LOT of 6 Antique Wood Knob Handles Drawer Cupboard Painted Weathered Primitive
These handles or knobs are really incredible. I love antique hardware and have not seen any like these. The knobs themselves are wood. They are worked into a rectangular shape with rounded edges. Then they have round concentric molding with a raised nub in the center. As you can see there is a lot of work on them when you look at their profile view. The threading is drilled out into the back of each one. So that is screw can be placed into the back of the knob. Five of them have a metal ring, on one of them the ring is missing but the threading is there. These have certainly been made by hand. They have also been painted to look weathered. Part is dark brown. And there is also a bronze and gold like painted patina. The overall look is like an antique metallic, but they are lightweight like wood. I got them off of a piece of furniture from ... morean estate sale, but they look very primitive and almost country barn like in appearance. They measure 2 inches wide by 2 inches tall and they have a depth of approximately 1 inch. I have 6 of them of which four still have the original screws. I accept PayPal and ship to the USA

It's a 2 drawer and holds 4" x 6" index cards. It has brass rails that run through the drawers to hold the cards and all of the hardware is still there! When you turn the knob on the front. The rail expands of contracts depending on how you turn it. This is a very nice feature if you use these in that way. We think this little guy is old as the latest patent listed on the inside is 1899! Most other ones we've seen are usually dated around the 1920's or 30's but not this one! It's tiger oak and it's in good shape. The color is good and the wood has been well cared for. The top has some water marks and one or two dark spots as you can see in the ... morepicture but don't let that detract you from the beauty. The front drawers are near perfect and have the brass label holders. The knobs for the rails and the little brass maker's plate. The maker's plate is not legible any more. It measures: 15.25" W x 12.5" D x 6.5" H. The drawers are straight mortised(not dovetail mortised) and measure 6" W x 4" H x 11" D. There is a small gap on each side where the top and sides come together. This could likely be glued and clamped but we didn't mess with it. We like original items and this one is all original. It's got great color and the beauty of something made over 100 years ago! Wow! Stunning. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE APOTHECARY WOOD CABINET CUPBOARD FILING BOX CHEST TRUNK BOX* Up for sale is this awesome wood three drawer plus top drawer apothecary filing cabinet cupboard. On the outside of this cabinet is red paint with white porcelain knobs. The top drawer measures 18" wide x 9 1/2" deep x 2 3/4" high. Also in the top cabinet you can see there is an old lock inside the drawer and then outside you can see where the key would have gone- it has been painted over. We do not have the key. The three bottom drawers measure 9 1/2" deep x 16 3/4" wide x 1 1/2" high. Total cabinet measures 19 3/4" wide x 11" deep(not counting the knobs) x 12 1/4" high. It weighs 14 lbs. On the front of the bottom drawer there are two holes- they do go through to the other side. I'm not sure what this was for- ... moremost likely a name plate of some sort or maybe an old handle. In all three of the drawers inside- in the back of the drawer there are holes that go all the way through. The hole is also inside the top drawer under the lid. This was likely to lock the drawers. The person would have a rod(not included) that would slide down from the top and lock each drawer in place. Then. By locking the lid with the key(not included) the entire cabinet could be locked up safe! It may have been for a shop owner or perhaps for someone who kept valuables in their home and didn't want any sticky fingers walking off with their goods! Once the cabinet was all locked up, it was easy to carry without losing the drawers by grabbing ahold of the nice brass handles on each side. This is a great size cabinet that could be used for many things! There are some paint spills on a couple of places. Chips, scratches, and holes but it does not take away from the beauty of this cabinet. Great for many uses! The red paint appears to be old but don't think it is original to the piece. Great piece! ANTIQUE/VINTAGE SHABBY CHIC PINE/MAHOGANY FARMHOUSE RUSTIC INDUSTRIAL CUPBOARD This auction is for a wonderfully characterful. Antique/ vintage, shabby chic, pine and mahogany table top cupboard. It is a traditionally constructed cupboard with two doors to the front, each with an antique china handle and a stout brass hinge to the side. It has what I'm sure is mahogany doors and sides, pine on the top, a plywood base and is rot and worm free. It has had a busy life by the look of it and has many scars. Dinks, nicks and so on and was once painted white and then green, much evidence of both being clearly visible. There are no catches or stays to the doors, which open and close with ease and