I am selling a beautiful ceramic figurine from Cordey- of an elegant lady. Her hair piled up on her head and held secure with a pink rose and lavender ribbon- her 18th century gown embellished with ruffled lace- all supported by a rococo-inspired base, enhanced by gilding. Height is 11 3/8" Condition is close to excellent- just some losses to lace ruffles on front(see photos 6& 7) and a small loss to lace on reverse. Still stunning!

Vintage CORDEY China Lady Bust Figurine 5019 Delicate Pink Flowers
This exquisite porcelain lady bust figurine is approx 6 1/4" tall and 3" wide. It is believed to date back to the 40's or 50's and is in good vintage condition. The lace collar and applied flowers on these Cordey pieces are quite delicate and seldom escape some breakage. This figurine is no different and does have a broken petal on the base flower. There is also some breakage on the lace collar above the left shoulder. This is not too obvious though and if I didn't know better. I would not have noticed it as it just looks like it was designed this way. This is a lovely piece and is marked on the bottom with the number 5019. Please contact me with any further questions. Boleslaw Cybis Cordey porcelain lamb 5" tall This decorative figurine was made between 1942-1955. It stands 8" tall and the base is 6 1/4" across. The base is marked 6025 67. With 6025 being the product, or mold number; and 67 being the number in the series in which it was fired. The colors are in good condition but three of the little tufts of fur on the head are chipped on the very tip; and the end is broken off the lowest leaf on the flower. Vintage Cordey Figurine Porcelain French Provincial Decorative Wall Plaque
This listing is for a vintage 1940's-1950's Cordey(precursor to Cybis) porcelain decorative wall plaque measuring approximately 12" x 9" with a depth of 3-1/2" flush back that adheres to wall is 8-3/4" x 5" It features a charming three-dimensional lady creating the impression that she is emerging from a pastel garden path as she steps out of the flat backdrop or frame. To me. The style appears to be French Provincial given the scrollwork and the woman's style of attire; but it could be considered Victorian/Art Nouveau or Colonial, as well. This beautifully rendered piece is in marvelous condition- I can find no chips, cracks or breaks. The white along the edges of her hat, flowers and leaves reflect the absence of paint- apparently not applied on the edges in some areas- and are not chips or damage. The ... moremark on one of her fingers on the left hand is extra porcelain and not a chip or flea bite. She is indeed in wonderful condition, numbered and signed Cordey on the back. Up for sale are two vintage Cordey Grape Gatherers Young Man and Woman figurines that are signed and numbered. The Cordey China Company was founded in 1942 in Trenton. New Jersey, by Boleslaw Cybis. The operation was small with less than a dozen workers. They produced figurines, vases, lamps and similar items, much of which was marketed through gift shops both nationwide and abroad. Though the earlier wares were made of plaster, Cybis soon developed his own formula for a porcelain composition which he called"Papka. Cordey figurines and busts were characterized by old-world charm, Rocco scrolls, delicate floral appliques, ruffles and real lace which was dipped in liquified clay to add dimension to the work. Although on rare occasions some items were not numbered or signed. This lovely Cordey figurine is of Marie Antoinette. It measures 11 1/2" tall. The dress is done in three pastel colors, green, pink and blue and has a lot of lace embellishment. I have looked it over carefully and do not see any damage. The bottom is inscribed with the Cordey name and also the number, 5084" There is also an old paper sticker near the bottom, most likely the store it was sold from. Created in the 1940s, hand-numbered on the base, 5071, 128" and a very faint, hand-incised mark, Cordey, on the base. This beautiful. Elegant Caucasian lady imitates the grandeur and gracefulness of Oriental costuming both in headdress and gown, as well as facial makeup; she, herself, has graying hair, pulled up and inside the hat. Much gold accents the soft, pastel coloring of the costume, and she stands upon an attached rococo plinth also accented in gold. The molding of the entire piece is loose and expertly"carefree" in that upon first glance.
