I am unsure of the origin of this piece. Although it has been in my family for over 75 years. I believe the eyes were added, later, because of their excellent condition and placement. I am certain the piece is at least 100 years old but uncertain of its exact age without an authenticator. Which I am not. This was obviously the head of a religious statue. Wouldn't it be wonderful if someone out there in the world had the original missing body? Condition is appropriate for its age. I believe it is made of wood with a polychrome type finish.
