Hand made in England Hand distressed for an antique look Hand finished Locking cabinet Fixed wooden shelf Satinwood border Satinwood and ebony fan inlay Minor texture ripple to top Minor wear to one foot Beautiful flame mahogany oval panels, This is a flame mahogany bow fronted sideboard cabinet that was recently(within the last 10 years) made in England. The maker made this buffet by hand properly distressing and hand finishing the piece so it looks very much like a genuine antique sideboard. The top has a satinwood band and half satinwood and ebony ... morestar inlay. You will notice in a few of the pictures the top seems to have a"rippled" texture to it. The ripples run both left to right and front to back and we believe are due to the humidity change coming over from England. The piece is structurally sound and the ripples are only visible in certain lights but we wanted to disclose them as much as possible. Each panel of the cabinet features an oval flame mahogany inlay with a straight grain mahogany quartered border. The effect is quite striking. Inside the locking cabinet door is one fixed wooden shelf. This buffet sits on four spade feet. And there is some minor wear to one of the feet as shown. Overall this is a very unusual piece that is sturdy and will last for many, many years to come. It has a wide variety of possible uses in the home and could be a versatile part of your decor. Unusual bow fronted mahogany sideboard buffet cabinet. This front view really gives you the full"wow" effect of the oval panels. The top has a wonderful combination of flame mahogany and satinwood. Antique Cherry French Provincial Sideboard c. 1840 Country Buffet Server
Exquisite antique French Provincial style buffet or sideboard made from beautifully grained cherry wood. This piece has many hallmarks of high quality construction. Including panelled sides and dovetail joints in the three drawers. Full length door hinges and ornate metal drawer pulls accent the front opf the piece as well as a simple floral carving on the valanced skirt. Three drawers and a generously sized lower cabinet make this a practical storage piece as well. The sideboard most liekly dates from around the 1840's. Overall. This piece is in very good condition, especially considering its age. There are some noticeable scratches and wear to the top surface and a few areas with eveidence of worm damage. One of the feet also has some signs of a minor repair. No other breaks or damage beyond light wear consistent with use. Antique Country farmhouse buffet cupboard hutch
This is a beautiful. Country Cupboard Hutch. The top has a unique stepped back design with plate grooves on all the shelves. There is lots of storage on the bottom section with two cabinets 25 1/2 wide by 24 inches tall,with two shelves running the entire width of the cupboard. There are two drawers with crystal knobs. Overall, it is 61" Wide x 81 and 1/4" High x 19 and 1/2" Deep. The base is 36" High with an original cutting board in the center. This hutch has some primitive painting and distressing and is painted a golden yellow color. This is a beautiful piece. But it's just too big for my current home. Will entertain reasonable offers.

Antique 1929 Cherry Wood Dining Set Table Chairs Buffet Hutch vintage 9 Piece !!
I am the 2nd owner of this nice vintage dining room set-I bought it from the estate of a lady that purchased it new in 1929. Original tags still attached-reads-made by Bernhardt Furniture Co. Lenoir, North Carolina-the underside of the table is also stamped: Oval Table-Cherry-29-etc. Made of Cherry wood-medium, chestnut brown stain allows for much of the grain in the wood to show. Set consisted of table with removable center piece-5 regular chairs and one captain's chair with arms-hutch and buffet. I bought these 20 years ago and now am getting different furniture. I had the seats professionally reupholstered long ago to match my decor(olive green/goldish print)I have always kept seat pads on the chairs when in use-so the seats are in great condition. Table measures 58" x 40" x 30 1/2" tall-with an additional center piece ... morethat measures 12" wide. The Hutch is 47" x 15" x 70" tall. The Buffet is 57" x 17 1/2" x 30 1/3" tall. Overall very nice condition-normal wear for being 84 years old. Some things I would mention are that the wood color of the center piece section is darker than the rest of the table, it was like that when I bought it-possible meant for contrast or maybe because it was stored out of the light)also a slice of the corner wood has broken off as can be seen the the picture-back rt corner of section. Also-a bit of wood had chipped off the top corner of the table leg(tiny but I mention it to be exact-not seen from the top) The legs screw off with attachment bolts to remove them for storage. Also, one chair missing a decorative wood curve on front leg-shown in pic. Also- scratch on table top-6" and 1 1/2"shown in last pic-could be buffed/polished-I leave that to the new owner-totally useable as is. If I missed something-please ask. The color of the hutch in the first pic is the true color-rich and beautiful. It is so well done, and the Linen fabric is so wonderful, it very well could be MADEIRA. The main embroidery is of butterflies. Tiny flowers and vines. Stunning antique oak French Provincial style buffet. This generously sized piece has plenty of storage space and two shelves that could be used for serving. The fronts of the two main doors are carved with a motif of ribbons and musical instruments and there are simple flowers adorning the valanced and scrolled skirt. Panelled doors. Sides and back. Drawer pulls and other hardware look like antiqued brass. Each of the narrow side cabinets have two shelves that come with them, but are not currently installed. The back of the lower shelf has been covered in a white textured paper that is very pretty, but likely not original to the piece. Unsure of the buffet's exct age, but believe it to date from the late 1800's. Overall. This piece is in very good condition. This buffet comes in 3 major pieces. It can be taken apart very easily for cleaning. Maintenance or repairs. It also ships very easily on wooden crates. It has an original finish to it, and was never varnished. The best way to maintain is to oil them regularly as they have been for the last century. Berkey and Gay Furniture antique buffet cabinet and console
Up for auction are a buffet cabinet and console set made by Berkey and Gay Furniture company. Both in nice condition. I purchased this cabinets second hand one year ago with another B&G piece. It is too big for our house, so we are selling it. Manufacture date unknown, but I suspect late 1800's to early 1900's based on several similar examples I found on the Internet. Cabinet and console seem very solid. The cabinet is extremely heavy. Drawers and doors all work smoothly. The door on the left has a hairline fracture line(see third picture above) I cannot determine if this occurred naturally or as a result of some other damage. It does not appear to have been repaired by any method that I can determine. But I am also not an expert in furniture repair. The console matches the cabinet in ornate detail. Appears to have been manufactured ... moresimilar in age. The buffet is 8' long. The console is 4' long. These are very nice pieces with some small blemishes. It still retains it's beautiful dark oak original finish. My photos are awful. The finish is dark like it looks in the photos but there is no light& dark spots like it appears in some of the photos. I believe it is the flash on my camera against the dark original finish. Stickley company makes a reproduction buffet similar to this original#89-711, retail price $6,537.00, the store I checked with in Chattanooga, Tn quoted me $4,249.05 plus $80.00 delivery fee. I am listing this original sideboard for less than the reproduction, $3995.00 which I think is a great starting price. It is selling without reserve which means that if you bid on this item it will start the auction ... moreand if no one else bids on it, you win the item, there is no reserve price. The item number on the back of my buffet is#5039, then it has 3 letters underneath the item number and the word oak, see photo. I'm sure Stickley Brothers Quaint Furniture was quite expensive when it was new just as it is today. The quality is just unsurpassed. You will see the beautiful backsplash, lovely original hardware, ect. but to find pieces with their original dark oak finish intact, well it's just nearly nonexistant. Thats what makes this piece so great is the original finish and the original metal label. The drawers are all dovetail construction as you can see from the photo of the one with the label, this is the silverware drawer. The felt lining was probably soiled after years of use so it has been removed as you can see from the finish inside this drawer. I have left this piece exactly as I found it but we can or you can reline the drawer quite easily. The condition of this item is great, tight and it only has the normal wear that you would find on a piece in original finish and for it's age.
