It's a nice heavy piece made of some kind of thick board. Cut out on the side is for easily carrying to whatever convention or auditorium where the fbi was promoting. We think it is from the time period when communism was a prime focus of the fbi. Displays well with some scrapes tot he words and light soilgin. There are a couple of places where the board is cracked and broken through but still intact. The frame is built with Columbus SL tubes with beautifly engraved and shaped lugs. Head tube and upper stays. It has down tube internal derailleurs cable routing and chainstay cable routing for rear derailleur. It has highest quality drop outs and the upper stays start round at the drop outs but get flat in the upper part. The fork has also Beni Herger logo engraved, same drop outs and flat/shaped tubes. The frame is painted in pearl white/blue chameleon type paint. The frame is lightly used and in quite excellent condition. Took the fork out and its Tange Cast Crown with Tange headset and bottom bracket. It's set up for cantis not rollercams brakes. All the braze ons are still intact. It has Bianchi Drop Outs front and rear. One more thing. This bike is massive the biggest bike I've ever had possession of the height from ground to toptube with wheels on it is"33.5. Vintage Shooting Targets This shooting target dates from around the 1950's to 1960's. This shooting target contains three individual steel targets of varying size hung on a steel rod frame. The frame is welded to the heavy base so that the shooting gallery is all one piece. The center target measures 2" x 2" square and the targets on either side are 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" with a corner cut from each target. All three targets spin in place when hit. The heavy weighted cast iron base angles up on all four sides with a small raised pedestal in the center which provides space for a fourth target.to stand. It has a nearly complete Shimano 600 group including: headset, front and rear derailleurs, crankset(52-42) brakes, brake levers(the white rubber hoods are cracked) hubs, 6-speed cassette, and pedals. Other components include: Shimano 105 shift levers, Araya 700c rims, Kusuki stem and handlebars(professionally modified to bull-horn style) original Mitsubushi tires(showing no wear) and pink suede Italia saddle. The drive-train shows no wear. The black annodized Araya rims show no pad marks. Along with Miyata. Bridgestone, Centurion, Fuji, and others, Univega produced superior quality road bikes in the early and mid-80's. Picked this vintage 1955 Schwinn frame up in hopes of doing something with it but never did. It's either a Panther or Jaguar. The serial number shows that it's a 1955 frame. The head badge is gone and a decal was put on by the original owner in the 60s. You Schwinn guys will know this is the real deal. No doubt. vintage Exxon Graftek road bike frame 1975-6
Thanks for viewing my auction for this Exxon Graftek. The frame has stamped on the left inside dropout the number 54(size) And 1556(frame number) so this puts the frame around mid to late 75 to early 76. The frame joints and tubes are in excellent condition with no cracks or visible damage. It does however, have scuff marks throughout the frame. These could have been caused while riding during its glory years, or while in storage/moving. The Graftek lugs are in beautiful condition, and the tubes are perfectly fitted in them. I do not know the history of the bike, other than the gentleman that sold it to me is a frame builder, and I believe he purchased the frame. The fork is straight, an in excellent condition as well, but does have some pitting, which I did not attempt to clean, in fear of damaging it.
