Simple molding on top and straight sides that curve at the bottom elevating it so that if you should choose to set it on the floor would serve as legs and hung on the wall in a corner they would display the simple architectural lines of the cupboard. Top and back are unpainted wood that tells the age of this sweet piece. Exterior is painted old reddish color with a turquoise interior and underside. There appears to b white paint under th e interior paint. Paint was done a long time ago. Not original to the period. There is a hole at each level on either side. And one in the center back for hanging purposes. These holes appear to be original. At one time there possibly was a door that covered this cupboard ... morebut was likely removed to use to display items. The latch is tin that has a copper wash coating. It is new old stock and has not been used. I cleaned the latch and washed it with water so it is ready to use for many years to come. I put a drop of oil inside so it works well and has a nice strong spring. This is a vintage Pair of antique finger grip or pull Cupboard or cabinet latches or locks. Both are the same style and shape. The latches are cast iron with a bronze or brass plating on the edges. finger pulls work fine. When pulled they both go back in place. Very nice condition. The latches or locks is 1/2" and about 1/2" thick. The latch measures 2 1/4" wide and is 1 1/4" not counting finger pull with finger pull 2 1/8" x 1/2" thick. Antique Spice Apothecary Cabinet Cupboard RARE Tramp Art AAFA
This is a RARE spice or apothecary cabinet because it has handmade decorative'trim' pieces on the front- which is why I called it'tramp art' It has four larger(than a regular spice cabinet) drawers with the ORIGINAL porcelain knobs. Two of the drawers have a wooden separation down the center. It measures 8 inches in width. 6.75 inches in depth and 18 inches in height(to the top of the back) The color is a dark maple color. I think it is a maple wood, in fact the inside of the drawers made me wonder if it was a type of tiger maple, but I didn't see evidence of that on the outside. There is"age" to this piece and that is why the wood has darkened over the years(my guess as to the age is late 1800s) The drawers are nailed together with tiny nails. This piece certainly has a'sense of presence' There is one ... morepiece of the decorative carved'trim' missing on the bottom; however. This does not detract from this piece in any way. Original old small oak wall cabinet(or. Very tiny cupboard) measuring 16-1/2" wide, 20" tall and about 6-1/4" deep. It looks very good over-all, is tight and strong, hinges are good and tight, has original porcelain pull, it has a few"extra" holes bored at the back but nothing significant. Looks like it may originally have had a keyed lock- the inside brass portion of the lock is still intact. The doors close nicely and notice the very sweet brass latch(it still works! on the left-inside door(photo. The last photo shows one side of the back with its small brass hanger which matches the opposite side for ease in slipping over screw heads.

Antique Step Back Bookcase Cupboard 2 Drawers Dbl Casters 19th Century Two Doors
Hi. This wonderful bookcase needs just a little TLC to be an exceptional piece. The dark wood is gorgeous. My best guess is that is is probably a Civil War era piece or possibly earlier. The left door has a vertical latch on the bottom and the right door has a lock mechanism. I replaced the bottom left pane of glass with the existing nails and woodwork intact. Two supports for the fully adjustable shelves have been fashioned out of plywood and do not match the existing supports. One drawer handle is a little loose. The dovetails are hand cut. Not made by machine. The panels in the back could use some work. I did not snug the crown all the way down so the dowels will come out easily when sold, so I can't comment on how tight it is in the rear. The top panes of glass are the original wavy glass. Both bottom panes have been replaced. The ... moredimensions are 87 1/4 x 52 and 19 1/2 inches.deep.This is a beautiful looking piece of furniture. Don't miss out. This is complete and very old! Antique 2pc 1850-65 Stepback Cupboard w. Dovetailed Case
Here's a great country step back cupboard. An early version with a dovetailed case and spoon notches that displays wonderfully with the doors open. It's missing a few latches but they've been replaced with turn buttons on the bottom. Notice how the top sits specifically in the notches on the base. It has a high pie shelf, dovetailed drawers that operate smoothly, and an old refinish. The style is clearly mid-1800's and likely midwest or eastern US. Nothing to do but put it in your house and load it with your stuff. Measures 79" high. 51" wide, 19"deep. Pickup here or freight. Antique French Miniature Inlaid Corner Cupboard 29" Tall A Treasure!!
There is no reserve on this charming antique miniature corner cupboard. We are pleased to present this miniature French cupboard for your consideration. It is circa 1850 and is a pure pleasure to look at. The top has scalloped sides and 2 gently curved shelves. On the bottom we have two doors that echo the scallops from above. There is a wood inlay on all four panels across the bottom showing a diamond pattern with a starburst center. It still has the original lock. Key and escutcheons as well as the original hook on the inside that holds the left door closed. The sides end in little French feet. The left door seems to be stuck shut and we do not want to force it open. This is an absolutely charming piece of small furniture measuring only 28 ¾” tall and 14 ¾” across the front. You are bidding on a wonderful. Primitive, antique, 19th century/1800's, pine, wood/wooden, hanging cupboard/cabinet that measures 11 1/4" x 20" x 7 1/4" deep. As seen, it has a hinged, front door, 4, interior shelves, and a leather strap for hanging; the top shows some dovetailing on the left side, and one, metal, hanging eye remains on the top. This piece remains in excellent condition, showing wonderful wear; all joints are sturdy, and it weighs in at almost 10 1/2 pounds. As always, this auction has a low, starting bid. Antique Wall Cupboard / Dovetailed Box in Original Dark Red Paint Finish w/ key
This is a very interesting.item.It looks like is was an antique chest. It has the original chest lock and dovetailed corners but at some later time was converted into a wall cupboard. not sure What type of chest or box this was used for. It's too big to be a writing or document box and doesn't seem deep enough to be used as a storage chest.When you look at the key hole it is obvious that this was originally constructed to sit on it's side and the keyhole is in the front side.Years later. Someone turned it, added metal hangers in the back along with a small brass knob in the front and 3 shelves and made it into a wall cupboard. It has an original antique painted finish that is dark red and has a very nice patina and antique look. There is an Eastlake style drawer pull that had been placed on the side and over the keyhole. Turning the item back into a box only requires removing the drawer pull and putting an escutcheon over the keyhole then removing the 3 inside shelves the hangers and small knob. A lovely antique find this miniature wooden cupboard makes a wonderful child's toy or is perfect piece for your country home. The wood has beautiful rich deep walnut tones. The handles on the drawer appear to be metal with nice patina, there are wood knobs on the lower cabinet doors. The mirror is old with usual flaws found in old mirror glass, with spots of wear see closeups. There are two turned columns on both sides on the mirror. The top of the cabinet has a scalloped edge. Condition is nice antique quality the doors have a bit of a gap between them, as the piece is old and has settled about 1/4" see all pictures.
