Antique Mission Oak Library Desk I can find no markings on this except a#17 in pencil in the drawer slide and a# 17 in pencil in the drawer. I assume they did this so they would know which drawer went with which desk, and does not allude to who made the desk. I got this from my wife's uncles estate. He was 96 when he passed and he got this desk from his parents estate in Spokane Wa. when they passed. It is made from solid oak and on the ends of the top board you can see that the top is tongue and grooved. Very hard to show in the pictures. I don't know tiger oak from quarter sawn oak so you be the judge. There is some what appears to be grey paint on one corner of the top. please see pictures. Someone drove 2 finish nails about 2' long into the top of one of the legs. One leg has a chip out of it at the bottom about the size of ... morea quarter and another leg has a little grey paint at the bottom of one side. See pictures. I have made no attempt to repair. Clean or restore the finish on this desk, it is in the condition it was given me in. All in all this desk is in great vintage condition given its age. Top of desk 36 1/2" wide x 24 1/2" deep and the desk top is 29 1/2" above the floor. Will ship via Greyhound Bus to a station of your choice for you to pick up. Antique vintage library desk file 7 drawer cabinet industrial apothecary
Up for auction to U.S. customers only is a very nice old 7 drawer oak cabinet. It measures 13 inches tall x 11-1/2 inches wide and 9 inches deep. I believe this was originally part of a desk. Probably a rolltop, and fitted into a corner of the desk surface; all but two sides were oak, one side is pine and a second side, also probably unfinished pine, has had oak plywood added. There are some scratches and, as the pictures show, one of the drawer pulls is unlike the others, created using a brass card holder and knob(works fine, but replacement pulls can be purchased on ebay) What's interesting about the cabinet is that it can be turned upside down and the drawers will still fit and work fine- just depends on whether you want the largest drawers on top or on the bottom(see pictures) The large drawers are 1-1/2 inches high; the small drawers ... more4 inches wide and 3 inches high(note they are fashioned like scoops) and the openings that hold envelopes are 1 inch wide by 6 inches tall. There are also a few scratches but overall the finish is in really nice condition. A really nice, practical and handy storage file for all that loose stuff around the house. Beautiful Replogle 10" Library globe, lighted with walnut desk stand
Here is the very fine Replogle 10" Library world globe. Lighted and in the wooden stand that you see. Dating from about 1950, it is in remarkably good condition with solid gores over glass, only the most minor dings to the surface, and just a few bits where the interior light comes through a seam. The dating is confirmed by the presence of Israel, West and East Pakistan, Indochina, Korea as a single country, and all of the colonial names of the African states. The globe features a complete heavy brass meridian, a time dial at the north pole, and the oceans shown in pea green. The walnut stand is also excellent. Very solid with four turned legs and stretchers. It measures about 13" in diameter, while with the globe in place, measures about 14" H. The globe weighs about 7 lbs. unpacked. This is an antique Solid oak mission desk/ library table that I found up in New Hampshire in 1983 and had it restored back then. It is in very good condition. All brass construction with iron base weight. Original cloth covered wiring and Bakelite electrical plug. All adjusting screws move freely and lamp adjusts easily. Patent date of 7-10-17 on top adjustment wing nut. Marked“EMERALITE 8734-G” on underside of base. As well as on green enameled manufacturer's plate on the frame. We found this wood photo album at an estate sale; no information on age or origin was available. It is constructed of cherry finished wood. Carved along edges and on one side accented with gold. The book cover on the right has a gilded fleur-de-lis in relief and braided accents on edges. This cover and plastic inserts inside are drilled to fit through two antiqued bronze posts/rings. Includes sleeves for forty 4" X 6" photos(20 double-sided sleeves) bottom is lined with black velvet. Overall measurements: 11" X 7" X 1-1/4" Fairly heavy CONDITION: previously owned. Sleeves appear unused. Wood has some rubbing here/there with some spots and uneven finish however it's possible this piece was intentionally'distressed'

The drawers at each side open out at a slant and though I'm not sure what was the original use for them. They just happen to be the perfect size for CD's/DVD's for your computer software! There are two drawers in the middle. The lower of these is a regular drawer, but the upper drawer has a writing surface that tilts up with hidden storage space beneath it.
