We know the light wood is pecan and believe the darker wood is mahogany from Honduras. Each unit measures approximately 48" wide. 72" high and 24" deep. They both are the same size, it is the wall behind them that is uneven. The unit on the left has built in drawers and small mirror on door, the unit on right has large mirror and shelving with contact paper that was installed at a later date. The poles for hanging clothes are still on top. There are two keys, one for each unit. The bottom four drawers have key holes and lock as well. It was part of their bedroom set, but for the past few years have been stored in the basement. There is some discoloration and peeling issues that have been photographed. There is also adhesive residue where someone taped them during a move. Still a great solid well made set. They are available for pick up only at Manomet Point in Plymouth Massachusetts. We live in Uxbridge MA, therefore will have to make an appointment with the buyer to meet for pick up. Hopefully a nice day.the condo overlooks the beach! Crafted during the first years of the 19th Century. It has a wonderful black paint over another layer of reddish orange, probably also a layer over the original and currently unknown color. The back of the chair has a graceful bow, carefully grasping each through-tenoned splinted spindle before diving through the single solid plank pine seat. The seat is heavily patinated, with deep grooves and wear from decades of active use. The entire chair sits over four splayed bamboo carved legs, all four of which tenon through the plank seat before being secured with a splint, each held firmly and perfectly in place with a bamboo carved H-stretcher. This is a most charming chair, in excellent condition with wonderful patina and character throughout- the early painted surfaces are probably not the original layers, but seem to protect earlier layers beneath, these quite possibly the earliest surfaces. A wonderful find for those that are passionate about fine windsor chairs. Measurements: Seat 13.5" wide x 14.5" deep. The seat sits 16" from the ground and the back of the seat is 33.5" high. Condition Report: Paint worn throughout. Probably not the original surfaces. Deep groves and losses in the plank seat. Chips and abrasions throughout. One nail, appears to be modern, on side of chair stabalizing hoop back. Plank seat split with a butterfly joint securing seat from beneath and two screws locking it in place. Chair is structurally strong, but could possibly be too weak to use functionally as a chair. Please review the images in the slideshow for a full overview of condition.

An authentic Country French armoire or wardrobe from about 1900 is solid walnut with an original satin finish in extremely fine condition. This furniture from France has been waxed and buffed so that only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina. The hand carved crest in high relief is beautiful. There is a"secret" drawer in the base. Inside are shelves that adjust on wooden supports. Doors have lift off hinges. This piece disassembles for easier moving. Brass escutcheons are also original. The lock still works and sides have raised panels. Original shaped and beveled mirrors have a hint of"smoke" to show their age. Handmade Rustic Reclaimed Antique Armoire owned by Robert Mitchum
This armoire was purchased in Topanga Canyon just outside of Los Angeles. The previous owner purchased it from a friend of Robert Mitchum's who had acquired it after Mitchum's passing in 1997. The story goes that Mitchum kept the armoire on his Atascadero Horse Ranch until he moved it onto his boat in Santa Barbara. I have searched for solid evidence of this story but have only found corroborating information. What I did find out about this armoire is that it is handmade out of reclaimed wood. The door hinges are truly unique. They are made out of steel wire. I have found no other reference to this type of hinge on the internet. There is the remnant of a secret compartment on the side of the armoire. The compartment is now gone but the keyhole remains. The only reference to this type of construction was in Spanish Colonial armoires. ... moreThe carpentry is mortise and tenant with dowel pins. The beading is part of the framing wood. Not tacked on as in modern furniture. There are flecks of old blue paint on the reclaimed wood. The most interesting and prominent feature is the handmade latch that has worn an imprint on the door where it has probably swung for a very long time. Why am I selling it? We recently downsized and I do not have the proper room or time for it. It is very heavy and available for local pick-up only. We are located in Agoura Hills. CA.

