MODEL. YEAR, FEATURES: The Crosley Model 66TC is an attractive wood cabinet AM/SW tube radio from 1946 with beautiful wrap-around grill bars. Elegantly designed square dial scale is highlighted in gold. And has a large pointer that selects AM and Shortwave stations(Crosley named the bands American and Overseas) With the right adapters, this radio also has the ability to amplify an old phonograph at the rear terminals. This is a 4 knob set with typical volume/ On/Off, station tuning knob, as well as a tone control and a 3 position switch for changing bands or switching to Phono. Radio has a rich tone adjustable sound with good depth of bass from its speaker, driven by a 6V6 tube. Radio receives regular Broadcast AM stations as well as Shortwave from 5.8 to 15 MHz. The set has been recently serviced and will play faithfully. CONDITION. SERVICING, ... morePERFORMANCE: Cabinet finish is original and in excellent undamaged uniform condition if you can forgive a very minor chip out of the veneer on the back of the top panel well out of normal viewing. Shown in one photo. No scratches, dents, stains, or other damage to the cabinet, and all panels are tight and well fastened. Grill cloth was replaced some years ago, and has no rips or other damage, radio is in fine displayable shape. Original knobs are shiny, and the dial scale is well lighted with two pilot lights(see photo in dimly lit room) having flawless clear graphics and numerals, and a clear dial cover. Electronics have been gone through, and many checks were done of components, alignment, solder joints, etc. Power cord is safe and pliable. The old wax/ foil capacitors were replaced along with the high voltage filters, some resistors, and crumbling wires were replaced as well. Tuning and dial mechanism were serviced, and the pointer rotates around the scale smoothly without binding or slipping. Interior and chassis have no dust build-up or odors. Starting yesterday and ending today all I will be listing are keys. Yesterday were the Victrola Keys and today are the mixed lots. All will have BIN's and if you win more then 1 auction you can save BIG on combined shipping! So up 2nd for today are a mixed lot of about 22 antique and vintage Skeleton Keys. The first picture shows you the entire lot and the remaining pics are close-ups. Most of the keys here are the hollow barrel variety but there are 3 keys here with solid barrels and they are also rather interesting. One of them is a Keen Kutter. Another is thick and brass or bronze, while the 3rd has a very unusual end as seen close-up in the last picture. The keys range in size from about 13/16" up to 3 9/16" long for the Keen Kutter. 17 of the keys are magnetic and 5 are not. We have purchased a big lot of very unique estate Antique Photos- Photographs and Real Photo Postcards- RPPC. We are going to be listing them on eBay, please make sure to visit us often for new additions. In this auction we are offering a fabulous antique real studio photo of a child and his toy horse. Depicts a cute little boy is dressed in his Knickerbocker suit and wears a beanie hat. Sitting on his toy horse. Boys between the age of three and seven had their sartorial problems solved during the 1860s by the Knickerbocker suit. Probably first developed in America, consisting of full knickerbockers, closed under the knee and a short collarless jacket fastening at the neck only(resembling the women's zouave jacket) over a white frilled shirt. In the 1870s the Knickerbocker suit was worn until the age of ten or so, with a waistcoat and ... morejacket in serge, cloth, melton or washable materials such as drill, the edges braided. The knickerbockers, were narrower by the 1880s, and by the end of the century they might hang loose like trousers cut off below the knee. The photo has some silver shining on all dark places such as the boy clothing. Horsehair etc. due to the photo development procedure in the old days. Photographer J.M. Baum Middletown. Penna. Date: Late 1800’s. Measurement: Approx. overall 7” x 5 ½” Condition: Very good condition. Photo is clear and clean. Marks, dings, finish loss, a crack here or there, and the one side does have a black substance(looks to be old glue from some type of label) on it, as seen in the picture. It has a lift-up tin door on the front for record and other storage. The wood and tin top lid lifts to show the felt covered turntable, on and off switch and sound reproducer. Mahogany, glazed slide cabinet is the finest I have handled in over 15 years selling antique microscopes and slides. There are 20 drawers, nineteen of which can comfortably