This furniture is circa 1920. Jacobean or Tudor style. Not really considered antique(100 yrs) It is more commonly called vintage, though I have seen it called antique vintage to attract a wider audience. I was unable to locate any manufacture or date on the furniture other than on the bottom of the chairs which most likely was a re-upholster tag. Although considered common furniture in the 1920s-30s it is an excellent example of detail and craftsmanship. This type of furniture was made by many different manufacturers and sold by many different stores; so finding an exact manufacturer might not be possible. The more common furniture usually was not stamped by any manufacturer. Possibly made from bass wood or common wood. Would like to sell as a group. Beautiful and well preserved sideboard buffet. Red/Brown Marble with not cracks or chips. There are ink stains in the upper drawers. But this is part of its history and character. Skeleton key lock in perfect working order. The detail if the spindles and the upper hand carved piece are exquisite. The marble is approximately 1/4 inch thick and is recessed into the top. Quality piece of Old Sheffield Plate. The handle is removable so that the top handle/decoration may be removed and inverted and also used as a serving dish. It was made late in this period as it is stamped"WARD OF B'TON" AND"B'TON ENG. It is also marked with an unknown trademark stamp. There is a number"2" on the rim of the top lid across from the hallmarks. Please see photos. There are several signs of use as this is over 150 years old: There is a small dent on the bottom corner and there are scratches and marks. Also. There is an engraving on the top front with a crest/initials and what looks to be a palm tree? We're not sure. We did photograph it for your review. With the silver being fused over copper, the dish is rather heavy. These also fit into apertures to line it up and screwing the brackets to the back of the case secures it firmly and safely in place. All in all. This is a piece that I used for a Mantle Top to my rock fireplace. It was a top piece from an Antique Buffet. I have replaced the rock stuff and purchased a different mantle. Carved oak tops, We put a solid piece of Oak for the mantle shelf. I paid more for it 20 years ago and then altered it. I just don't have the room for it any more. What could you use it for? Very nice Art Deco buffet/sideboard/server. Has definitely had a good life and the pictures do show the wear. However the piece is solid and looks lovely when I take the time to treat the wood and polish it. The dovetails on the drawers are great and all the hardware appears to be original. The drawer lining has very little adhesive and removes nicely leaving little trace of adhesive behind. I have seen a similar piece that had ball feet and a decorative piece at the back of the top and I can't tell if this piece ever had them. It has always looked like this while it has been in our family. Size: 38" high 19" deep 60" wide. Would not let this piece go. But we don't have the room for it any longer.

Amazing Antique Buffet Bass Clarinet. 1914! Completely Overhauled. Perfect Working Condition! This auction is for a beautiful antique bass clarinet by the legendary Buffet Crampon. France. This instrument is stamped with the serial No. 1J357 which dates it to 1914. It is also stamped with the historic"Buffet Crampon et Cie A Paris" logo, MADE IN FRANCE" LP" Low pitch means A440, American pitch) and" C. FISCHER NEW YORK" the American distributor for Buffet at the time. The quality of this instrument was unsurpassed at the time and still holds up as the finest example of mechanical and artistic craftsmanship. This instrument is pitched in Bb. Has range to low E and features a double register key mechanism for greater sonority in the second register. As is expected from an instrument that was dormant for many years, ... moreit required a complete cleaning, refurbishing and re-padding. The servicing was done by a top professional technician who, on my request, used the finest white leather pads. All keys, posts and springs were cleaned, inspected and restored as needed. The Keywork is beautiful and the bell and neck are without dents. The wood is excellent and the only flaw is a small surface crack in the lower joint which can be seen in one of the pictures. I chose not to pin this because it is already supported by the ring. Filling is advised, but mainly for cosmetic purposes. The only alteration is the addition of a floor peg which was attached to the bell. The original case is unique and ultra compact and is made of metal with leather veneer and the interior is green velvet. While fully functional, the case is pretty worn and has an odor which persists despite being febreezed and left out to air. As far as playability. It is ready to go. It has a focused, dark and characteristic tone and remarkably good intonation for an instrument this old. This auction is for a antque Buffet-sideboard measures 10'0" w x 39" h x 23" deep. The Buffet is an heirloom piece and been in my family for a long time. The piece is an 1940 French Antique. The buffet is made from solid hard wood with a wood veneer front, and has a beautiful chevron pattern on the veneer, v ery unique. There are five storage compartments in the piece. Two on each end and three in the middle of the piece, each compartment can be locked and comes with a vintage skeleton key. The buffet is finished on top with a scalloped piece of WHITE marble. The marble top does have a crack in it. But it is still in great condition. Overall, this piece is in very good vintage condition. The buffet can also be used as an AWESOME-bar front. We are pleased to offer to the market this stunning antique English cabinet. The maker of this piece is unknown to us. We believe it to be from the late 1800's. A beautiful. Unique and functional piece the attributes of this are numerous. This is made from rosewood and veneer. The gallery top boasts a beautiful marble slab in amazing condition. Above the gallery there is a cabinet with glass doors. The doors have a pretty bell flower with ribbon& bow motif painted on them. This matches the inlaid motif on the base doors. There is an oval shaped beveled mirror between the doors. This has a key for the upper doors and they do lock. Beneath the cabinet doors the backsplash has a larger beveled mirror. The mirror is flanked by shelves mounted on columns with brass accenting. The base section of this has a single drawer above two doors ... morethat open to reveal additional storage space. The drawer has dove tail seams. The drawer has a lock but we do not have the key and the key that locks the upper doors does not work on this lock. There is a faux lock mechanism on the bottom doors as well. With no lock mechanism inside. This is strictly decorative and not functional. The upper and lower lock areas all have brass hardware on them.
