Vintage boudoir lamps mid century pink and gold "tuxedo"
These are a pair of Mid Century Pink and Gold"Tuxedo" Boudoir lamps. I call them that because they look like they have tuxedos on. They are pink and gold. Stand 12 1/2" to the tops of the sockets. I have rewired them and added harp bases to them. They did not have any previously. The wiring was pretty rough when they came in. You can add a harp of any height to fit your size and shade(s) These did not come with the original shades. There is wear around the top rim where the ceramic is rough. Not exactly chips, but they are rough to the touch in some places. These are a nice pair of lamps that would make a nice fit to a retro bedroom. Thanks for looking and Happy bidding. (2) Vintage Trench Art Lamps made from M43 81mm Mortar Rounds on Piston Base
Here is your chance to pick up(2) trench art lamps made in the 1940's. The are made from(2) M43 81 MM Mortar Shells and the bases are pistons from the same time period. These are REAL Mortar Rounds that were made safe and used to make these lamps. The rounds have been chromed to match the piston base. I cannot identify the pistons but they are probably from a military vehicle from the 1940's and are in good shape. Both lamps work and both are in great shape. These were made really well and I have provided pictures showing the holes made for the electrical cord as well as the vintage power cord end. The mortar rounds are marked Lot 15- 47- 3FA 81 MM M43 EDB and were roll marked as they did in the 40's. The lamps are 15 inches tall and the piston base is 6 inches wide. Here is a little information on the M43 81MM Mortar: The first ... moreattempt to obtain more efficient trench mortar ammunition was with the development of the 75-mm smooth bore mortar in which the old 75-mm French type shell was modified by tapering the shell from the bourrelet back to the base. And fitting an aluminum fin in the base of the shell. The round was propelled by means of an ignition cartridge inserted in a short cartridge case, and with propelling increments inserted between the blades of the fin. The stability of the round was not satisfactory, and the development was abandoned. A streamlined projectile with fin assembly was then designed for the 3-inch trench mortar with poor results. Several attempts were made with shell of different contours, but proved unsatisfactory because proper stability was not obtained. After World War I. There was an early trend away from the low powered, muzzle-loading Stokes mortar to breech and rifled mortars which were mounted on wheels. The muzzle velocity, the range, and the weight increased, but in so doing, the effectiveness of the trench mortar was decreased in that it lost its simplicity. You are bidding on a pair of antique nautical lanterns from Triplex. Pat 1910. This pair of boat lamps has one red and one rare BLUE lens. They are in very good condition. With some little issues. The glass is perfect. The housings themselves appear to maybe have been repainted black at some point. The fuel tanks are missing, as you can see they are basically just the housings. We shone a flashlight underneath them to show how lovely and rich the blue and red lenses glow. Nice for a restoration project, or even just for nautical décor. Vintage Orange Spaghetti Spun Lucite Tables Lamps, w/ Brass Hardware-Set of Two
This matching pair of 1960's bright orange'spaghetti' spum lucite lamps are something to behold and are very hard to find. These lamps are 3-way lamps. With a'nightlight' bulb inside the globe that can either be off or turned with the bulb on top, or by itself, which is very cool(one of the switches has to be'coaxed with' a little for light to stay on) They have brushed brass bases, necks and hardware which is free of any noticable scratches or dents, although the lacquer coating has'pitted' and the brass in those spots has a dark patina(see pic's) The spaghetti glabes, which are 12" in diameter, are in pristine condition with no appearant damage. These probably had some felt under the base but that has been removed and the finial screws(for shades) are missing. All in all, these are couple of ... morejewels. They measure35" tall. Vintage Goose neck floor lamp with red shades and two lights. It has a three way switch where the left lamp will be lit. Then off and the right lamp lit or both can be lit at the same time. This came out of an estate sale, so I am not certain but it appears to be the original cord. The lamp is in very good condition, the lights work and the shades have no cracks or chips on them. The lamp stands 50" tall from floor to top