Overall height is47.75" high with the writing desk top at a standard 30" height from the floor. It has a blind front oak panel where the center drawer once sat but for some reason the previous owner chose to do away with the drawer and make a blind front oak board. The original drawer guides are still intact and you could easily add a drawer box to the panel to have a top center drawer again. The finish is a medium dark honey oak with a great patina. Overall dimensions are 34 1/4" wide. 14" deep and 48" high. Inside dimensions of the desk are 32 1/2" wide, 12 1/2" high and 10 1/2- deep. This is the sweetest little desk ever! Measures 25" wide x 19" tall at back splash x 14 1/2" deep. The desk is dark oak with a leather top middle section. When next section is opened it has 2 black boards and when opened again has a drawer type well for books etc. The desk is sturdy and not rickety. Has a pencil groove along the top and we are including an old eraser. The old metal hinges still work well. Has sweet little mortised legs with curved feet. Nice details all over this desk. The chair seat swivels and the chair rolls around on casters. 16" wide x 19" deep x 35-1/2" high overall with a 19" seat height as you see it in the pictures. Looking underneath I can see that you can lower it down about 1-1/2" and you have about 6" total screw extending down below the spinning disk. You should be able to raise it 2 or 3 inches anyway. Seat height would then range between about 17-1/2 and maybe 22" You merely turn the disk to change the seat height. I lowered the seat to the minimum for shipment. The seat back has a black material tacked into place on the sides. I think it's old leather. But for all I know, it could be something else. Please look at the pictures and judge for yourself. Beautiful. I found a few issues which I think are not very noticable. There was a crack in the top of the upright back support timber that I had to glue(the crack extending below the slot was not glued) One nut securing that support was replaced with a more modern one at some point, there is a split in the wood surface on the back of the

Oak Rolltop C Desk Paneled Small English
Up for sale is a antique C roll top desk. It is paneled oak. It looks to still have it's original finish on it. This was shipped over from Europe years ago. The desk is 47 1/2inches wide,28 1/2inches deep and 43 1/4inches tall. The desk does show some damage and is dirty. It has some cigarette burns on the flat pull outs on the one side. It also has damage from the key being lost and someone using a screwdriver to pry it open. Some other minor dings and scratches. The desk is all taken apart so the new owner will need some screws to put it back together. I will be listing this item plus other oak piece from a local estate. The owner was a refinisher. 2 Vintage oak desk name plate holders master craftsman router stain
Up for auction is 2 old oak desk name plates that were made by a master carpenter in the 40's or 50's. They came from an old shutdown cabinet makers barn. They are beautifully stained and finished in some type of polyurethane. The measure 10 1/4" x 3 3/4" x 2 5/8" deep. Would make a beautiful gift for even the highest executive. ULTRA RARE GLOBE WERNICKE DESK WITH BOOKCASE AND DRAWER BASE IN SOLID QUARTERED OAK AND EXCEPTIONAL ORIGINAL CONDITION With the highest compliments we could possibly pay to any piece we are thrilled to offer you one of two hundred ever made by the Globe Wernicke Company slant lid desk with a model D-12 1/4" bookcase mid section and matched Globe Wernicke drawer base. Only a small handful of these ever survived. This model was owned by the Bethlehem Steel Company and used as a then start of the art portable office for various clerical employees duties when their jobs required their moving around the massive plants' building and grounds. The entire desk is in a mint model 299 original finish. Please excuse the shade on the piece in our pictures. The shadows cast by the shade did not appear so pronounced in the camera's picture ... morereview. In ingenuity of this desk's design by Globe Wernicke is in its portability. The front French flared legs are fastened by two braces on each side. They come right off and the desk breaks down into three pieces for ease of move. This is absolutely the only one of these we have ever seen much less sold. The last one even close that has surfaced was in England and in birch with a glaringly average refinishing job. Virtually the only place you can see this desk is in the old Globe Wernicke product catalogs. Undoubtedly& hopefully some made it to the caring hands of true Globe Wernicke products collectors and this model in fantastic original finish and this isn't the only one surviving. Solid wood, and Oak Veneer and it has a medium/dark stain finish color. This Secretary Desk is in good original condition, and it has antique Brass-finish hardware, see pictures. This charming Desk has dove-tailed drawers on the bottom section that are made out of solid wood on the inside. It has a drop-down desk on the middle. And it has a glass-front door with adjustable glass shelving inside of the top section, see pictures. This wonderful Secretary Desk has a classic mid-century Hollywood Regency design. And it has interesting drawers on the inside of the middle section, see pictures. The compact drop-down Desk folds up. WHEN A NEW SCHOOL HOUSE WAS BUILT TO ACCOMODATE A GROWING POPULATION. BOTH THE CHAIR AND DESK ADJUST BOTH UP AND DOWN TO SEAT KIDS FROM 1ST TO 6TH GRADE. So called for the ornately carved"dolphin" feet. THIS IS A VERY LARGE SIZE for this style. Making it suitable for use as a dining or kitchen table and wonderfully versatile for use in today's home! The normal size for a“dolphin table” is much smaller. And they are typically considered as a LIBRARY TABLE or"bureau plat" desk. In ten years, this is the first one we’ve found large enough to put four chairs under! Incredible detailed carving. Captivating features, ornately done ... morerelief carved lion masks. Canted corners, Gothic drop finials& arches, Renaissance flair& mythical sea creature feet~ ~CARVED ON ALL SIDES~ ~SOLID OAK WITH A dark oak finish that beautifully'shows off' the carving details~ This is a FRENCH bureau plat; you can see the differences from an English table in the drop finials as well as the“gadrooning” or carved swirl designs around the entire apron. ~c1870~ Measurements: 30"H x 55" x 39 ½” That’s 4 ft. 7 inches by 3 ft. 3.5 inches.
