Beautiful antique Victorian walnut high back bed/91" tall/ full size bed/awesome
This offering is for the beautiful antique walnut Victorian high back bed pictured. It is 91 1/2" tall and the headboard is 59 inches wide. It takes a full size mattress. The foot board is 31" tall. The trim piece at the very top of the headboard is not original; it was added at some time before we purchased the bed over 20 years ago. The original rails are included and the ends of each rail are pictured for you. I have also pictured the corner pieces of the foot board; they are ornately curved. Two items to note: At one time. There was a small crack in the wood in the foot board leg on the left side(as you stand at the foot of the bed and look at the headboard) I removed the side rail from the bracket in the leg and made the necessary repair, using carpenter's glue and then nailed it in place with two small brad nails and clamped ... morethe repair until the glue was fully set.it is a strong and barely noticeable repair but I did want to identify and picture it for you. On one of the rail pieces. The 1" x 1" piece of wood upon which the slats rest had some damage to it when we purchased the bed over 20 years ago. I replaced the piece with a solid oak trim piece of the same dimension. It was glued in place and also screwed to the side rail, making it a very strong repair with no breakdown of the repair for the past 20 year(this repair is also pictured for you.the repaired rail is the one on the left side as you view the picture) The offering is for the headboard. Footboard. Rails, and slats. However, if you would like to also have the mattress and box springs(purchased from the Original Mattress Factory in 2003-2004 and both are still in good condition) I will include them at no additional cost, though professional shipping cost will be higher if they are included. Antique Poster Bed, Dated 1843, Handmade
This is a very early poster bed. I believe in cherry, with four beautiful finials. Someone has stenciled the date January 26, 1843 on the inside of the bed Rail. It will need slats to support a boxsprings. I have had people try to convince me this was an early rope bed. But there's no sign of the posts that the rope would be connected to. This bed was entirely handmade. The round supports on the bottom were actually threaded and screwed into the post. The widest measurement inside the bed rails is 48 inches. The length is 75+ inches. This is the finest antique bed I have ever had. The patina is wonderful. I would prefer not to ship it. But would consider shipping if the buyer made all the shipping arrangements. Posted with

The cushion opens up and folds out to reveal a hand made mattress, additional legs and even a hand made pillow. The mattress and pillow are made of straw and horse hair stuffing and are very heavy and amazingly in great shape. All antique experts that I have asked about this piece agree that this is extremely rare and nothing like they have seen. It has a metal plaque on the bottom with date and patent number from Boston. We are pleased to present this antique bed frame. Acquired from a generations-owned family estate out of Montana. From what we were told, it has been in the same family all this time. This antique bed certainly looks the part, and while it is in overall good condition, it does have a few items worth mentioning. The paint is flaking(see photos) and there is some surface rust, though this is nothing that will affect the display quality or functionality of the bed itself. At some point in its long history. The brass top bar was lost from the footboard. This again does not affect the stability of the bed. We have assembled it for show on several occasions, and all the parts fit perfectly and without the use of bolts or screws(again see photos) This, combined with the attached metal wheels, makes it easy to move around and store as well. Antique Iron Bed Rail Listing is for a single rail with tapered pin ends. It is as found and has not been cleaned at all. Has rust but is not rusted out. Dimensions: 74 1/4" long from tip to tip. 68 3/4" long between the cast iron ends. The pins are 1" wide at the top and taper to 3/4" at the bottom. From the shoulder to the outer edge of the pin is 1" at the top and tapers to 7/8" at the bottom. The pins are 2" tall. Shipping weight is apx 18lbs. Lovely little bed either a salesman sample or a large doll bed. Fantastic detail on the springs. Iron frame and it has old gold paint on it. 4 lovely little wooden feet. Measures 24 inches long The headboard is 16" tall by 14" wide. The foot board is 12" high by 14" wide. It has a cute tufted cotton mattress which has what feels like cotton wadding and it has a few areas that are stained especially on the underside. Non smoking home. Ca residents to pay sales tax. Gorgeous ANTIQUE/VINTAGE HAND-CRAFTED CROCHET BED QUILT or BLANKET Lg.112" x 75"
This is one of the prettiest and amazing quilts we have seen. It is entirely hand-crafted and took months to make at least 50 years ago. The colors are so vivid and the stitches are so beautiful, we particularly love the 7.5 inch scalloped edging stitch. The lady who made this lovely piece is moving into a retirement home so we do have the history of all the hours she spent working on this artistic quilt. She did make it as a quilt but it could also be used as a blanket too. It is a sizeable piece measuring approx. 112" x 75" and substantially heavy quality. It may have been used as a sofa cover at one time and the squares on one end are a little faded compared to the other end(see photo# 4, the colors are brighter on the left side compared to the right) There doesn't appear to be any wear holes anywhere or broken stitching ... morethat we can see, there is a small 1" area where something has stuck to the fabric, we have not cleaned this item so it may come out with dry-cleaning. However it is hard to see, or find, because of the immense size of the overall quilt. It has been in storage for a long time unused and comes from a smoke-free home. This item is being sold AS IS. It has dots of raised blue enamel all around the top. There was gold on the very top but it is missing about half the gold. The stopper has a few chips at the very bottom. The base to the decanter is perfect. It is hand blown and has a rough pontil. It has the no. 64 in blue on the bottom. No flaws to base of decanter. It has five rings of gold from top to bottom. THE LID HAS THE ORIGINAL PULL RING ATTACHED. THE HANDLE HAS THE USUAL WEAR MARKS AND THERE IS ONLY ONE SMALL CHIP IN ONE AREA. THE BEAUTIFULLY TURNED HANDLE FITS INTO A STURDY SLEEVE AND HAS HANDMADE RIVETS. WE DID NOT POLISH. BUT LEFT AS IS.
