Great Find!! Antique Cabinet Removed From 1875 Mansion
Wonderful antique oak cupboard removed from an 1875 mansion. The first two pictures were taken before it was removed. The first picture is looking up as it was placed on another base piece. The base piece did not match and was in bad condition. The second picture shows a mirror in the middle behind the junk-to the sides of the mirror you will see were the side pieces we kept those intact but they do not belong there. The mirror broke-if you want you can strip the green painted side pieces install a mirror and hang like that. The men that removed and carried this item said it weighs about 300 pounds.Love the original wavy glass in the two doors. It is pictured in my messy garage. Sorry. You can see the oak planks on the side and back. Beadboard inside, someone had stripped the green paint almost all of the way off of it. Has original hinges-door ... morelock-shuts and locks very nicely.A previous owner had put some cup hooks under the top shelf, and cafe rods inside of it. Three shelves plus bottom area.I am not sure of the exact age so I have put 1900-1950 but was told it was original to the 1875 house. Antique Rare Apartment Electric Sewing Machine with Cabinet
You are bidding on a rare vintage Apartment Electric sewing machine with cabinet. T he"Apartment" machine was manufactured by the Free Sewing Machine Company in Rockford. Illinois. Free sewing machines were made by Will C. Free. In fact many of the machines bear that name. At some point he teamed up with Westinghouse to make the motors and were sold as Free-Westinghouse. They made a lot of branded machines including Apartments. The company moved to Los Angeles some time in the 50's and subsequently closed up shop. They did have an enormous factory in Rockford. This appears to be a crank machine that was converted to electric(see pic) It has a long bobbin and shuttle. The machine has the serial number TS254554 on it. It is in very good condition. For your man cave-Made by Man Electric Supply Co in New York and Chicago. Oak wood with the original finish. Measures about 10 1/2" tall and about 5 1/4" wide. Model 1481 C according to tag on front. 1618? hard to read printed on back. This was probably made for a hotel or apartment as there is no dialing mechanism. The earphone says 26 ohm and that is what it is-checked it with my ohmmeter. So it is good. Has exposed terminals, so is pretty old. Don't know about the inside electronics so sold as is, looks to be complete. As shown in picture there is a chip in the bakelite speaker bell. Sold as is, sold in USA only.

English Chippendale Broken Arch Hanging Corner Cabinet or Cupboard Blind Doors. Late 18th Century c. 1780-1800 Item# 130001GHP27 This is a very fine solid mahogany English Chippendale Hanging Antique Corner Cabinet or Cupboard with a Broken-Arch Pediment. Crafted during the last quarter of the 18th Century c. 1780-1800. Of outstanding construction. It features thick planed and carved crown molding along the Broken-Arch, raising the visual plane of the cabinet quite intensely to culminate in a turned finial over a plinth scroll cut of the solid. The sides of the case bevel to soften the edge before joining the wall, these flanking two blind doors. The doors are constructed using a through-tenon mortised frame locking in the inset chamfered panels. Each with shapely notched crests and edged by cockbead molding, both functioning smoothly on ... moreoriginal brass hinges. Inside of the doors, the original hardware remains untouched, the hand forged iron latch on the left door locking the panel in place, the original steel lock on the right door still in place. The interior is four shelves, all but the second-to-top shelf backed by a silk upholstery. The back of the case is entirely dovetail construction. The quarter-sawn oak secondary woods locking into the top and bottom boards without the use of nails or screws. Over the years, this has placed some strain on the back-most corners, as the oak is not thick enough to create an indestructible joint, resulting in some light cracking and looseness where the two boards come together. The cabinet is meant to be mounted using multiple screws through the backboards, coupled with the original hanging tabs at the top of the cabinet on both sides. Hello all. Welcome. ITEM DESCRIPTION: Custom. One of a kind, hand made Chinese Red Lacquer prayer shrine cabinet. Hand built with hand carved accents of dragons. Can be used on a table or hung“properly” by the hooks attached to cabinet. Bottom tray that extends to display additional items. The carved dragon header piece is hinged and can lower down. A red light bulb and a multi-outlet adapter box to plug in any accessories such as a table fountain was added later. I believe that it was wired for China since the thin metal plug tongs do not fit snug in a US outlet but you can buy the adapter or re-wire it. I think that 2 of the plugs on the multi-outlet are US. But not grounded since this is old, so it does not fit the current standard large end grounded plug, although you can buy those adapters for just a $1 or so. ITEM CONDITION: Excellent ... morestructural condition. No cracks or major defects. A couple of minor dings and scuffs. Minor dust. Smudges, and a little tape residue which seem to be able to clean of with proper care. I just wiped of the dust for photos and avoided any chemicals or moisture. ITEM APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS: 16” deep X 18” wide X 26 1/2” high. The tray extended makes the depth 26 1/2” The hinged carved header piece lowered drops it to about 24” high. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: If you've read the additional comments of some of my other items you may already know 2013 will have many really nice items coming from a traveling world collector that I'll be helping liquidate his boxed up items. This was one of two shrines I bought from him with the other being 6 feet tall. The story behind these are that they were built in China at the early part of the 20 th Century for a textile business to have in their office were they paid their respects and lit incense. That textile business moved to San Francisco California in the late 50's or early 60's and the shrines moved with them. The collector was friends with the owner of the company and so he commandeered them when the business closed and the ow

Large 19th Century Antique Oriental Asian Carved Gilt Wood Display Cabinet
Description This is an unusually large and wonderful carved gilt wood oriental display cabinet. The top is open and there is one door. There are glass panels on each side. However 2 pieces of glass are missing. The door appears to be locked. The patina is lovely with correct wear. The cabinet is 59 inches tall from the carved dragon heads on each corner top to the bottom of each leg. Each side is 29 inches across. We have a carved statue inside that will not be included.
