Selling this beautiful. Old 2-Tier Wood In Out Box Deep colored wood( I believe to be Mahogany) w/ Brass risers Top bin Out. Bottom bin In Very cool piece for a vintage style office! Very early look to this one. These are hard to find! Wood is a high quality. Still looks fantastic. There is a brand name stamped at the base of the organizer. But I cannot make it out. Condition is very good. Does have patina. But I think that's what makes this piece stand out. Wood looks great, but it does have a few scratches/ nicks. Typical and expected scratching and dings here and there but nothing detracting, also discoloration and scratching inside drawers. All"issues" expected for age. This is a fine specimen of antique Chinese export portable writing table used to carry miscellaneous items such as papers and writing instruments including pens and ink bottles. It has a large brass name plate engraved"MJ" on the center of the lid with matching brass straps and corners for reinforcement. Each side has fold out brass handles. The keyhole is surrounded by a large rectangular brass plate. It still as the ORIGINAL key which can lock and unlock the desk. Inside is a burgundy leather writing surface in excellent condition for its age that lifts up to reveal considerable storage ... morespace. You don't see them like this anymore. This must have taken months to complete. It was passed down for generations to a friend and he gave it to me for helping him move. UNBELIEVEABLE WORK. I have never seen one this nice before. Please notice that due to being over a 200 hundred years old it does show signs of wear and cracking in places. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! The lap desk is probably English made. But that is just a guess, you be the judge. F or your consideration is this beautiful antique lap desk in very nice condition. The wood is most likely walnut and it has a great luster to it. What makes this piece really unique is the secret slide drawer compartment at the bottom of the case. It can be opened by opening the case and then taking the brass rod out of the left side of the box that"locks" it in place(rod with it needs to have end taken off) My guess is this piece dates to the mid to late 1800s. You be the judge before ... morebuying. This lap desk is beautiful with only small surface scratches. The corners are seamed together. A slice of veneer alongside the secret drawer is missing. There are a number of veneer pieces that are loose and come with the case to be put back in to place. Very nice wood and graining. The inside folding pieces are still all there as well. The hinges are all there. The lock and latch are not with the case. The top of the inside of the desk has a green felt fabric on one side that is pretty worn and is missing on the other side. The desk has two brass handles to carry it by on the sides that are still in place. Top of the case shows some splitting of the wood from drying out on the right side. Rest of case looks pretty good. There was a knot in the wood in the back where the knot fell out sometime after the case was made. Chip out of the wood on the front right side just before the brass support piece. There was probably an insert of bone or brass on top of case where a piece of wood is now set in that place. The brass corner and support pieces on this case are all in place. Antique Cast Iron and Wood School Desk, (2 desks, 3 seats) in 2 pieces-vintage
Antique/ Vintage School Desks Wood seats and desk top with metal sides as seen in pictures. This are roughly 100 years old and have been in my family for over 50 years. They came from a Racine or Kenosha. Wisconsin school. The desks come in two parts. One part is two desks with two chairs. The under shelf of one of the desks is missing. Second part is a folding chair. All three chairs fold up. The height is roughly 28" at the highest point. Desks are about 21" wide and length is about 58" long with seat folded. PICK UP ONLY! I donated my truck to charity so I can't deliver this item. I'm about 75 miles north of NYC in the beautiful Hudson Valley.

Very nice Windsor style chair. Bent wood back. Antique hand-hewn thick wood plank as the seat. I'd guess this old chair is from about the end of the 1800s. It is in really nice condition. All original. American Windsor side chair. It has an old white paint. The original color seems to be a dark brown. The frame of the chair is solid and sturdy. It has turned spindles on the back. And lesser amount on the legs and front rung. The size of the chair is 20" wide. Total of 17" deep, 33" tall. A great chair for a desk. Kitchen, side chair or kids. It can be an interesting or decorative piece for the home. Wood does have some knicks or light scratches. Please note that antiques are not new and may have some signs of age and use. Rabbet style joints. The wood is thick and this is a very sturdy. Solid desk. It is stamped 2/3/1944 as the manufacture date. Two of the drawers have built in wooden organizers. Reclaimed Wood Pine End Table Desk on Antique Sewing Machine Base
This hand crafted tabletop is made from 200 year old southern yellow pine milled from a reclaimed carrying beam from a 1800's barn. The original beam was 12 x 15 inches. The boards for this top are 1 inch thick and top is finished with classic breadboard ends. The boards are glued and biscuited. The breadboard ends are pinned in the center and free on the ends to allow for expansion and contraction due to moisture. The grain and colors are incredible. The boards are stained with a light oak colored stain and finished with Antique Flat polyeurethane. It is mounted to an early 1900's antique sewing machine base from a maker in Maine. Antique adjustable child's Desk and Chair made by Chandler Co. of Boston Massachusetts- wood with cast iron legs- chair leg marked with patent dates Nov 14. 1893 and June 9, 1893. This desk and chair set needs restoration. Both the desk and the chair indicate they are adjustable on cast iron bases. The desk is suppose to adjusts and the seat can adjust as well- though this old antique school desk and chair does need refurbishing. The desk has slates of loose wood on top and bottom, and one leg of desk is not affixed to bottom. It's possible that one leg on desk will be removed for shipping. Though this desk set has been in storage for many year. The bent wood chair is in solid condition- Both desk and chair do show age with scratches, scuffs, nicks and minor dings and digs. A very fine. Antique 19th Century Burled Walnut Slope or Lap Desk with original inkwell and two secret compartments. Closed. Box measures 6 1/8"H x 13 5/8"W x 9 1/8"D. Opened. Box measures 1 1/2"4 1/2"H x 13 5/8"W x 18 1/2"D. Leather writing surface measures 13" x 10 1/2" One side of the writing surface is spring-loaded for opening. It appears to have been repaired at some point. top can be opened with a small screwdriver inserted and sliding sideways from left to right. The second side opens easily with a fingernail. Revealing a second wood panel. This second panel is removable by pulling up the small side wall that houses the inkwell. Miniature Antique Style Wood and Wire School Desk Doll Stand
Well made. Sturdy miniature antique style school desk made of wood and metal. It is in very good condition with a few very small flaws made during the manufacturing process. Please see photos of this! These are very minor and do not detract at all. Measures approx. 5" tall. 7 1/4 long, and 3 1/2" wide. Makes a nice decoration by itself or with a doll or other items.
