a pinkish-gray on the front and a different color(bluish-gray) inside the cabinet. I feel the same today. It is very hard to describe these shades of pink-blue-gray, and the photos have not quite captured it. But that is the mystery of old Milk Paint, which ... morewas also made by hand. Antique French Doll Armoire - Cupboard
An old French cupboard or armoire for your antique doll. The old pine cabinet is 13" tall to the top of the tallest part. 7 1/4" wide, and 3" deep. It features a vintage fabric panel in the door, which may have originally had a mirror or glass in that spot. Inside, there is a single shelf that is somewhat wobbly. The inside back of the cupboard and the inside of the door have some vintage wallpaper that appears to be loosely attached. The top finial is a bit wobbly, too. A charming old piece! Georgian 1790 Antique English Hanging Cupboard or Corner Cabinet. An authentic Georgian period hanging corner cabinet dates from about 1790. This beautiful cabinet was hand crafted in England of solid mahogany with delicate inlaid satinwood stringing or banding. The door panel is a single wide plank of figured mahogany. Hand chamfered or raised on the back. There is a shrinkage separation from age, see photos. Hand planing marks can be felt everywhere on this antique furniture. Hand wrought rose cut nail heads are visible on the back. A key works the wrought iron lock. A sign of quality construction, and house two removable(not adjustable) glass shelves. A light remains inside the upper section but it would need to be replaced or rewired to work in the US. The lower doors show off some eye-catching flame mahogany grain that is accented with satinwood string inlays. Inside the lower section is one removable wooden shelf. The entire vintage corner cabinet sits on sturdy bracket feet and is adorned across the top with a dentil moulded cornice. Over the years this vintage corner cabinet has sustained only minor dings here and there. There are a few around the feet and a few around the very top. I don't believe it's been touched since the thirties or forties. I was told that it was recently removed from an old home with it's original contents. Antique Primitive Painted Secretary Desk Victorian chest oak vanity cupboard bed
100 yr. Old Painted Desk We have several old antique items to sell at my folks old house that I thought would best be liquidated here on Ebay. This oak secretary or writing chest is absolutely wonderful and is so much more attractive in person than the pictures. Every authentic antique painted piece of furniture of this nature is original unique and of its own beauty and this one is no exception. Green color is rich and deeper green in person than with camera flash. The green is likely an old oil based enamel or lead paint. The top surface is glared in a couple pictures appearing a different color but it is the same green color as the rest of the cabinet. The paint is not flaking or pealing but is still very strong adhering all over. Loads of character and charm. The whole piece is solid as a brick and not rickety or wobbly. I don't see ... moreany repairs or cracks etc. Typical wear that would be indigenous to this period and stature. I took a close up of damage on interior of the door around the drop hinge arm. Drawers function well and door closes nicely. I particularly like the shaker style going narrower to the floor as seen in the side profile. The detail in curvature of the drawer fronts is unique as well. There has been no back on the cabinet for many years. I have seen hundreds of secretaries in my days but have never seen this particular style before. This little cabinet is simply divine and could be used in so many rooms of a home to suite your taste. Antique French/German Pine Hutch Local Pick UP Only I purchased this beautiful 2 piece hutch made of Pine while living in West Germany. I purchased it in West Germany on the French border area. It is supposedly from the late 1800’s. I believe it is. The base has three drawers and one shelf inside. It is the original locking device. The base measures 39” tall. 49 ½” wide and 19” deep. The top portion rests on a sold back and two spindles. There are two shelves in the top which gives you three shelves. Counting the bottom of the piece. It measures 48 ½” tall, 11 ½” deep and 44” wide. The overall height is 87 ½” It is in very good condition. There is some darkening on the surface of the base and on one of the sides. The cupboard is from England and it looks to me to be made of oak with a dark stain. The outer edges of the shelf area. As well as the two doors down below, are trimmed in a raised wood beaded trim. Inside the lower portion there is a fixed shelf for storing extra china or linens. The cupboard measures 16 3/4" tall, 12" wide at the countertop area, and 3 1/2" deep at the widest point. The two upper shelves have rails to keep plates or saucers standing upright. There are a couple of holes on the front of the top shelf that probably once held hooks for hanging jugs or cups. But one that would be best suited to individuals about two feet in height. Perhaps it was built to entertain dolls or children, but the item was culled from a collection of'salesman's samples' scale models, trotted out by traveling salespersons of a bygone era) used to demonstrate to potential customers what furnishings are available for order. Note the carefully hand-cut dovetailed and mitered joints, wide board back and other construction details true to the bench-made techniques of the era. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE MEDICAL CHIPPY ORIGINAL PAINT WALL CABINET CUPBOARD WITH GLASS DOOR ORIGINAL HARDWARE! Up for sale is this nice Primitive wall cabinet. It's got it's original paint green which was painted over with an off white/ beige color. All of which has chipped, flaked and peeled off to give it a great look with tons of character! It's chippy paint with wood showing and a wonderful patina! It is an old cabinet and has the original hardware hooks for hanging, small little round rubber or plastic black and red knob, old hinges and old metal key hole(no key) The mirror has some paint around the edges that could probably be scraped off. The mirror itself will not be able to be cleaned off. The black marks look like it come from inside the mirror leaving some permanent black spots, as if the finish of the mirror has spots on ... moreit where the mirror part isn't there at those spots. It does have it's original wood removable shelf inside. The inside does have a sweet smell or odor to it on the inside. It's not offensive or musty- sort of sweet like baby powder or something else. Not sure. Some issues. The sides of the cabinet are mortise and tenon jointed in to the top and bottom of the cabinet which are the rectangles that you can see in the pictures on the top and bottom of the cabinet. The hinges work nicely and the knob on the front is plastic or it might be rubber. There's a lock and an escutcheon on the front but there's no key for the lock. The door does have a little lever/ latch on the outside to hold it closed as you can see in the pictures. The inside has old chippy paint also. The back is made out of a piece of Masonite board or something similar. There are also two hooks to hang it from. The cabinet is a nice size and measures 14" H x 14" W x 4.75" D- a nice size! I live in Central Massachusetts. The cupboard is in nice condition with wear and dings from use and age. The brass hinges. Brass latch and castors all appear original and are from the period. The fixed interior shelf appears original but the movable one is an old replacement. The back boards have ink script on them and shrinkage from age. The paint is an old red over traces of green that is faded and I know the red has been on the cupboard for at least 50 years. The cupboard measures approximately 65” H by 21-1/4” W body by 12” D. This is a very nice antique American Server with two door to the base and two drawers above which are solid wood with dovetail joints. Both have wooden knobs. The back is solid wood the front is solid wood with flamed mahogany veneers. Either side there are turned columns and sits on bun feet. It is a four drawer apothecary cabinet with it's original wood knobs! This is an all original alligator green chippy paint cabinet! There are some old paint splashes and nicks. Cracks, crackling, paint loss, slight wood pieces missing, paint coming up, smudges, edge wear or markings on the outside of this cabinet. There is an old label stuck on back of this cabinet, a split in the wood on the bottom and paint splashes all on the back of this cabinet. Wood or paint missing on both sides and paint missing on the bottom of this little guy. It could use a good cleaning- but I will leave this to the new owner.