hold 48 3" x1" slides. The bottom drawer, No20, is slightly deeper and is not divided, but could comfortably hold another 48 slides. Please note: SLIDES NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE Condition Report There are various minor issues with this cabinet. Commensurate with it's age and other contemporary examples I have handled: The drawers are all free sliding. With one being a bit stubborn. Some of the original knobs are a little chewed at the edges. With one having a little more than half of the ... moreoriginal pull remaining. All of the drawer bases are pine wood and of sound construction. But each one has a horizontal crack across the width due to shrinkage(see image for a typical example) I would suggest that lining the compartments with paper would be the best way to display slides. The key is missing. So one door springs out a little(perhaps 1cm) from the closed position. This could be remedied by the fitting of a new lock, or perhaps sourcing a key for the existing one(note that the female part of the lock(not present) would also need fitting) The thin moulding strip running down the middle of the two doors has had about 2 inches of restoration at the bottom end. There are two vertical cracks to the thin panel of wood on the back of the cabinet(ie. the side that would face the wall) Patina is very appealing. Along with typical marks and dings, none of which distract from the impressive appearance. All in all. The exercise of patiently filling this magnificent cabinet with suitably fine nineteenth-century mounts would be a very satisfying endeavour. ANTIQUE Chippendale Style UNUSUAL MUSIC CURIO CABINET/ 2 Glass Doors/ 13 Shelves Gorgeous Classic Cabinet Up for auction is an ANTIQUE Chippendale Style UNUSUAL MUSIC CURIO CABINET/2 Glass Doors/13 Shelves. Size is 35" wide by 53" height by 15" depth. Two glass front doors with beautiful wood fretwork on fronts. The fretwork can be removed if you prefer a plain cabinet. But it would mean removing the glass and interior molding that holds it, in order to reach the fretwork. Left inside door has a latch at the top to secure it. There is a keyhole in the right door but I do not have a key. I have used this as a curio cabinet, with thee three shelves as shown, but it INCLUDES 13 SHELVES total. I believe this was probably a music/periodicals cabinet, but it can also be used as a bookcase or curio cabinet with less shelves. Shelves ... morehave unusual metal guides on sides(removable) to attach them, and shelves slide in. There are only 6 shelf guides included(enough for three shelves, shown) but I have misplaced the rest in a move(are somewhere in my home) If I come across them I will send them to you, but otherwise if they are not located, I am sure you can find some sort of shelf brackets if you want to use 13 shelves. The front of the cabinet has two Chippendale shaped legs(pretty! Color is deep mahogany, although I am not sure if this is made of mahogany, walnut or other wood etc. I do not know the age but this appears to be old/antique. Condition is good, sturdy and clean, no odors. Ready to go into your home. See photos for details. I am not sure if this is the original finish but I think it may have been restored. This came from England and has a metal plate on the front that says“This cabinet and its contents is the property of The Office Clean Towel Hire Co. Ltd. and is on loan to the user as custodian bailee. The oak cabinet is approx. 22 3/8” x 16” x 5 ¾” It has three shelves. The top section I used to hold Kleenex tissues. I especially like the door with the Red Cross symbol. It has Initial Office of First Aid Outfit painted on it. There are ventilation holes at the top and bottom of the cabinet. Some of the silver is lightly worn on the mirror which gives it that vintage charm I so love. The original finish is in excellent ... morevintage aged condition. There is a split in one section of the wooden towel bar which is not usual for it vintage age and usage. It can be hung with the two round hooks at the top. It is very heavy so use wall anchors with your screws to safely secure it to the wall. The wood backing on the inside that covers the mirror has a couple of gouges in the wood. You could remove the backing and replace the mirror with glass if you wanted to use it as a display case. I purchased this charming antique medicine cabinet from an antique store in 1983. I haven’t seen another one like this one since. I filled it with vintage toiletries and hung it in my powder room. Everyone always complimented me on this beautiful piece. I have recently remodeled.
