Gorgeous French Solid Wood Tufted Full Bed Antique Vintage
I believe this bed to be vintage or antique. But because the fabric is in excellent condition it is hard to tell. The wood is painted white and has beautiful carved details on the posts and headboard. I have the headboard, footboard, side rails and wooden boards to go under your mattress. Mattress and linens are not included. The bed is very sturdy and solid. I also have metal brackets and screws the attach to the inner corners for extra support. Please feel free to ask questions. Pair of beautiful cut work bed sheets or coverlets that I purchased many years ago to use as curtains. I was going to cover a curtain rod with fabric and vintage buttons for my babies room. But then had a son. That was 18 years ago. They have button holes all the way around the edge, so I believe they were button down bed sheets. This antique sheet measures a massive 118 inches wide and 128 inches long. You may not find a larger one! The monogram measures 7 x 15 inches. And the top edge of the sheet is decorated with cutwork leaves, each finished with expert hand-embroidery. Wide hem at the foot is machine done, as is the top. Weighs 3.3 lbs. The front of this textile uses a gorgeous. White ground linen and cotton mix fabric, that has been both roller printed and block printed using hand carved wooden blocks. The colors of the front include: white ground, deep sienna brown/purple, turquoise and a lovely very muted terracotta orange tone. This front fabric is a dense weave, lovely medium to heavy weight fabric. This textile is 100% hand stitched and hand quilted with a light cotton batting between the layers. The back is covered in a lovely pale natural toned homespun linen and cotton blend fabric, lovely medium to heavy weight fabric. This an absolutely gorgeous bed coverlet and shams! I know these are older but unsure on the age. My guess is early to mid 1900's. These are off~white and in very good condition! There is one 3-4" repair on the side of the fine net skirting, and there a few small minor holes here and there, I think I have a photo of each but may have missed one or two? We brought it into the refinishing shop. ... moreDid whatever little touchups it needed, re-sprayed the flame mahogany paneled headboard top with the solid mahogany pineapple carved posts. It’s in a beautiful reddish-brown stain finish, and it’s just stunning. We actually have another bed for sale that’s just like it. If you’re interested in a pair, you should check our site to see if the other one is still available. The overall outside dimensions are 58 inches wide, 49 inches to the top of the finial on the post, 31 inches high on the solid mahogany cross-stretcher on the footboard, and 45 inches high on the headboard. It has no casters, but if you desire casters, we can put them in, which will raise the bed another 2 inches. The inside dimensions of the wooden side rails that lock in nice and tight are 54 inches wide, and 75 inches long, so it will easily take a modern-day full-size box spring and mattress. Shoofly full-size reversible bed quilt, vintage antique bed covering bedding
Vintage Shoofly Reversible Quilt We purchased this quilt at an antique show years ago and just recently brought it to the Textile Department at the University of Rhode Island to have it evaluated. They determined that the quilt is from the 1880's. The date was established by the type of colors of some of the materials. The pattern is called Shoofly and some of the materials are woven designs. With the blue color called'cadet blue' and the wine color is called'claret' these colors were only used in the late 1800's) The quilt is attributed to Southern New England as there were many mills in this area and these materials would have been made there. It's reversible. And the back is all woven material, and because there are so many different plaids and woven designs it was determined that someone must have worked in ... moreone of the mills to acquire so many plaids. The front has some green material that is English and was used primarily for slipcovers and drapes. There are some striped materials that came from either a man's shirt or woman's shirtwaist(blouse) There is also a half inch binding all around the edge made of the same materials. This is a grain bed off of a 1950 Ford that I turned into a display booth for selling at an antique shop. First photos shows it loaded up with items I was selling in downtown Kansas City. Queen-Size Hand-Painted Antique Bed (1900s - 1950s)
This exquisitely-whimsical and beautiful hand-painted full-size bed will evoke thoughs of delicate flowers climbing trellises up the side of qaint French cottages. Handpainted flowers in vivid oranges. Greens and yellows and purples litter an antiqued off-white background on the head and foot boards. The bed was originally produced and sold by the Ryan Furniture Company, a fine furniture dealer in Seattle, Washington beginning in the 1930s(see picture of tag) This bed has fully-functional rolling leg casters and comes with three padded slats. A small hole and very very light soiling in one area. I got it at an estate sale with a note from the family that reads" Carls father was in the Airbourne troops coming up from N Africa into the toe of Italy up into France. When he landed in Italy he gave a woman a carton of cigarettes in exchange for the table cloth" It does not seem to have ever been used- it has a top fold and it is a coverlet not a table cloth which I think would have been noticed with use.
