Junk Drawer Estate Find Antique French Brass Marble Ormulos Portico Mantle Clock
This is a very beautiful South Georgia Estate Find. It is French Marble and Brass and very decorative. Yet still has a classic look. I do not know if this tem works or not but, it did seem to be running on the mantle when we bought it. No one at the estate could find the key for it. It is 14" in height to the top of the birds. 9" across the widest part of the base. The clock face is 3 1/2" in diameter. I could find no maker's name or identification except E.P. 7092 on the inner rim, and on the back of the works are 7092 64.One column does seem to have a crack in it but is still tight and doesn't shift. One screw has been replaced in the back casing. Other than that, and needing a good cleaning, it seems to be in great condition. Please view all pics carefully BEFORE bidding. Fine vintage and antique Goldscheider Figural clock. This symbolist theme terracotta clock is from Friedrich Goldscheider from Vienna. Austria in the late 19th century. It is in the Art Nouveau or Secessionist style. The inscription under the clock reads AMICITIA-VINCIT HORAS(Loosely translated: Love Conquers Time) There are some discolorations and minor paint losses. But it is generally in very good condition. We do not have the back plate for the clock. The mechanism can be wound but we do not know if it works. We are looking for a pendulum. For sale is an antique purple enameled brass shelf/ mantle clock made in Austria with a Swiss made clock. Brass stamped"Made in Austria" on the back. Clock face labeled"Swiss Made" on the bottom of the clock face. Decorated with deep red crystals on the side and flowers in the enamel. Measures about 4-1/2" tall x 4-1/4" wide x 2-5/8" deep and weighs 1 lb- 0.2 oz. Very nice detailed antique clock. I wound the clock but it does not appear to function but will still make a very nice decoration. The crystals/ glass on the sides of the clock have a bit of damage including chips and a crack. This is a beautiful oil painting that was created by the original artists to be the beautiful clock that you see. I have had this clock for 20 years and it is 10 x 12 in size. Antique / Vintage Regula Cuckoo Clock West Germany For Parts or Restoration
Here is a an old Regula cuckoo clock for parts or restoration. Not sure of what year it was made. It has broken and missing pieces. There are cracks, and dust, rust on the chains. Does have the weights, from bottom of clock housing to peak is about 7 inches, about 4 3/4 inches across. I do not know very much about clocks, had one in Bulgaria, thought I could fix this one, but have realized this is above my skill level. Hopefully someone else can fix it. Antique Chiming clock from Germany Junghans or Urgos?
Antique clock made in Germany. The symbols and the face of the clock.And the shape are similar to those of Junghan, but there is a sticker on the back of the clock that's labeled Urgos. I am not sure who the maker is. The key to this clock is missing so I have not tested out its chime. The clock itself is in good condition. There are a few small chips out of the wood on the bottom left middle and corner, and also a small white pin point underneath the door latch. This is very fine and original French 19 th century repeating carriage clock by eminent maker Alfred Drocourt of Paris. France circa 1880. It is in working condition and comes with the original key. It has an 8 day striking and repeating movement with the original platform lever escapement. There is an enamel dial with Roman numerals which is set within a well and engraved around the dial. There is substantial gilt brass case with reeded columns and plain capitals. It is 8 inches tall including handle that lifts or flattens. The clock bears the trademark of Drocourt between the plates of the movement. This clock is numbered 26092. And it has glass on the top and 3 sides so that you can see the clock works. The stand is 6 inches tall by 4.5 inches wide at the bottom and has a third rigid leg in the rear. This late 1800's/ early 1900's French piece is in excellent condition with the brass needing a little cleaining. In the center of the display stand is a coral colored felt disk that is held in place by two thin bendable brass tabs in the rear of the display to protect the watch from any damage. Just below the two kissing cherubs is a hook on which to hook the pocket watch for viewing. You won't find a pocket watch display stand in better condition. Antique Bronze Gilt Clock Case No Movement French Tower Shelf Mantle
Up for auction is a beautiful case no matter what movement you slide in here! This piece(mind you I am NOT an expert) has a very European look. So I am guessing French. Please take a second(or 20) to look at the designs/patterns and come to your own conclusion. There are 2 stamps inside across from each other. Both markings are the same, it almost looks like a cup or Paul with an S on it. Other than that I have not a clue. But it is beautiful. And it is HEAVY! Front feet are 5 1/4" long Back feet are 3 1/4" long Large ornament is 8 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" tall Small ornament is 5 1/8" wide x 2 1/2" tall Finial is 2 1/4" tall Not for sure what the last piece is called. Who are very light sleepers or who did not wish to be disturbed in a certain area of the home or office, perhaps. You see this automatically on the porcelain face with the one turning. It was also made without a glass bezel. This is an old clock.not sure how old, but very old. The face and all parts of clock are intact, NO chips, etc. It is signed on the bottom in pencil(some past owner from the 19c) with a name. It is written in the old script style of writing of that era. Maybe you are better at translating than I. It has French original works and is a great time keeper. No problems at all. My husband's friend is a clock restorer and it has been cleaned and maintained. No married ... morepieces or such. Both the works and the penduleum have same numbers, so if you are a clock expert, you can look it up with probably some resource book that is out of edition. The clock measures 12" high. 9 1/2" wide and 4 1/4" deep. The gilt seems to be all original as well and the lady is probably one of the French royalty. The French were famous for that. The white stone is onyx which I understand is a type of marble. Whatever.it is very lovely with no chips. It sits on 4 little bun feet done in stone as well. It is adourned with more gilt decorations. All intact. Shipping is $39 due to weight and extra packing. That includes insurance. Ship fees have skyrocketed.