stay closed on their own when required, and the right hand handle has a crack on it, but it seems sound and still works very well. Internally it is ... moreplain with residue paint splodges. Scars etc, and the whole thing has been finished with an antique wax. Circa 1680, believed to be from the Westmorland area of the Lake District(northern counties) This type of cupboard was typically used for storing kitchen utensils and food. The detachable top consists of a recessed carved floral lunette freeze and two turned pillars, which surround three further floral lunette panels with moulded edges, two of which are working doors. These two doors feature a working lock and key. The base cupboards have feature similar carved floral lunettes to the top section and below; there are two inset moulded door panels. The base cupboard doors also feature a working lock& key and a later brass knob. Inside, the lower cupboard is a fixed height shelf. The cupboard frame and doors have been constructed in the original pegged construction method and feature a reeded frame to the carcass and feet. Antique French Carved Oak Brittany Bookcase Cabinet Cupboard 19th Cent
We are proud to offer a beautiful original French antique cabinet. Circa early to mid 1800s. Gorgeous and intricate carving. Original wavy glass. This is an imposing and substantial piece. It is in a top and bottom section. The bottom is 39 inches tall and 35 inches wide and 20 inches deep. The top shelves are 48 inches tall and 43 inches at the widest point(including molding) and 12 inches deep. Overall. It is 87 inches(7 feet, 3 inches) tall and 35 inches wide and 20 inches deep at its extremities. Condition is very good for a piece nearly 200 years old. In certain places you can still see the square-headed nails used in its construction. Of note: The bottom door is stable but can benefit from a re-hinging. There appears to have been a recent(in the last 20-30 years) attempt to re-hinge. Causing a chip in the wood. This can be readily repaired ... moreand we do have the missing chip that can be re-glued. There very top board(above the shelves) is missing. This is not evident unless you open the case and look inside and can be very easily remedied with a painted board. Two small strips of decorative molding at the base are missing(one is lost. The second has fallen off and can be re-applied) Again, given the small size and dark color, not something that is readily evident. The lock is a bit stubborn and might use some oiling. Very nice solid antique medicine cabinet. The mirror has some scratches and scuff marks. As well as some light distressing. The mirror glass is old and wavy. It has a glass knob and ball finial hinges. The chippy old paint is grey in color but if it were to be scrubbed I believe it would turn white. The cardboard backing the mirror is rippled and buckled. The back of the cabinet is made of beadboard, it is cracked, split, and has a few small holes in it. Overall it is in fair but salvaged condition. The wood has not been oiled. could use a bit of scratch cover which I'll leave up to the buyer.as some people prefer the look of an aged patina with a few nicks and scuffs. The outside of door has a yellow toned label with a list of spices that compliment different foods. The inside of the door has more of the same!

LOT OF ANTIQUE CABINET CUPBOARD HUTCH DOOR LATCHES VINTAGE FURNITURE HARDWARE
Nice lot of antique cabinet door latches from many years ago. There are different styles and types in the lot. Many of these have ceramic knobs. 5 of the ceramic knobs ones have cast metal bases(one is dated 1871) the other 5 have brass plate bases. The ceramic knob ones average about 2 inches in length. Also included are other old latchs and latch housings and odd catches that I thought someone might be able to use. They are located at the bottom of the first picture and generally do not match the ceramic latches. These are neat old latches. I do not run across the ones with ceramic knobs often. Definitely antique. We would date this delightful piece to c1880. The cupboard or sideboard base is of pale. Golden oak construction and has many renaissance features. It has two curved-front drawers above two panelled doors with ... moreelaborate carving. The doors open to reveal a large storage area, with a central fixed shelf. The doors of the cabinet are flanked by turned columns, surmounted by lion's heads. I imagine there would originally have been large metal loops in the lions' mouths, easily replaced if desired. The cupboard retains it's original handles and locks, and stands on squat bun feet. The cupboard measures 120cm wide. 55.5cm deep and 105cm high. It has many practical purposes, but wouldst certainly be ideal in size and height as a television cabinet or stand. The piece is in lovely vintage condition. With some chipping to the turned sections on the columns and separation of timbers on the top surface being the only real condition issues to mention. Though condition is very good, as with all antique and vintage furniture, age-appropriate wear and character marks should be expected.
