There is fleur-de-lis carvings and dragons carved throughout both sides of the tree bark solid wood carved posts that are supported with full wing griffin lions. Underneath the full wing griffins holding up the outside pillars are maidens carved out of solid wood and below that is what appears to be a werewolf with claw feet holding up the base.

The top has two large doors with 20 individual panes of glass which are individually glazed and create with the unusual framing a very interesting pattern. Some of the of the panes have been replaced. However, there are more old glass panels than new. A few parts of the framing around glass have also been replaced/repaired. The doors will lock with the original lockset and key. The base has two hand dovetailed and very roomy drawers.and the secondary wood is pine. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, quartersawn oak china cabinet in the original dark brown finish. The front door and glass are slightly bowed, the cornice above the door with a carved panel of acanthus scrolls with boss shield at center. Two snarling carved griffins are atop the curved pillars either side of the door. The two front legs are with carved claw feet. The back panel is quartersawn veneered, the original four stationary removable double plate grooved shelves in quartersawn oak. The cabinet measures 5'8" 68" tall by 4' 48" wide by 17" deep, the shelves 13-1/2" deep at center. Excellent codition: oak without chips or cracks, unworn original finish. Includes the handle and lock, no key. All glass is original and undamaged, the interior plain mirror is without spotting or cloudiness.

The front door has two glass panels, it opening to a top compartment, and the cabinet with four original stationary plain grain removable shelves. The door retains the brass handle, keyhole, and lock, no key. The four glass panels, and the two top wing beveled mirrors, are original and without damage. The cabinet is very nicely refinished to a yellow amber. It measures 6' 72" tall by 4'4" 52" wide by 1'4" 16" deep, the plate double grooved shelves 14-1/2" deep. Excellent condition: boards without cracks or chips, carvings complete. All glass is without damage, no backing spots or cloudiness to mirrors.

The actual date of the furniture is believed to be 1920's- 1930's. The current owners state that this was originally purchased from a very rich family in Cincinnati. OH. The table is 30" high. 34" wide, and 58" long without the leaves extended. The glass fronted china cabinet is 57-1/2' high. 37" wide, and 15" deep. The set was manufactured by the Grand Rapids Chair company of Grand Rapids. Michigan. That company was founded in 1872 and primarily produced chairs until 1880. After that date they then began to produced complete sets and"ash" was their popular wood with carved panels and heavier moldings. It is surmounted by a broken pediment with a central urn finial. A generous drawer allows for storage of table lines or whatever you desire. Gorgeous Antique Chinoiserie Black Breakfront/China Cabinet
This is an amazing piece. A dark mahogony wood but basically black with carvings and inlay. There are four doors(two in front and two on each side) and a drawer. The piece that is laying on top(held upright in a couple pics) actually attaches to the top of the piece. Just screws right in. The top piece is mirrored and has a shelf with beautiful floral details. The red inside is a felt lining. The shelf inside the front is a glass shelf. The blue tape was just for moving purposes.
