It looks like something that would be in a Vincent Price movie set in Victorian England. The lamp needs to be wired. But that would not be hard, as it is hollow from top to bottom. Cast aluminum, but not light, it is top heavy and has holes for four bolts in the base to anchor it down. Pictures show five glass globes. But THIS ITEM IS SOLD WITHOUT LIGHTS, HARDWARE, OR GLASS GLOBES. These items are not difficult to find at a good home supply store. This auction features a beautiful Victorian Ruby Satin Glass Oil Lamp. The Lamp is 18-1/2" tall. And 12" to the top of the burner. The Ruby Satin Glass Font is about 7" in diameter and 5" high. The lamp has a double burner that appears to work and the burner screws in and out of the font easily; however the wicks are missing. It is in excellent condition for its age. Up for auction is this beautiful antique lamp that was made and sold in the Victorian era. It was made by Vapo-Cresolene Co. of New York. This lamp was used for Whooping Cough. Spasmodic Croup, Nasal Catarrh, Colds, Bronchitis, Coughs, Sore Throat, Broncho Pneumonia, Asthma, and Hay Fever, The Bronchial Complications of Scarlet Feverand Measles and as an aid in the Treatment of Diphtheria. For the Respiratory Diseases of Animals, as Distemper and Pneumonia in Horses and Dogs; Gapes and Roup in Fowls. You would light the miniature oil lamp put it on the stand and put Vapo-Cresolene in the medicine tray to vaporize the room. The gilded stand is a very ornate metal and the top of the stand above the lamp is the vaporizing cup that would hold the medicine. Victorian Aesthetic Gas Table Lamp - Jester
Offered for auction is this very rare Aesthetic Victorian spelter figural gas table lamp featuring a statue of a jester. This is one from my personal collection and probably the rarest lamp I have ever owned. It is in amazing original condition and has not been electrified. The gas valve is operational and removable from the figure. There is a small hole in the top of the statute's head and I have no idea what that would have been for. But nothing appears to be missing and was there when I acquired the lamp. No breaks or cracks in the metal. Very ornate casting on the jester's clothing. Statue of the jester stands on a black slate base that is also in excellent condition. The lamp is quite heavy and very stable. Please note that the figure holds the shade at an angle, this is not a defect, this is the way that it is made. Please refer ... moreto the photographs as they are an important part of the overall description. Topped with a wheel carved glass shade that has the top portion frosted. This would have original cast a very pleasing glow when the lamp was lit with gas. One very small flea bite to the rim of the shade on the fitter which cannot be seen when seated in the holder and which was too small to photograph, otherwise no cracks, chips or defects in the shade. The brass fittings have a wonderful antique patina. Would be an absolutely stunning addition to your period Victorian interior. These old gas table lamps are now getting very hard to find, especially the figural ones and in particular those that haven't been electrified or messed with. A truly wonderful and rare lamp. Overall the entire lamp is approximately 23 3/4" tall to the top of the shade. The statue portion alone is approximately 13 1/2" tall. The stone base is approximately 6" square and it very heavy. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN JEWELED FAIRY LAMP ORMOLU FILIGREE JEWELS
Being offered is this gorgeous Antique Victorian Jeweled Fairy Lamp with 18 colored glass faceted jewels in assorted colors. The white ones are a beautiful opalescent white like fry glass. I have heard these fairy lamps were made by Samuel Clarke. But since there is no makers mark on it I can't say for sure. It is of a nice heavy quality. The filigree frame is an ormolu cast brass shade and matching three foot base with a thumb rest handle. It is two pieces, a shade and base and it comes apart with a twist, but it is a pain to get back together because it has to be lined up exactly right. I would suggest not taking it apart unless you have to, just because it is not easy to get back together(remember how it was lined up before you take it apart) It measures 4 1/4 inches tall and just under 6 inches across at the widest point which including ... morethe handle. It was originally listed as"fairy size" The largest jewels are 1 inch in diameter. And the smaller ones are 3/4 inch in diameter. There is no candle cup inside but there is a metal ring built in. You could use a glass candle cup in there or even a battery operated tea light inside could be used. All of the jewels are there. The red jewels show some crizzling from heat or age and I did find a 1/4 inch shallow chip on one of the small green jewels. It is not that noticeable. There is a little wear to the ormolu finish in places. Especially the handle, as you would expect to see in a 100+ year old piece. Over all I would say it is in great shape for it's age. Up for auction I have a Antique 19th century mold blown kerosene lamp font that came from a large Victorian acid etched pull down lamp. The lamp that this came from was an 1870's- 1880's one. This appears to be a three piece mold and is free from damage. This has the normal roughness inside in some areas that you see in a hand made blown glass piece and the normal wear on the base from 100+ years of use. Offered for auction is this very nice Victorian etched glass lamp shade with copper electrical socket for either a hanging light or a table light. Etched leaf and flower design on the inside of the shade. Flared. Crenelated and beaded outer lip. Wonderful clear glass color. 