The cup is marked with the Nortake mark, while the saucer is not. The cup measures 3 3/4 inches across and stands 2 inches tall. While the saucer is 5 1/2 inches across. When the cup is sitting in the saucer the entire set stands 2 1/2 inches high. There are no cracks, chips, or scratches that can be visually seen on this beautiful set. The iridescence on this set is beautiful. Please be sure to check the photos as they are considered to be a part of the overall description and do show the iridescence somewhat. Tea cups approximately 2-1/4" tall and Rice Bowls 2" deep and 4" in diameter.Each piece has small translucent ovals cut in them to match design on outside causing a fascinating effect. Arita Vintage Japanese Tea Set Includes teapot with lid and bamboo handle. 5 cups, and wooden box with cover. Beautiful butterflies adorn the white porcelain. Butterflies are turquoise. Red, purple, and gold accented. Pieces are signed by artist(can't quite understand the name) Teapot measures approximately 4" tall x 6 1/2" wide. And cups are 2" tall x 3 3/4" diameter. Set comes in a wooden box. All pieces are in good condition- there is a crazing crack on one of the cups. For 15 generations it has been the title and seal used by a lineage of potters whose work formed the central tradition in Japan. Up for bid is a great little Tin Tea Set from Ohio Art. This set contains 2 Tea cups. 2 Saucers and a Matching Toaster. The Leaf Pattern is a great example of mid century design. The graphics are, for the most part, in very good condition. The cups look good, but have a few tiny spots where there has been a scratch and it has rusted a tiny bit. The saucers look good on top, but have rust spots on the bottom. The toaster's graphic are in mostly good condition. There are some scratches and other surface wear. The unpainted metal that runs along the sides and top has a lot of rust. The lever for the toaster will go down. It can manually be pushed back up. T hey are from the same porcelain mold and have red. Blue and green flowers on the cups and saucers. Scallop shaped saucers are 2 1/2" diameter, cups 1 1/2" diameter and 1 1/2" tall. One pair's cup does not exactly match saucer which can be noticed in photo. They are stamped with the red"Japan" mark. Quality of these pieces when made was not too great, consequently are rough around the edges on the saucers. One saucer chipped and a tiny chip on one cup.