of switch, the goose necks are 18 1/2" long, and the shades are 8" tall and 5 1/4" at the base. There are a few pit marks and scratches on the pole and pit marks on the basr, but niether take away from the overall apperance on the lamp. It will ship to your zone or foreign contry at 22 lbs. 1 Vintage Small Hula Dancer Skirt for Hula Dancer Motion Lamps This has to be a very rare find! It is a nice. Original vintage single small green band skirt for the dancer on a Hula Dancer lamp. The person had been in production of the hula lamps long ago. Item measures 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" There is minimal surface, corner and edge wear: there may be some very slight discoloration on some skirts and some may have thin cracks on the plastic holding buttons on back side. When snapped together the diameter of the waist is about 2" The length of the skirt is 4 1/2" from top of band to end of strands. I bought this many years ago as part of a large lot and if you have interest in a larger purchase let me know. These would make a great addition to any collection. I am sure they will need to be rewired as the orignal wires are still intact and for safety they should be done. I do think it will be very easy fix though. Both the on off switches seems to turn and click when they are suppose to. I have taken lots of pictures for you to see the exact condition of them. This is a VERY old set and are not reproductions. They are 7 1/2" from the top of the light bulb to the top of the part that hangs on the wall and 4 1/4" across. This is a really wonderful vintage set that I am sure you will be thrilled with. Set of Vintage 1930's-1940's Hurricane Lamps These are beautiful old lamps perfect for your collection! They are 12" tall with the red shades on. The shades measure 3 1/2" at their widest. The bases are glass and metal. The metal piece which holds the shade seems to be pressed tin. They are in excellent condition. There is a little bit of discoloration on the metal between the layers of glass. Both of these hurricane lamps were rewired by an antique professional in 2010. Vintage Hollywood Regency Pair (2) Neoclassical Column Brass & Marble Lamps
NO E-CHECKS PLEASE. A beautiful pair if column lamps in very good as found as shown condition. Both blink on and off and will need new sockets. No chips of cracks on the marble. The metal parts appear to be brass but i am not certain. A magnet is not attracted to these. The harps on these do not match. Each is 29 1/2" tall to the top of the harp and 23 1/2" tall to the top of the socket. The base is 5" X 5" and each weighs 10 pounds. See photos and check out the other old lamps i have listed. As you can see. Cosmetically they are quite simply fabulous. Both have a crystal marble finial. And stand 34" to the top of the finial. The bases are so intricately cut. It creates a myriad of light and rainbow patterns, as do the rest of the lamps. A few of the 8" long crystal prisms have little nicks at the point. And one has been repaired with crystal glue as it broke at the point marked(see picture) But this is very hard to see, after it was repaired. I hard to look hard to see which one it was. Pair of Beck-Iden Vintage Acetylene Lamps
You are bidding on TWO Beck-Iden Vintage Acetylene Lamps. The patent numbers-which you can see on the picture of the bottom-dates these from 1901 to 1905. They were used primarily as indoor lamps. One of the lamps has all the complete parts. But the other is missing the lock ring on the burner and the top section that locks to the bottom. They have a few dings on them, that you can see in the pictures. I have not tested these out as I don't have the Acetylene for them. So they are sold AS IS. Vintage Mid Century Italian Cherub Angel Lamps Marble Bases Shabby Chic
This auction is for one lamp. The other I will send to you free as a gift. It is just as beautiful as the other and was working just fine until I plugged it in to take photos. It is probably a simple fix and when I was looking over the lamp probably*jiggled* something out of place. Anyway, this lamp is free and in no way should reflect my feedback. Should you not want this lamp, please, let me know. The other works great and both cords are in un-frayed condition. The lamps are porcelain and feature a delightful scene of frolicking cherubs. The lamp consists of three porcelain pieces held together with pretty decorative brass hardware. At some point in time, yet still mid century, real Italian marble bases were added and the lamps rewired. The porcelain is in very good condition with no breakage. Measures approx. 26" tall.
