Beautifully finished in flame mahogany has a moulded cornice over a pair of fielded panel doors with Gothic arch design panels and is raised on a plinth base. Nothing is loose. Drawers and Doors all tight like should be. The pull down door has all the hinge screws missing with the screw holes stripped out. This large antique English Country oak armoire. Manufactured during the early 1900's and recently imported from the UK, offers lovely organized storage for even the largest wardrobe. This large early 20th century wardrobe offers two hanging closets, each with a hanging bar and one has a 10 inch deep campaign drawer in the bottom for storing shoes or boots and a full size beveled dressing mirror on the central closet door; three large blind pull out tray shelves, behind that door along with a dresser with three large drawers. The inside of all the closets and shelving is lined in a yellow fabric which is overall clean and in good condition for it's age, adding a finished touch. The design of the piece includes an interesting construction technique that highlights the quartersawn oak wood and decorative metal hardware. It breaks my heart to sell this piece.but it needs a good home. I have more photos to add. Such as the piece with the doors open, because the inside of the doors are painted with a beautiful patina as well. It's a beautiful piece that has a lockable door(no key included) a mirrored inside, and glass shelving. It is constructed of walnut and has burl wood paneling and it has an amazing grain to it. The interior wood is pine or cedar, I'm not sure. Its dimensions are: 72"H x 47"W x 19.75"D. There is also a rounded topper on the cabinet that adds an additional 8" but it is removable.
