Even the sides of dresser and armoire are hand painted with scenes I think it is 1900's but could be earlier. I bought it 10 years ago and it was described as French cream and brown. I am only giving it up as I have inherited a family bedroom suite and need the room. Beautiful brass ornate pulls(all there) Glass tops are on dresser and nite stands as well as vanity all there. Dresser is 50 inches wide and has mirror 46 inches wide small thin piece of trim on front of dresser is missing but is easily replaced Armoire is 37 inches wide and 79 inches tall the original key is still with it The armoire door is not latching but would be easy to fix. I show a picture of the inside of the armoire, there is a rod inside of armoire with a small drawer. The vanity is 42 inches wide with matching ornate mirror and drawer. The 2 nightstands both have a door that opens for storage they are 22" wide. The bed head board is adorned with flowers has a small area of paint missing. Bed is 67 inches across and 58 inches tall. It would easily accommodate a 3/4 full or queen mattress. There is not a footboard or side rails it was not made for them. Top board is is 23 1/2" x48 1/2" Sides have 19 1/2" wide boards 7 drawers: 3 over 4 12 glass pulls Top drawers has a veneer band around the edges. Hairy carved lion paw feet. Fine dovetail drawers open smoothly. In great condition for the age. Back boards need to be better secured. A few minor imperfections/surface scratches on the piece but overall beautiful for an 1800's dresser! I prefer local pickup but would be open to working with buyers supplied transport for pickup.

The dresser offers 3 long locking drawers. Pin& cove(knapp joint) ends on the drawers. All the drawers have their locks intact but no key. The drawers feature an incredible matched set of 6 original period pulls in the Anglo Japanese Geisha Pattern probably manufactured by Russell& Erwin. Here is an antique East Lake-style walnut top dresser with tilting mirror and 3 drawers from the late 1800s. Dark refinished walnut solid wood. Mirror has beveled edges. Drawer sides are dovetailed to faces and backs. Six drawer pulls all the same. Locks for each drawer but no key. Cabinet measures 42 inches long. 19 inches deep and 30-1/2 inches tall. Mirror adds 46 inches for overall height of 76-1/2 inches. Total weight of cabinet and mirror is 120 lbs. Mirror is removable from dresser. Condition: Dresser is in very good condition. Antique East Lake Dresser marble top with 4 drawers
Here is an antique East Lake-style marble top dresser with 4 drawers from the late 1800s. Dark walnut solid wood. Drawer sides are dovetailed to fronts and backs. Eight drawer pulls all the same. Locks for each drawer but no key. Tan colored marble top. Sort of looks like ground up seashells or fossils. Cabinet measures 38-1/2 inches long, 18 inches deep and 30 inches tall including casters. Marble top measures 40-1/2 inches long, 19-1/2 inches wide and 13/16 inches thick. Total weight of cabinet and top is 120 lbs. Condition: Dresser is in very good condition. Wood joints are tight. There is a small wood repair showing in the last photo. About ½ inch diameter that is very dark near the center drawer lock.There is a small nick less than 1/8 inch deep in the edge of the marble top. All drawers slide well. For your consideration, this Rare and Unusual Chestnut Victorian Tall Lock-side Chest with Ornate Gallery and Desk(Circa: 1870) This very handsome Victorian Chest weighs approximately 115 pounds and measures 62 ¾” in height(from the floor to the center top of the removable gallery) 34” in width, and 20” in depth. The attention to detail given to the design of this Chest is splendid! The fancy and very ornate removable top gallery is graced with scalloped moulding. Large globe finials, carved rosette roundels and additional incised carvings. The corners of the gallery are adorned with turned finials. Knapp joinery is found on the beautiful drawers which are graced with scalloped moulding(top drawer only) and raised oval panels(five of which are clad with luscious burl accents) The ... morethird drawer actually opens out to become a desk. This desk compartment is furnished with a black felt writing surface, two birds-eye maple mini-drawers, and three storage slot compartments. Fancy original period Brass hardware is found on all of the drawer fronts and the lock-side mechanism is in working order and a key is included. HEPPLEWHITE SHERATON FEDERAL MAHOGANY VANITY DRESSER
