It is in the medium dark oak stain. You can see a couple of stains on the top where plant pots sat at one time. The china closet shows normal nicks, dings and scratches from normal use. The overall size is 43 inches wide, 16 inches deep, 58 inches high to the case and 71 inches high to the backsplash. The mirror back is original and there is some cloudiness on the left-hand side. It comes with a key. The glass is all good. The backsplash comes off for shipping.

I have researched and ... moreresearched it have only discovered the following info. The design is called Gold Leaf Lacquer. It has beautiful motifs of white roses and birds. I believe it is what was called a"Shoe Cabinet" or a"Foyer Cabinet" and was naturally intended for storing shoes in. I can't find any artist or designer marks. I don't know if it is Chinese or Japanese but I am fairly certain it is one or the other. It hast has that wonderful Asian flair about it! It stands at approximately 30" tall. It is approximately 23-1/4" wide. It is approximately 11-1/4" deep. It looks to be modeled after some Asian Dynasty but I have no idea for sure or if it is a reproduction or an original. I can tell you that it is unique. There is a little wear with some black lacquer having been chipped off in some places and faded in a few other places. The brass footing on the legs is a little dented. Please see photos. Such a fantastic piece! Please understand that an item this large is going to have to be sent UPS and it will not be cheap. The doors have inset, raised panels with a carved, Asian, rural harvest scene. Each of these depicts a person gathering the harvest. There are also thatched roof houses and palm trees in relief. This piece can stand alone as an end table if desired. The lower unit is a little wider than the top and extends in width when the hutch is placed on top. The top hutch unit is also adorned with carved relief panels. There are 6 small panels above each window. There are 2 different scenes on the hutch that alternate with each other around the top circumference of the cabinet. Thatched houses, trees and mountains are featured on these panels. The hutch has two hexagon glass shelves with fixed placements. The windows do not have glass but the hutch is designed for glass panels to slip down and into notched glides inside the unit. The hutch has a hexagon top that screws onto the piece. The cabinet is quite beautiful. It is solid wood(no veneer) with a reddish brown stain. The relief panels are either wood on may be a Mid Century type composite.hard to tell for sure. They are in a straw or golden tan color with darkened crevices. There are no manufacturer's marks or stamps on either piece. I feel that this is not an Asian made cabinet but rather a"French Chinoiserie" style which was so popular in the Mid Century. It is a quality cabinet with gorgeous lines and interesting character. It is in very good condition and very structurally sound. Salem Massachusetts, in the manner of John Chipman(b. 1746-1819) It features solid Cuban Mahogany case, each side crafted of a single solid plank, through-dovetailed at the top and dovetailed at the bottom. The slant front lid features an original keyhole escutcheon over what appears to be the original brass lock, falling onto arms that slide out with brass knobs- one original, the left one replaced. The open writing surface is clean, with what appear to be two original brass hinges, though curious patching is noted below flaking each hinge. Above the writing surface is a collection of nine small drawers, the centermost shell carved, each with brass knobs, below which a gallery of six pigeon holes rest in perfect symmetry. The case has four graduated drawers. Each of which feature period bail pull brass hardware flanking a replaced lock with original brass keyhole escutcheon. The drawers are hand dovetailed front and back, the front dovetails hidden behind applied cockbead molding. The drawers are yellow pine secondaries, the bottom being deeply chamfered along the perimeter to rabbet into the frame. They slide easily in and out of the case over replaced drawer runners, the drawer dividers running into the sides behind a mahogany facade, effectively hiding what are probably dovetail joints. The back of the case has all original backboards, though many nails are replaced. The molded apron features a carved shell drop down medallion in the center that mirrors the design of the middle drawer. The case rests over scroll cut bracket feet, each with an incredible flowing design in the manner of John Chipman. We do not believe the desk was executed in the shop of John Chipman. In the center there are lion faces with bodies and fleur-delis and there are winged griffins underneath the shelf supports. There is fleur-de-lis carvings and dragons carved throughout both sides of the tree bark solid wood carved posts that are supported with full wing griffin lions. Underneath the full wing griffins holding up the outside pillars are maidens carved out of solid wood and below that is what appears to be a werewolf with claw feet holding up the base.

