Gently used piece- good condition– NO major damage or defects; no dings, dents, cracks, or broken parts; does show some wear and tear(i.e. scratches throughout the piece, mainly on the bottom legs due to impact with a vacuum cleaner) The last 2 pictures show what type of imperfections to expect as far as scratches go. These are the 2 most severe examples of scratches present. You can expect some minimal scratching elsewhere. Please message me if you'd like additional pictures of a specific part or area. This piece is from Korea and is about 20 or so years old. The exterior design was handcrafted by a Korean artisan who cut each piece of mother of pearl and abalone shell to create the likeness of a peacock surrounded by a blooming bouquet of flowers and butterflies. Please note that the color of the mother of pearl changes depending on the light source- when under natural light. It has a silvery iridescent glow and under interior lighting(incandescent bulb) it has an amber glow. The entire piece is made out of wood painted with a black lacquer finish. The interior is wood also(unpainted) I believe pine, but I'm not exactly sure(it's definitely NOT particle board, though) and it features 2 separate sections(left& right) each with different smaller compartments inside, the details of which are described below. There are 2 sliding doors to access the right and left side and it does have a lock, but I no longer have the key. The size of the entire armoire is 7ft(L) x 6.25ft(H) x 2.25ft(D) approx. It disassembles into 6 major pieces(if I'm not mistaken) top section. 2 sliding doors, bottom section, left section and right section. The top section holds the entire piece together. Once this is pulled off, all the other pieces can be separated fairly easily as there aren't any hinges holding them together. LEFT SECTION Features 1

This"breakdown" wardrobe is in great condition. We are guessing late 1800's by the style and it is either oak or walnut(most of the wood grain is very tight like walnut but some is wider like oak) As far as we know. It appears that it has the original finish and the original hardware to include skeleton key. It was made by the Marstall Furniture Co. in Henderson, KY as can be seen on the label. Antique Victorian Armoire Knockdown Wardrobe Extra Closet Gun Safe
Spectacular original knockdown wardrobe from 120+ years ago. Original finish; well cared for since new. 48" wide; you can use it as a closet for that room that has none. 87" tall including top cornice piece- make sure it will fit before bidding! Completely disassembles with no tools- top. Middle, and base all are held together with sliding wood clamps that cleverly attach the sections. This has been in the same family since new. It was last used as a gun safe judging by the racks on the left side. Both doors lock. Beautiful oak grain with no damage anywhere. No makers mark; just the number 31 stamped on a number of pieces. No wood damage or repairs. No rot. Two pictures show the underside without the casters or feet mounted- last picture shows misc items that came with it- the hook& eye holds on the top trim though it's ... morepegged and sits there just fine without it. The two keys are for each door- both lock. The left lock has been replaced as can be seen. The 4 brass casters and the 4 metal feet are shown as are the wood punches or pegs? I have no idea what those are for or why they were included but they are. Too large to ship- free local delivery. I can deliver it to Columbus OH for $20 in knockdown form if that works. This is a beautiful Walnut Armoire. Louis XV era, circa 1800-1899. It has a single beveled mirror door and has intricate carving on the top and on the bottom drawer. The inside has 5 shelfs measuring 3' x 13" and an inside lockable drawer measuring 27 1/2" x 19 1/2" 4" deep. The inside of the armoire is lined with birdseye maple. The armoire measures 95" to the top of the filigree. And is 40" wide. The beveled mirror measures 25 7/8" wide and is 57 5/8" high. The door is also lockable. Below the door/mirror is another drawer measuring 31 3/4" x 14" x 3 5/8" deep. It is in excellent original condition. It comes apart in 4 sections for easy shipping. We then shipped it to our antique furniture store here in Atlanta. GA. Antique corner wardrobes are hard to find and this one was worth the wait! Most likely made around 1940. The wood used is mahogany. The mahogany wood has developed a lovely, warm patina. The simple lines and subtle decorations ... moreof this antique corner wardrobe will allow it to fit into almost any room where you could use extra storage. It would make a lovely coat closet near the front door or a wonderful clothes closet in a bedroom. The door of this wardrobe is a beveled mirror door. The mirror is clean and does not have any spotting. Inside is a large open space with some brass hooks for hanging. Below the door is a single. Large drawer. The drawer is constructed with dovetailed joints which shows you that the maker was a quality furniture maker. The hardware is all solid brass on the drawer and door. They also both lock and one key is included. Overall this antique corner wardrobe is in very good condition. There are a few dings here and there(especially on the cornice) as you would expect from a piece of this age. We have also pointed out in the photos where the board on the back of the door has expanded causing it to bow out. Beautiful ORIGINAL FINISH and hardware on this antique armoire! Was sold as an antique by a respected dealer in our area 35 years ago. Great patina! Other pictures available on request. Dimensions are approximate 85" H x 48.5" W(at crown) x 20" D(at crown) Approx. case dimensions 44" W x 17" D There are character marks commensurate with its age. The beveled mirror is in terrific condition. No loss of silver. Only noticeable imperfections are on the wood panel which secures the mirror to the door. it shows some splitting and slight warping. Also the trim piece on the lower side came off but we have the wood piece. I am having trouble uploading images for some reason, so serious bidders should please contact me for additional views.
