American Empire Antique Wig Chest Dresser Crotch Flame Mahogany~Marble Top 1825
Here we have a very Rare Empire Dresser for your consideration. This is a very fine Wishbone Mirrored Dresser with side wig curio cabinets. These dressers have always been the Cadilac of Empire Dressers. But this one is one of the finest we have ever seen. The burled or Flame Mahogany is fantastic. The colors are just beautiful. We do not have the exact history. But the party we bought the dresser from, told us that this dresser was saved in Katrina from the Huricane in New Orleans. It was transported north and sold to raise money for the people who once owned it there. We bought it from the next party who purchased it. The dresser is of such fine quality, and has all original parts. The only thing it may need is some new screws in the back when the wig cabinets mount. At the moment it is all assembled and they were not needed. But when the ... moredresser comes to its new home, that is one addition we would suggest is new screws in the back area. The wood on every side is pristine on this piece. The only thing you would find is normal wear from a dresser of such a grand age. All that is needed is a nice polish and this piece is ready to set up and be displayed with pride. The dresser is 77" tall by 43" wide by 21" deep. The mirror attaches on each curio side with wooden screws and original knobs. The drawer fronts have the carving at the top and bottoms and the matched grain of the wood is outstanding. This piece could be by the famous cabinet maker Thomas Day. As even the sides of the dresser have fantastic matched graining. The hand made dove tails and brass locks, are all top notch and fine quality. The marble top inset is beautiful thick Italian Marble with nice grain and detail. There are no chips, nor cracks on the marble. It could use a polish from a marble professional. But the patina and wear only adds charactor to the piece. Antique Big Victorian Bedroom Decor Furniture Dresser 1850 Mirror Brush Set
Hello- This is a very special True Victorian Hairbrush Mirror from at the LATEST 1850! The Amber-Yellow glass indicates this. And is never reproduced. When looking into the Etched Amber Glass, Your face is surrounded by the flowers just like my camera is if you can imagine, and your face has an amber glow. I placed it on the 50's mirror so that you can see the difference in the glass's. The big round mirror is part of the set. The Victorian Curling is genuine, I'm not positive of it's age, But these were used even into the 1920's. The brush measures approx. 10" long x 3 1/3" at the widest. And has a wooden brush area to hold the bristles. The metal is a bit tarnished from age, a magnet does not stick to it and I don't know what kind of metal it is. There is some loss to the etching of the flowers, but not ... moretoo much and is still in wonderful condition. The curling iron is approx. 10" long. With a thin crimping rod for"pin curl" size curls. The round mirror has some tarnishing from age. A magnet does not stick to it. The mirror measures approx. 12" long x 9" at the widest. Late 1800's Marble top/Maple oak wash stand signed!
This awesome piece came out of my great. Great, great grand parents house if Norfolk, CT in the late 1800's. The wood is in excellent condition. Marble is perfect, no cracks, splits or signs of breakage. The marble does have some smoke damage, my house burnt down as a kid and yet this survived, but nothing that can't be buffed out. The stand has a skeleton key that locks both the drawer and the cabinets. It is signed by the original maker. These pieces are rare, especially in this condition. It does have a side table that goes with it. I have it in a separate posting but would like sell them as a set. Serious bidders only!

Solid oak with a very old refinish job taht shows quite a bit of wear. Note the back left corner in the pictures, that is where it met the mirror rack and is is different from the back right side. Whoever refinished it put a patch in the back left corner of the top to fill in where the rack was. Great little piece that will work in most any room. Description Large Victorian Heavily Carved Gothic Revival Dresser. One of the most fantastic dressers it's ever been my pleasure to own. C arving to most surfaces including the edge of th e plank oak lower se ction top. The oak has aged wonderfully with wear through in many places to the natural wood colour. The patination is great and tells the tale of it's hi story beautifully. The dresser itself is constructed in a quality rustic method. The upper section planks are pushed thro ugh and pegged. The lower section is made of oak throughout and is a str uggle for 2 people to carry. It's THAT heavy! The whole lower unit is peg construction. That's the highest quality cabinet construction method. Even now. The handles are G eorgian style batwing one s. They could well be G eorgian ones from an early cabinet. The centre section ... morehas four drawer fronts on it. The upper two are a drop down drinks cabinet/bureau, the lower two are a pull out nine bottle wine cell ar. One ha ndle here do es have it's swinging section missing. This is on one of them tha t isn't used luckily. You don't notice it unless you look for it! T he cupboards at each side are large and have a drawer above with complimentary carving to their edges. There is a nod to the arts and crafts movement on the up per section. Antique Vintage Oak Venier 2pc Chest of Drawers
This is another item I am listing for a neighbor/friend. His parents purchased this at an auction about 40 yrs ago and at that time it was said to be about 100 yrs old. He does not have any documentation to prove this although. He moved into a place a few yrs ago that had a leak in the roof which did some damage he did however totally restore it and resealed it. 1850's empire dresser with original mirror
This is an circa 1850's walnut empire dresser. Everything is original. One mounting post on the left mirror arm is missing at the bottom. And the position post for the right arm is missing at the side. Dimensions are 42.5" wide. 42" tall(mirror adds an additional 30" and is 20" deep. I will meet the buyer halfway. Up to 90, miles for pick up. The wood is in beautiful condition. With one or two minor scratches.

