Hi. You are looking at beautiful antique wall clock. This clock measures 70 cm tall and has a very nice wooden oak case. The clock needs a key to wind up which comes with it. It needs winding every 8 days. The clock has a large circle shaped pendulum inside the case. The sound of this clock is quite loud but magnificent. A deep and warm Westminster bell sound. I could not detect a maker's mark on this clock. Also I noticed that the number 2, 3 and 4 on the clockface have been touched up with black paint. For this reason I have put a low reserve on this clock. The clock will be packed properly so it arrives safely at your home. Do know that the clock might need some adjusting after shipping. Antique Sunburst Starburst French Wall Clock Gilt Wood Frame
This is a great antique clock dating from approx. 1900. I believe the origin to be France. The clock frame is a sunburst design constructed of gilt wood. The clock face is metal and enameled. There is a crack in the enamel of the face between the 9 and 10. The frame itself is in very good condition. There are 2 pieces of the starburst missing. 7 pieces are not attached but I have 5 of them so 2 spears would have to be reconstructed. At some point. The movement was removed and replace with a battery operated movement. Please see pics. Overall, I would classify this as very good condition. It will make an impressive statement in any decor. Ingraham& Co. Bristol. Conn. and the movement is marked E. Ingraham Co. Pat'd Oct. 8, 78 Nov. 11, 79. This clock is 24 in. high, 16 in. wide and 5 in. deep. It runs and keeps good time. Old clocks sometimes need a small amount of adjusting after shipping. It gongs only on the hour. The original key is included and marked E. Ingraham& Co. Bristol, Conn. Antique Mantel Clock This auction is for a really nice and very well made antique. 1800s shelf or mantel clock. The clock has the original porcelain dial that’s marked Raingo Frerea Aaria, which is a famous French clockmaker. The dial does have some hairline crow’s feet. The case is made of very heavy solid brass and on the front it has a neat image of a cherub in a chariot and griffons at the very bottom. All four sides have thick beveled glass panels and the front and back door open. The clock movement has been replaced by a battery movement but otherwise the clock is old and original– probably from around the 1870s. Hi, You are looking at beautiful Gustav Becker wall clock. This clock measures 79 cm tall and 35 cm wide and has a very nice wooden oak case. The clock needs a key to wind up which comes with it. It needs winding every 8 days. The clock has a large circle shaped pendulum inside the case. The sound of this clock is quite loud but magnificent. A deep and warm bell sound. On the clockface there is the maker's mark GB. This clock is antique since the brand was created in 1899. And in 1930 it merged with Junghans When the Second World War ended, the company stopped producing clocks, and today, Gustav Becker clocks are no longer produced. Thanks for your time. Wonderfully Rare Carved German Black Forest Surrer Clock not Cuckoo or Trumpeter
Wonderfully Rare Carved Black Forest Surrer Clock Surrer Clock From The Black Forest in Germany circa 1850. Also know as a Whizzing clock due to the noise the movement makes when striking. These clocks have a Grande Sonnerie chime(strikes the quarter hours and then counts the hour every fifteen minutes) but instead of a 3 train movement it has only 2. So the two functions are performed by the one weight. The whizzing sound comes from the change over. For example, at say 5.15 the clock will strike once on a gong for the quarter hour, followed by five strikes of another gong for the hour. at 5.30 there would be two strikes for the half hour and then count the hour and so on. This clock is especially rare as it features an alarm complication as well. It also has a repeater function. With a pull of a small string it will recount the last strike ... moreso you can tell what time it is. Now the reason this particular clock is so very special is that it is fully carved. As most of these clocks featured Sheild fronts. Have a good look at the pics to see the detail of the carving. The dial is painted tin with porcelain cartoushe numbers. The hands are original to the clock as well. There are a few nibbles to the carving but nothing that is noticeable. I do not think the weights are original, the pendle looks correct but I will wait to get conformation of this soon. This clock is 65cm high. The clock is currently at my German Master Clock Maker getting a full overhaul. Please allow 6 weeks to complete. This is a rare complicated clock that looks stunning up on the wall. For auction is this beautiful Antique Japy Freres French Mantle Clock. The base is White Marble Onyx. This clock depicts a classical figure. A gentleman in period dress with a mandolin. The clock itself is set in a gilt case with a white porcelain dial. The base has lovely decorations with swag chains and patterns. It is very heavy. The movement is stamped"Japy Freres& Cie Grd Med. D'Honneur" means it(the movement) was made some time after the company(Japy Freres/Japy Brothers) won the Grand Medal of Honor(which they did at the Paris exhibition in 1855) they also won a medal in 1867. It shows they were awarded a medal at the 1855 Paris Exposition. It means that Japy Freres won an award in 1855 allowing them to display the award on their movements until the time a nother award might be won at a future exposition. Such as ... morethe 1867 Paris Exposition. I cannot see any date on the stamp. The movement also has the number 5488 stamped on it. I got this at an Estate Auction. It did not come with the key but has the bell and pendulum. I started the pendulum and the clock ran for about 30 minutes. It's in good condition as you can see and all the the works appear to be there. Antique New Haven Cast Iron Bronze Finish Victorian Mantle/Shelf Clock
Take a close look at the photos of this very old and marvelously decorated clock. It is 4” tall 5” wide and 2” deep. So it’s probably more of a shelf clock than a mantle clock. The face of the clock is 2” in diameter. It has a unique shape and is wonderfully decorated with Victorian-style relief scenes. It has a beautiful bronze patina. The bottom of the clock has four small feet with a cobblestone finish. It has“JB 1374” stamped on the bottom. I don’t know what this is. The clock does run. But only intermittently.
