The flame mahogany looks incredible. With a rich complexion and a pronounced grain that are sure to complement any setting. Each drawer is adorned with elegant solid brass pulls and features dovetailed joints. The writing surface is inlaid with rich brown leather bordered by gold tooling-which was replaced during a recent restoration that also included a new coat of hand-rubbed wax. In total, this desk features three drawers and two cabinets on one side, with seven standard drawers and a file drawer on the other. Conveniently this desk disassembles quite easily: like all pedestal desks, the top simply rests securely on the two pedestals. Some of the surfaces show some minor wear marks, particularly on the feet, but they are very minor indeed, so overall condition is excellent, especially for a desk from this period. One of the most interesting thing about this desk is that in the upper corner of the right door there is a piece of paper taped inside that lists the presidents of the United States and has 24 of them with Woodrow Wilson being the last one and the date listed is 1893. This piece looks like perhaps the top may have been added later, not sure, and also where the slant top is looks like it was altered at one time as well. An amazing piece, all pegged. Vintage, Walnut Herman Miller, George Nelson Designed 2 Pedestal Executive Office Desk and was most likely built between 1958 and 1963. The desk is from the Herman Miller Company’s Executive Office Group 8000 Series and is model 8865. The left pedestal has two drawers, an upper storage drawer and a lower file drawer. The right side is a 3-drawer pedestal. The"floating" walnut veneer desktop measures 84 inches long and 36 inches wide, 1-1/4 inch thick, and has a height of 29.5 inches. The attached privacy screen is in excellent condition. The desk is marked on two of the drawer handles with the Herman Miller name and logo, and has labels inside of two drawers that designate it as a George Nelson design. All of the drawers open and close smoothly and can be locked. There are 3 keys for the 2 locks. There are some small scratches, drill holes, tiny areas of veneer loss, an area of white paint, and areas of light fading. Holes were drilled into the top front of each pedestal to install plastic brackets to hold electric cords and two holes were drilled into the bottom of each pedestal. Overall this Herman Miller/George Nelson walnut desk is in very good vintage condition. See Photos) This desk easily disassembles for transport. The top can be removed with 6 bolts and the two pedestals are attached to the modesty screen with a few screws. According to the 1961 Herman Miller product brochure the 84 x 36 x 1-1/4 inch desk top is the largest available and weighs 110 pounds. This item is for pick-up only. A fabulous piece for the desktop. This metal letter opener has a camel on the top with Jerusalem down the blade. Looks to be brass with nice raised and embossed designs. I recently purchased the contents of a local Connecticut home where the owner was a member of the Army Aviation Association. Within the estate was a huge collection of VINTAGE! Topping Co. Desk Models of different aircraft including many helicopters and planes. This auction is for the Lockheed AH-56 Cheyenne Helicopter. A small piece of the rotor is broken as shown in the photos. These pieces have not been cleaned and do show a buildup of dust in some of the photos. These pieces I'm offering this week are truely cool well made pieces. Hopefully the photos will tell it all. RARE Vintage 1956 USAF F-100 Super Sabre Jet Air Force Desk Display in Box
This is a RARE vintage 1956 Topping USAF F-100 Super Sabre Jet desk model display in the original box. This was a North American Aviation Defense Dept. promo. The model in the box is in 2 parts. The globe and the jet. The globe is made of plastic and is weighted so you can move the jet into different positions. There is a plastic, clear tube which is permanently stuck into the globe and it looks to me like it is coming out of Southern California. I don't know if it was intentional or by accident) Around the globe it reads"F-100 Super Sabre North American Aviation, Inc. the globe is dusty but I would rather leave it to the next owner to clean. that way there is no opportunity for me to break it! The second part of the display is the F-100 Super Sabre jet. It is also plastic with numerous stickers( U.S. Air Force, USAF, FW-121, etc. ... moreThere is a hole in the tail engine where the clear tube goes into. When it is put together the plane has the appearance of flying out of the globe. The plane is also dusty, but I will leave it to you to clean. As I said. This display comes in the original box. It also comes with the original cloth that went around the globe. You can tell that it is 58 years old! The box is in good condition. There is one spot on the top that has a small hole. It has some dirt spots also. The desk display is in good condition. As I noted before it is dusty but that is an easy fix. There are a couple of small spots where the stickers have come off. The"F" in USAF on the bottom of the jet has a tiny piece missing. On the right side of the plane. On the FW-121, the last"1" has a tiny piece missing. Please look at all the pictures. Small Vintage Wedgwood Desk or Bedside Clock - Clio Pattern
