Rare Vintage 1950’s Abstract Lamps Mid Century Modern Retro Eames Era I am offering for bid this Rare Pair of Vintage 1950s Plastic Globe Lamps. They have sort of a SPACE AGE Mid Century Modern Retro look and I have searched the different Auction sites and can’t seem to find anything that has sold or listed now like these. Each Lamp has what I would call a a three dimensional abstract design that looks like chunks of different colors all around it. The Lamps are both multi-color with mostly blue and measure roughly 12 1/2" tall. Gold metal round bases with brown electrical cords and wood pedestal to top lights. The lamp have standard bulb sockets and are in original Vintage condition with only slight scratch spot on metal base top. photo) etc. THe wood pedestal show wear but could be touched up with wood polish.photo) Some slight rust ... moreon the side of the bases(photo) All these issues could be fixed but I am selling them as found but I did include photos. Vintage Accurate Casting Amber Lamps ~(2 Lamps)~
Beautiful vintage amber lamps. You would get two lamps in working order. Two globes, two hurricanes(different in size unfortunately) and small bulbs for the bottom lights. Both lamps have a light that works on top and bottom. Both lamps are painted amber in color and have some peeling or missing paint is spots. The first turn of the light switch, turns the bottom light on(located in the base see pictures) The second turn, turns the bottom light off and turns the top light on.