Love this Antique White Gentleman's Wardrobe.it measures 5' 10" tall 3' 1" wide. It measures 2' feet on the inside. It is in excellent used condition. I was excited to find this piece and fell in love with the scroll work on the top edge and on the door. On the inside it is beautiful walnut with a mirror mounted on the door( no cracks) with brass clasp to hold it into place. The door pull is in a tear drop and that just makes the whole piece work. Antique Vintage Dollhouse Bed, Armoire, Chair & Night Stand 1910-1920 German
This is a cute group of furniture probably made in Germany in the 1910-1920. The bed is about 5" long and 3" high. The chair is 4 1/4" high. The armoire is 5 1/4" high and the nightstand about 3 1/2" high. The original blanket is attached to the bed which has it's original ormolu decoration. There is also ormolu on the armoire and nightstand.There are no broken or repaired parts but I think the armoire originally had a lower drawer. They are in good condition considering their age. English Antique Solid Brass Armoire Oriental Style Hardware with Latch-Lock-Key
Amazing Set of Hardware! Hardware was removed from an antique English Armoire that we acquired 20+ years ago. The Armoire was covered in leather that was damaged beyond repair. Our intent was to remove the damaged leather and refurbish the piece. But for a multitude of reasons, it just didn't happen. Our estimate on age. Based on the piece of furniture would be early 1900's. It's the real deal. The Photo's tell the story of just how awesome this hardware is! These are seriously old and solid brass. Photo's# 1-3 show the door front hardware with key insert front and back along with dimensions(please note on photo#1 that we do have a lot of the original screws) Photo#4 shows the 3 pairs of door hinges(note that one of the hinges is missing original brass pin) Door lock and top& bottom door latches. Key is not original ... moreto lock, but spent considerable time locating a key that works an works smoothly. Photo's#5& 6 give dimensions of lock and door latch hardware. Photo's#7& 8 show the detail of the door hinge front& side. Photo#9 shows the back side of hinge. Please not that what looks like rust is really the leather that originally covered this piece. Again note the missing pin on top right hinge. Photo's#10. 11& 12 show the lock detail and it's manufacturer, H Squire& Sons Wolverhampton. This company was started in 1780 and is still in business today. We have tried contacting the company to confirm age of lock, but to date have not had a response. The armoire has two very large doors that swing open, and are secured with a metal antique key. The two drawers under the doors open for additional storage. Indicative of pieces from this era. Classic Vintage Antique "Chifferobe" Wardrobe Armoire Early 20th Century
This is an early 1900's antique"chifferobe" or"chifforobe" or"chiffarobe" I.e. wardrobe with 5 drawers and a small mirrored door on one side, and a full size wardrobe door on the other side. Behind the full size door is a place for hanging garments with an iron hanging rod. A couple of the drawers need some work but everything else functions normally. Beautiful wood grain with wear and tear that would be expected for age of furniture. Has been in continual use for 75 to 95 years! The inside of the chifferobe is somewhat more rustic than the exterior. One drawer bottom is quite interesting(see photo# 6)I don't know if this wooden crating material was a replacement or if it originally came that way. Either way. It's been like that for as long as I can remember, and I'm 57 years old. Truly. This ... moreitem would make a great display piece for an antique clothing boutique or for great storage for at home! Dimensions: approximately. 45" in width. 63" in height, and 22.35 in depth. A little bit of history: My grandparents were married in 1919. This chifferobe very likely dates from the very beginning of their marriage. If not. They certainly acquired it sometime soon thereafter. It was a fixture in their home for decades. And my widowed grandmother continued to use it throughout her adult life up until her death in the early 1990s. So this is truly an original vintage item with quite a bit of age on it. TRIVIA: In"To Kill a Mockingbird" The character Mayella Ewell pays Tom Robinson a nickel to"bust up" an old chifferobe for her. This incident becomes central to film's major courtroom drama.

This item is a gorgeous cabinet purchased from Cargo for about $2500 a few years ago. It is finished in red lacquer and has beautiful. Intricate carving work. It has three drawers as well as 2 shelves. It is in excellent condition with the only damage being a large scrape on the inside of one of the legs(see pictures) Folding doors with beautiful detailing.