Up for consideration is a fine Swan Harped Quarter Cut Tiger Oak highboy or gentleman's dresser. The dresser measures 74 inches high by 24 inches deep by 36 inches wide. The mirror is fine condition. The piece has all it's original hardware with brass bail handles. Likewise the original beveled mirror. It is interesting to note that the dresser has an ultra clean back and interior of the drawers. The drawers have old newspaper for 1937. They are ultra clean with light signs of wear. The quartered oak graining can be see in the pictures. It doesn't really show in the pictures but this piece is rather chunky with large pawed feet with old wooden wheels. Sheraton Style Mahogany Chest of Drawers from CT ca 1800
This is your chance to own a piece of Connecticut history. This bureau is a family heirloom coming from an 18th century farm in Old Lyme. It is in very good condition for a piece that is about 200 years old. The top drawer is faced with crotch-split mahogany surrounded by inlay. Each drawer face is framed with beading. The beading is missing in a couple of places from use over the years. Each of the drawers has a lock but we have no keys for them. The hollow brass hardware is original to the piece. Some of the pulls will need repair but the brass is all there. The varnish is crazed from age and it may be the original finish. The mahogany is split in a couple of places from age and there are a couple of nicks in the veneer, all adding to the patina of the piece. The drawers are constructed of poplar. antique mahogany empire dresser chest miniature salesman sample childs Fresh from an estate and new to the market is this mahogany miniature dresser. Possible a salesman sample or apprentice piece. I believe it is empire style. It measures 8 1/2" wide by 8 3/3" high by 4" deep. drawers are all dovetailed by hand and square head nails used for the other parts. There is grooves on the top drawers where I believe there was a mirror at one time which has been long lost. It is missing one pull and I don't know if they are original. This wonderful big tall chest was recently picked from an old Boston area home and is 100% ORIGINAL and in near mint shape! This piece has six drawers. The drawers are all in good condition and have early hand cut dovetails. The drawer fronts are decorated with two raised burled walnut panels each and all six original drawer locks are still present. The original brass and wood drawer pulls are a rare smaller version of the victorian tear drop pulls. Flanking the drawers are beautiful vertical burled columns. Antique Dresser All Oak. White Marble Excellent Condition Beveled Mirrors Offered is a beautiful oak dresser or vanity. The outstanding feature is the white marble top and it is in mint condition. This is remarkable considering it's age. The dresser has 3 parts- the mirror assembly. The marble mid-section, and the oak base cabinet. The mirror is attached with 2 wooden rear slats which extend to the base cabinet& screws that hold it rigid. The marble rests on the base. It is solid and sturdy. It stands evenly on the floor. The marble section is white with a thin grey lines from the stone. It is not composit or manufactured stone. It is clean, no chips, no repairs. The mirror rests on the rear of the top shelf which is over a marble galleried backsplash and opposing side sections. The flat top surface is clean& smooth white marble, all marble is matching and original to the piece. The base cabinet has 2 pull out drawers over 2 swing out doors which open to a large interior with a center horizontal shelf. The base has 1/4 round fluted columns which match the mirror and a center vertical with carving and a burled oval decoration. The pulls are brass, the locks work, a key is provided. When we received this piece they had put vinyl on the top and it was horrible. We removed it and our intention was to just put a finish on it, but I laid a piece of leather on it and wow it was beautiful. So it stayed. It was made for and was in a state park here in Texas until they had to remodel the cabins. The top drawer has some writing, which I left alone. It is made of cypresss. As you can see this is profusely carved piece with flower and leaf detailing and lots of turned spindles. This is a two piece dresser with two cupboard doors to the base with two drawers above. The upper section is a double door food cupboard with single shelf to the interior. Country French 1895 Antique Carved Oak Marble Top Chest. Beveled Mirror. An authentic 1895 era Country French marble top dresser or chest has a shaped and beveled mirror. And would make a wonderful vessel sink vanity. Hand carving in solid quarter sawn oak shows superior craftsmanship- artistic detailing, graceful curves and raised and shaped panels. The original finish is very well preserved on this European furniture. Waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain the warm honeyed patina. Embossed brass hardware is original, drawers have hand cut dovetail joints. There is a tiny chip to the marble, which has been polished and sealed to resist stains. Antique Victorian Eastlake style marble top dresser with tilting mirror. It has a good original finish. There are some dry spots. And you may want to want to refinish it. I think it looks fine, but check out the photos. It is missing one roundel above the right candle stand and one bracket below the right candle stand. Please see photos. Dimensions 85-1/2" tall x 43-1/2" wide x 20-12" deep. It is 28-1/2" tall to the top of the marble. The tilting mirror frame is 37" tall x 27" wide There are no castors. Buyer to pick up in Mobile. A VERY FINE ANTIQUE. CIRCA 1870’s, CENTENNIAL WALNUT PETITE HIGHBOY CHEST OF DRAWERS. IT IS IN TWO SEPARATE SECTIONS: THE CABRIOLE LEG LOWBOY, AND THE CHEST ABOVE. THE FOUR LEGS ARE NICELY CARVED WITH WEBBED CLAW FEET OVER BALL, CARVED ACANTHUS LEAF ON THE KNEES, THE SKIRT SERPENTINE EDGED. THERE IS ONE LONG DRAWER OVER THREE DRAWERS, THE CENTER DRAWER WITH BRASS KNOB, OTHER DRAWERS WITH QUEEN ANNE BRASS BAIL PULLS. THE TOP HAS A MOLDING EDGE TO HOLD THE CHEST. IT HAS EIGHT GRADUATED DRAWERS WITH LIKE PULLS, THE TOP WITH TWO BOARDS FRAMED WITH MOLDING, THE SIDES EACH A SINGLE BOARD. SECONDARY WOODS ARE MAPLE.