This is a rare and very lovely vintage small desk or bedside Wedgwood clock in the Clio pattern. It measures approximately 3-1/2" in height and 3-3/4" in width. The casing and clock are in excellent condition and the clock keeps perfect time. Unfortunately. However, when I was recently having a new battery installed by my jeweler, one of the tiny clip coverings(there are three attached to the circular ring which holds the clock in place) came off and couldn't be replaced. Luckily, my jeweler is very creative(he's helped me with numerous of my collection pieces over the years) and was able to fix the problem by wrapping a small rubber band around the ring. From what he told me, this is a well-known clocksmith's solution. It works perfectly and holds the clock securely in the opening. It's only visible if you look ... morethrough the aperture on the back(please refer to the last photograph) There is also something on the clock crystal in the first photograph which looks like a crack. This vntage schaeffer desk set is absolutely beautiful. The ink pen is the old school type and it rests on a slab of black onyx or quartz. that measures 7.5 inches wide and 4 inches wide and 1 inch tall. The underside has green felt and then the sheffer logo. There is a huge medallion with the united states navy seal. And underneath an area for a name which was never filled out so it could still be used for personal name. Overall it is in really beautiful condition. Antique School Desk Ward Ware Buffalo NY 1881 Vintage School Desk Youth Desk OLD
PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD AND VIEW ALL PICTURES! You are looking at a Couple of Primitive Antique School Desks. THEY ARE BEING SOLD BY THE PIECE. BUY BOTH FOR A SET OR JUST ONE WITH 1st CHOICE TO 1st BUYER. These are old late 1800s early 1900s. I believe the 2nd desk(pics 8-12) older than the 1st one pictured(pics 4-7) The 1st desk has more adjustment than the other and just appears to be newer with more adjustment options: entire desk and seat can be raised or lowered and seat has a pitch adjustment. It is cast 1881 but that is a patent date and I believe It is closer to early 1900s. The 2nd desk definitely appears older with 1881 stamp and I believe is late 1800s with the only adjustment is the pitch of the seat. Both have ink wells so they are on the older late 1800s to early 1900s. Seats fold up on both but the desk folds down on the newer ... moredesk. Both are made by the Ward Ware Co. Buffalo New York. I love the old patina of the wood. All castings of the maker and patent dates are cast into these pieces. Possibly they are real close to the same age but just different models. I like the fact that they both have decorative cast Iron frames although each one has It's own unique look. I believe they look good together. They both have a number cast in them, the newer has a"4" and the older has a"1" possibly row seating numbers. I would prefer LOCAL PICKUP but I will ship. It will be expensive and calculated by your location and they will be BROKEN DOWN COMPLETELY for shipping. There will not be any combined shipping since each desk will go into a separate box. Vintage Oak School Library Laboratory Desk and Stool
What you are looking at is a vintage high-top style desk with stool that belonged to my father. He acquired it as surplus from the Philadelphia School District(where he worked until he retired) But I don't know much more about it. It has a trademark from John E. Sjostrom Co. on the underside of the stool as well as the school district's tag. My guess is that it's from the 1940's or earlier, but have not found much information on it, so don't take my word for it. Being a used desk from a school, it has etchings and writing on it from students on the top of the desk as well as the stool, but it looks to still be in good shape considering it's likely age. I tried to capture this in the pictures. It looks like it may have had a drawer in it originally under the desk top, but we never had it. It's a cool piece overall, ... moreand I'd love to keep it, but I have no room for it. The desk stands approximately 41 inches tall, 28 inches wide and 25 inches deep, and the stool fits under it. Here is a neat antique oak wood perpetual desk calendar. It stands about 5 3/4" tall and the base is about 4 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep. I have seen some others like this online and apparently seem to have been mostly made in England maybe around the late 1880's- 1910. Vintage 1940s Northern Electric? Desk Phone
This auction is for what I think is a Northern Electric desk telephone. It has no maker's name on it that I can see. However I haven't opened up the bottom and looked inside. This phone has some wear to the cradle and even a small chip as seen in the picture. Dial numerals are clear and bright. Chrome fingerwheel turns and returns very smoothly. Handset cord is dry and starting to show cracking and has one split in the outer insulation that is shown. Wall cord is in better condition. This phone is UNTESTED as I have no way to hook this up so it's sold as is. Thanks for looking