This is a lovely Federal Era mahogany dresser. I believe this to be a period piece. It is constructed of mahogany with contrasting veneers. The bottom board of the drawers have a chamfered edge to fit into the drawer slots as well as hand dovetailing. The veneer does have some cracking around the edges as shown in pictures but in overall good condition for the age of the piece. Also pictured is a repair to the mirror frame that seems to have been done a long time ago. It is a very good repair in respect to the strength. It does not feel loose at all. Lastly. It also looks as if the mirror frame was burned by a candle at some point. I have tried to show all of this in the photos as to accurately depict. for sale is a very nice serpentine quartersawn oak dresser with an intricate cut beveled mirror housed within its frame. to cut that mirror today with the bevel would cost a minimum of 800.00. at any rate this is a wonderful solid dresser with no issues to report other than the mirror is a bit smokey and has lost a wee bit of silver. it has great carving with much detail. the top is solid quartersawn oak of the highest quality. hardware is all original. the casters are new. the top is serpentine as well as the front. it is 50 inches wide at it widest point. 24 inches deep at the widest point. it is 82 inches tall being 36.5 inches to the top surface of the dresser. it has a claw type foot. i managed to dig this out of an upstairs bedroom set. i have included a few pictures of the bed. 19th c. Adams style painted vanity, lift-top dressing table —courting scene lute
Up for auction we have an authentic 19th century lift top vanity or dressing table which is Adams style and hand painted. The top features a scene of a courting couple dancing while a lute player plays off to the right. The corners of that scene are embellished with fronds and torches. Rose swags adorn the drawer fronts. The sides each feature a hand painted landscape scene of town as seen from the rural hills. Color scheme of rose, dusty turquoise, ivory. The squared off legs have brass collars at the top. The hardware appears to be original. Two of the drawers are stuck closed and we didn't want to force them. There is also a center pullout flat surface that is stuck closed. The two side compartments are lined in silk inside. The silk has some stains but is intact. The center shallow compartment is wood. It has the original finish, which I believe is flame burled walnut, with a beautiful wood grain and patina. The end pieces on the base and the mirror supports are carved. The drawers have dovetail joints. Keyholes and the original glass pulls(keys are not included) I purchased this dresser in Atlanta 25 years ago. I was told it was a Civil War era piece dating to the 1860s. Although I have no way of verifying that. The drawers are very large and roomy. This is typical of pieces made at that time. As clothes were stored flat in drawers. This is a large. Solid piece measuring 54 in wide x 26 in deep x 35 in high. The mirror with frame measures approx. 46 in across x ... more37 in high. Overall. This piece is in good condition, but it is old and does have some imperfections. The top surface is very blotchy from what were probably water stains. Miniature American Classical(Late Federal) Mahogany Chest of Drawers New England c. 1810-20 Item# 130105RQY17 This is a very fine American Classical(Late Federal) Mahogany Chest of Drawers. A Salesman's Sample of Miniature dimensions c. 1810-20. It is crafted of solid mahogany(top, sides, drawer fronts, drawer secondaries, columns) mahogany veneers(stile facings on right and left of drawers and drawer blades) white pine secondaries(back, bottom, interior blocking) rosewood(knobs) and unidentified stringer inlays(appear to be holly or satinwood) The top is rectangular in form. Projecting over the front and sides with tight turrets at the corners over spiral-turned columns- these complex formations transition from a series of tight ring turnings into the spiral balusters over tiny urns and completed with a series of complex ring turnings ... moreover cork feet. The columns define the chest, greatly elevating the form with tasteful embellishment that does not distract from the overall composition. The graduated two over three drawers retain their original rosewood knobs, these flanking the inverted tear-drop escutcheons and framed as a whole in the rectangular stringer