Vintage antique victorian early 1900s brooch with a stag. Oak leaf, and cross. Has the old style"C" clasp on the back. The pin is silver tone in color, and the cross has a gold gilding on it. I suspect this brooch depicts a"german" coat of arms of some type, or is a German hunting pin. In good used vintage condition with some darkening of the metal, and one antler is bent more than the other. The tip of the pin on the back is also bent up a bit. Measures 1 1/4" wide. Bishop Quarter Military Academy was located on the south side of Lake Street west of East Avenue. The building was built in 1892 and was built as the first high school in Oak Park. In 1917 a larger high school was just a block away on Scoville north of Lake Street and the old school was sold to the Archdiocese of Chicago to be used as a home for motherless boys and named after Bishop Quarter. It has no moth holes Only damage I find is the front portion of the oak leaves on the bill is darkened due to the fingers rubbing on it from taking the hat off and on. The oak leaves and acorn decoration is common in German Imperial military awards. The hinged pin and simple period'c' clasp are in perfect order on the brooch. The brooch carrys what I assume is a makers mark. An R in a G. The brooch measures 85mm in length.

Pictured is a very rare quartersawn oak McCaskey account register from an old country grocery store. This is not nor was it ever part of a roll top desk. This is a unique item that was made specifically for a store owner to keep track of customers bills and invoices. When you open up the tambour inside are two glass doors that lift up to reveal a storage area for additional receipts. Pencils, notes, cash etc. Underneath the glass doors are the original cutsomer account sheet of people who had opened up accounts at the store and their amounts owed and customer numbers are recorded. You can see that a lot of names were crossed off when their accounts were paid offbut you can still clearly see all of the names on the sheets.On the reverse side of the one glass door is a delinquent bill sheet, all original. Behind the glass doors are metal folders ... morethat open up and customer bills and recipts were kept for each customer. The wood is all quartersawn oak having a very smooth finish and rich color. All panels are raised panel oak.the top opens up very easily and operates smoothly. This item is just so unusual and unique. This is a very solid and sturdy 7 pocket oak and metal magazine or display rack that is made to be wall mounted. It can be used for a home office. School, waiting room or business display. The sides of the rack are made out of solid oak wood and the pockets are made out of red metal. This rack is in excellent nearly new condition. Vintage Century FC-2 Tube Tester & Manual / Date Charts / Oak Case
Up for auction is a Century Model FC-2 Vacuum Tube Tester with the original manual/ tube data chart booklet. Awesome estate sale find. This tester appears to be in good working condition- it powers up but I have not tested any tubes with it(do not possess any) As the photos show. The unit powers up and the face of the tester is clean with clear lettering and original knobs. The original manual includes the tube data charts. The oak case is still in good condition as well with a nice patina, the handle is in good condition and the latches and hinges all work. The drawing storage drawers have an interior dimension of 30-1/2" x 23-1/2" x 4" There are added metal divider clips in 3 of the drawers and 1 drawer has divider boards in the clips. This is to accommodate letter size paper storage and could all be easily removed. Both drawing storage sections have the front top finished panel that can be seen in front of the cap. The letter ... morefile drawers have an interior dimension 12" wide and 10-1/2" tall. One of the drawers is missing the metal rod and knob that would hold dividers and or papers into the drawer. For your consideration is a wonderful pair of BIC Venturi V52 Bookshelf speakers. These were part of a stereo system I designed for my parents many years ago when they moved from their home into a retirement condo. My mom recently passed on. My dad is preparing to move to a skilled care facility and we need to liquidate things he will no longer need. Please check my other auction as there is also listed a beautiful and RARE Rotel RV-555 Receiver that was part of this system. These speakers were bought new and remained in the same place their entire lives. There are no scuffs. Scratches or flaws. There was, as you can imagine, a lot of dust on them when I removed them from the home. These speakers have an amazing sound for their size. Built in the U.S.A. Vintage analog cable box from the 1970's. Oak Model L26 tunes 26 unencrypted analog channels from Channel numbers 2 thru 27. Back in the day channels above 13 were labeled as A thru N. Example Ch A=14. Ch B=15, Ch C=16.Ch N=27. This unit was tested on a modern cable system that still has a handful of analog channels and it still works! Modern cable boxes typically have output of Ch 3 or 4, this one has a Ch 13 output to tv. Has a chip on right front and some dings and wear on front. Power cord end was replaced as pictured but functions fine. Perfect for museum or collector! Due to age of this item. It is sold as is.