This vintage two piece. Step-back cupboard is from an old house in Chester County, Pennsylvania. I think it is pine, however I am not a wood expert. You are considering an antique primitive flat front cupboard with fantastic blue grey paint. All of the panels in the baback of this piece are chamfered. And I believe them to be walnut. It is about 45 1/2" x 16 1/4" x 76"tall. I tried to take decent pictures so you could judge its condition for yourself. Please compare pictures#3 and#4 to see great detailings, but also a problem. Picture#3 shows the good side, and picture#4 shows the side damaged by moisture. Legs have be added to the inside sho the piece stands like it should. This corner cabinet measures approximately 32 ½” wide by 65 ¼” tall and is perfect in any room to display those wonderful items you cherish. It demonstrates a very“old country store” style look and is adorned with a carved heart at the top. The back has a depth measurement of 20” The cabinet is solidly constructed with nails, and screws in original wood boards. Both latches function perfectly on a well made spring, and original screws are included. Paint is of course removable and has perhaps preserved the metal underneath nicely- I see some darkening on metal that shows, but no rust or corrosion. Each latch measures 1 1/2" long(tall) And screw holes are 1 1/8" apart(measured from mid-point of hole opening. These are getting very hard to find. I bought this beautiful 1800's primitive beaded board cupboard 20 years ago in a little bakers shop near Golden. Colorado. I often think of the many hands that have open these doors and the uses it has had. From days of pies it held, to my once little boys dinosaurs and toys, in later years we used as a pantry, it is one of my favorite pieces. I hate to let it go. It is one of those items I will always miss. But due to health reasons we are downsizing and we cannot take it with us. This corner cabinet is 57" H x 56 1/2" L on the front x 27" W on the two sides. Original finish to my knowledge it has never been painted. Great display cabinet. You must pick up we will not ship. We are 30 minutes from Hagerstown. MD and 50 minutes from Frederick, MD. This is an old wall cupboard 34 inches wide x 35 1/2 tall x 5 1/4 deep. Including frame. There are 2 doors with windows.each 16 inches wide x 30 inches tall the windows are 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches square.the long windows are 20 1/2 inches tall. There is peeling yellow paint and a layer of blue paint is visible under that. The inside of the doors are painted a terra cotta. 1800's Antique Pie Safe- Primitive Cupboard- Crude& Hand Crafted Primitive Early American hand-sawed Pie Safe. Cupboard or jelly cabinet. This Pie Safe stands about 4.25 feet Tall and 5 feet Wide and 16" Deep. It's clear to see that it was originally made in the 1800's before the use of electric circular saws. Veneers and machined nails. All the original parts are very crude, though the maker certainly built this beauty to last a long time. The entire top is one big solid piece of wood. Not boards. That's a 5 foot long and 16" wide board cut from a single tree! I'm not sure what kind of wood was used. But I think maybe Walnut or Oak. You can easily see the years of wear in the wood and exceptional patina. Even the door knobs and latches were hand-made from wood, though the screws to keep them in place have ... morebeen replaced at some point during later years. This was made to be VERY sturdy, unlike furniture made commercially. This is an awesome Early American piece and is ready to display or use as a cupboard for just about anything. This is a very heavy piece. It requires special care to move. It has only been moved twice since originally crafted at an estate near Howell. MI. I'm no furniture expert. But there are definitely signs that there were repairs and/or upgrades made to this piece in later years without distracting too much from the original handiwork. And the glass is not original to this piece, though two of the glass panes appear to be earlier 1900's. This piece was likely originally crafted for storing food safely away from bugs and cooling fresh baked goods, with tin sheets(in place of the glass) with designs created by a series of hand-punched holes. Antique Hanging Corner Cupboard Cabinet Blue Paint Mirror Primitive SE PA to start a new paragraph use- This is a charming old"make do" fancy piece out of Southeastern Pennsylvania. It's a heavy piece and the frame looks to be constructed out of second hand hard wood crating boards; the boards are 3/4" thick. There is old paint on it. Looks to be several coats of paint on the front from over the years, none of them new. There is plaster molding trim framing the outside edges of the front and framing the door opening. That's what makes it a"fancy" make do piece) This piece is solid and sturdy. There is light chipping of the paint on the front exposing some of the plaster in the molding. And overall age to the painted surface, the door closes easily but there is a slight gap at the top, there are also some gaps ... morein the boards. The mirror is old and has some losses on the back, but all are small and it's perfect with this piece. The mirrored glass is beveled on one side only opposite the door handle and was probably taken from an old mirror. I'd never replace it. Fancy metal pull that was also painted over at some point. These type pieces are getting very hard to find and this came up in a small shop here in PA. It's a one of a kind. This is not a typical offering from us, but I just couldn't resist it. And it's been confirmed as fabulous from all the"ooooh and ahhhh" comments since I brought it home, even from members of my household who arent' into antiques so much. The unboxed weight is about 22lbs(shipping weight about 27lbs) Measures Approximately 27 inches tall, the front is 16 inches across, the two back side boards are 12 inches across forming a"V" in the back, the cabinet is 10 inches deep at the widest point from the center of the"v" to the front, with one small shelf inside. The bottom is flush, and this will stand on the floor as shown or could be displayed on top of a table or other piece you may have to complement it.
