From what I could find on the Supreme Beverages company they distribute beer& non alcoholic beverages. I find where they are currently located in Pittsburgh but do not find them in Cleveland anymore. It measures 17" L 10" H x10 1/2" W. Notice on both long sides that there is an opening where they did not take wood to bottom of crate. I am not sure why they made crate that way but found it interesting. The lettering is faded in some areas and there is slight damage to bottom of crate. Nice Clicquot Club wooden soda box. This one marked. Long Island, with a"40" inside a circle printed on front. I'm guessing but I think that's the date of this box. Certainly the print style and design look like forties. Really nice condition, note the interlaced corners which have a rod or pin running down from the top to hold those corners together. Don't make them like that anymore! Nice for your collection. Measures 16" long, 9" tall, 10 1/2" wide.

Wooden egg crate, marked Baltimore Purity Co. circa 20's-30's
Here is a humpty dumpty egg crate. Wooden with carriers for 72 eggs. This is an item from the late 20's early 30's, there is some damage to the cartons from mice, that chewd through the botttom and sides, I tried to take good enough pictures to show that. The wood is old and worn, but intact with a lid. The partial sticker on the top is from the Purity Creamery in Baltimore, MD. from W Lexington ST. The box measures 13 1/4 inchs square x 7 1/4 inchs tall. The inside dividers feature old worn cardboard with dividers and hold 36 eggs each. The lid only comes off when you take the metal hooks on the side rims and turn them, so you can lift the bar up and slide the lid out, it is kinda like a puzzle, this is more of a display item. Two years after Schlitz married Krug's widow, he changed the name of the brewery to the Jos. Schlitz Brewing Co. The company began to succeed after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, when Schlitz donated thousands of barrels of beer to that city, which had lost most of its breweries. Vintage Wooden Vernors Crate. Detroit, Michigan. Nice!
This is a nice crate. Vernors. Detroit. Mich. It has minor warping on one side, but the wood isnt all rotted out like most of these I find. Its a solid old crate. I dont know who put the band from one end to the other, but it looks to me to be the exact same banding used on the ends when these are built. It looks like someone added that and small peices of wood on the inside corners, maybe someone did that at the factory where these were made to carry tools around or something. It wouldnt take much to remove these items if you want to. I figured I would leave that up to the winning bidder. Maybe someone can use the banding to repair another crate? The banding on the ends is in nice shape also, aside from one small break. Overall this thing is really nice. I typically see these busted up and/or rotted out with rusty banding. I am putting up for sale this A ntique 1/2 Barrel Wooden Cranberry Box/ Crate with the initials N. E. C. S. Co. New England Cranberry Sales Co. printed on each end of the box in black ink or paint. Most DO NOT read"1946" but those that do will go to the 1st buyers. These types of boxes were used to hold 1/2 of a barrel(50 pounds) of freshly picked cranberries during harvest season back in the day. This same size and type of box is still used to this day although some people perfer to use burlap bags when dry picking their cranberries because it's less labor intensive. They measures about 18" long x 13 3/4" wide x 12" tall OD& 15 1/2" x 13 1/8" x 11 1/4" ID. They weigh about 9 pounds. The boxes pictured on this listing is just 2 examples of the different shade in color. These were used as models ... morefor the listing and may not be the purchased boxes that you will receive but all are similar in size. Type, age, wording and condition. This box is in good& solid condition considering its age. But has some nicks. Chips, scrapes& it's weathered from age-all of which can be seen in the pictures. Vintage Wooden Milk Crate Van Alstine Farm Dairy 1144 I purchased this in Milwaukee. Wisconsin many years ago. It is wood and galvanized steel with an interesting crisscross wire interior. The steel post on corners have been bent down. See photos. I am not sure where this farm is located. Greendale. WI comes to mind when I think back to when I bought it. Of course that could be very wrong. I packaged it with out measuring so the following measurements are just an estimate. 14" x 12" x 19" and it is very heavy.