inlays. Dovetail construction dominates the chest. Through dovetails securing the sides of the case to the bottom and presumably to the interior framing upon which the top is set(unable to verify without removing the top) The back board is deeply chamfered to slide into rabbets in the sides and is secured with glued blocks inside the case and tacks along the lower edge. The drawers are likewise dovetailed front and back, the bottom board on four of the five with mitered edges to slide into rabbeted drawer sides: one of the tiny drawers varies in construction from the other four. The bottom board is chamfered along the edges, sliding into rabbets in the drawer sides. Antique (c.1870) lady's dresser in the style of Charles Eastlake
This"Charles Eastlake" style lady's dresser has been in our family for more than 140 years. It belonged to my great grandmother. A gift from her new husband on their wedding day in the early 1870s. She was 15; he, 31. The dresser is made from deep red cherry or mahogany wood. The piece is in wonderful condition except for a few minor flaws(shown) For five generations of women, it has never been used for anything but its original purpose, a lady's vanity above and three-drawer clothes chest below. A 7 3/4 x 16 1/4 inch marble insert is centered on the top front surface. In addition to three large drawers below. It has jewelry or glove drawers on each side of the top and two small knick-knack shelves on either side of the mirror. The total height from the original porcelain casters to the rounded finial on top is 75 inches. ... moreThe maximum depth from front to back is 18 1/2 inches and the width is 35 1/4 inches. The mirror is on a swivel. Allowing it to be adjusted back and forth vertically. The mirror dimensions are 11 1/4 x 19 inches and the unbeveled glass is too clear to be original. The three drawers below have interior dimensions of 29 inches wide, 13 1/2 deep. The front of each lower drawer has a burled inset(probably faux) typical of Eastlake furniture. The glove and jewelry drawers are 6 1/2 inches wide, 13 1/2 inches deep. All 8 knobs are original. This dresser was manufactured in an American factory or shop. Probably in the Midwest, following design concepts of English architect and designer Charles Eastlake. His ideas were disseminated in his book Hints on Household Taste in Furniture. Upholstery and other Details, first published in England in 1868. And then in United States in 1872. Eastlake pieces, though contemporary with Victorian furniture, 1870-1890, are actually anti-Victorian. He called for angular, notched and carved pieces, deliberately opposed to the curved shapesof French Baroque Revival Styles prevalent in the Victorian era. The marble top has a few visible cracks but has been refurbished- the marble piece is moved as one whole piece. The mirror swivels and detaches with screws in the back. for sale a wonderful pierced carved victorian rococo walnut dresser vanity or possibly a shaving stand. depends on what you want as to what you call it. it is a great piece presented in original finish with wonderful patina. it is in near mint condition with the exception of a small repair. Looks as if screws have been replaced on one of the back swivel mount pieces. there are no weakness or problem and the function is perfect, but it has been tweaked a bit. it is 30 inches wide and sits on great carved rococo feet. the base has three hinged caskets for whatever you want to put in them. it is 12 inches deep, extending one inch behind the mirror base. the mirror base and harp are of wonderful form and design. the base and harp are pierced carved in the finest fashion. it is 33 inches in overall height. the harp houses an oval frame which contains ... morethe original mirror that is nearly perfect. there is the minutest amount of sliver loss. these are hard to find especially in the shape this one is in. the three caskets are a 9.5 inch oval in the center and two 6.5 inch round ones on either side of the central oval one. someone will be proud to own this great piece. it may be picked up at my home and shipped at buyer's expense. i have owned about 4 of these in 40 years, none any nicer than this one, but all sold for a lot more than i am starting this one at. i had one that i had a little dresser base for it to sit on. it sold for about 3000 a few years back. anyway, if you are on your toes you can get a bargain here. a rare and fair find and wonderful in every way.