4 1/4" tall, 5" across the flared opening, 2 1/4" lip for attachment. A bit rough and sharp on the inside of the attachment lip but this is due to manufacturer, not a flaw or chipped. In no way affects the look or the usefulness. I have two of these listed so if you need a matching set please view it's mate. I listed separate because most of the time people only need one. This wonderful antique light measures 23 inches wide/round and 18 inches tall. The chain and the part that attaches to the ceiling are an additional 20 inches. But of course, the chain can be shortened to adjust to the height of your ceiling. I personally would replace the chain and rewire the lamp due to age. For its age, it's in excellent shape, and I can find very little wear. There is a bit of scuffing and the metal has tarnished a little bit in spots. That would be mainly on the chain and such though, as the body of the lamp is just great. The bulbs need replace and you can chose the bulb of your choice. This antique circa 1900 Bronze Sculpture depicts a Medieval Gothic Castle. At the corners are 12 ¾ inch tall spires with tall glass ... morewindows in between. Each side measures 8 ¾ inches wide and the overall height to the top of the center spire is 18 ¼ inches. The bronze surface retains its original patina and you can see evidence of gold gilt, of which the majority has worn away over the years. As you look at the close-up photographs, you will see that this solid bronze lamp shade is finely detailed and in perfect condition. There is something missing from the top of the center spire, but I don’t believe it was a cross. All the designs on this bronze shade are non-religious. At the bottom, you can see three threaded holes, which were used to attach this shade to a fixture. Inside are three opaque glass panels, which have fine, thin cast lines. Two of these pieces of glass are antique and one is a replacement held in with hot glue. This replaced glass is the only problem with this circa 1900 Bronze Lamp Shade. Antique Victorian Bullet Nose Chandelier Lamp
Beautiful antique Victorian metal cast iron chandelier measuring approximately 16" across and 16" from top of actual light fixture to bottom. The chandelier retains its original chain and ceiling cap and has also been recently rewired for safety. I can't tell if the finish is original but it looks to be. Antique Victorian Oil Lamp With Venus Burner
Up for auction is this beautiful Victorian. Handpainted, all original Kerosene Lamp with Venus Burner. I would date this lamp 1875-1895. The wick regulator has"Venus- Pat. Dec. 10, 1867" embossed on it. The glass body of the lamp is painted with brown and green oak leaves and acorns. The iron foot base is cast with a very pleasing foliate design. Measuring 17" to the top of the chimney and 8.50" across the base, this lamp is a very desirable size. It is 10" to the top of the burner and this glass body is 5" in diameter. This lamp has never been electrified. The chimney may have been replaced at some time but it is not new. This beautiful lamp is very clean and perfect in every way. Stunning antique Victorian Era luster lamp in plum purple cut-to-clear glass with hanging crystal prisms. In very nice condition. I do not see any cracks or chips. Victorian Bohemian Mini Cranberry Floriform Art Glass Fairy Lamp Shade + Base
Bohemian Mini Floriform Art Glass Shade and Base Description: Two piece miniature fairy lamps shade and base is a unique grouping. I'm not sure of the base is original to the shade. The tealight holder has a cut rim and is cranberry red flashed glass. As pics will show. The cranberry art glass floriform shade has applied colourless petals is multiple rows. The rim is cut with a few minor flake chips from surface use. There is no chips, breaks or stains on both pieces. The flashing does have some minor wear. Shade is Bohemian from 1900 or before and is from Kralik. Or other Glasshutte. Base is not marked and unknown maker. 3-7/8" ta ll. Complete. The shade is 2-3/4" tall with a 2-1/4" diameter rim and the opening is 1-1/2" diameter. The base is 1-7/8" tall with a 3" diameter rim and the base is 2-1/4" ... morediameter. Antique 1800's Royal Victorian Oil Kerosene Burner Hurricane Lamp Nickel Plate
THIS ITEM IS FOR SALE AGAIN BECAUSE OF A NON PAYING BIDDER. THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE ROYAL OIL OR KEROSENE LAMP ONLY. Here we have a BEAUTIFUL ORNATE antique 1800's metal Victorian oil or kerosene burner hurricane table lamp that is nickel plated! It has a glass chimney that came with it. The lamp body is GORGEOUS with a GRACEFUL pedestal design that curves in and out to the bulbous area. It has 3 dimensional scrolls. Leaves and beads around oval raised areas all around the top! The foot is also very ornate and FANCY with cut outs scrolls and leaves! The area between the foot and the bulbous part that curves in and out is smooth. The burner is either oil or kerosene and the very top of the burner is signed"Royal" and appears to have dents but the rest of the lamp is in really good condition. It has the number 19 or 61 impressed ... moreon the bottom. A magnet will stick only to the footed base and not to the bulbous part or the burner parts some of which may be brass. 18 3/4" tall to top of chimney. 11" to top of burner, 5" foot to foot and 6 1/8" foot to foot with base with foot in front. Condition is very good with only one narrow 1 1/2" long dent on the side near the protruding center(please see 2n d to last photo for it) and I almost missed it. It is not very noticeable because it is next to the protruding center. It could use a cleaning but I will leave that to the new owner. I apologize for not knowing much about this type of lamp but I guess we can't know about everything. Right? All I know is that it is a BEAUTY! I have another oil or kerosene lamp on Ebay and it has a 3 dimensional figural bust which resembles Robin Hood on both sides of the metal urn vase part of it. It can be seen in the last photo. For your consideration we offer this beautiful Christmas caroler display. The carolers sing in front of a Victorian home. There is a little light on the back of the door to illuminate it. It is so beautiful in evening with the warm glow of the light! This display was created in the 1970's using the Holland Mold. It is a lovely display with antique style paint. It measusres 11 inches tall and is 10 1/2 inches wide. This display was created for my mother by a family member. I am selling as found. It has some problems. It is missing the small tree from the front. When I displayed it we used a little bottle brush tree in its place. Also. The pieces were hot glued onto the base for some reason. I have cleaned off the old glue. The parts simply sit on top of the base. These old Holland ceramic pieces are so hard to find! They are all retired ... moresome 40 years and most of the molds have been disposed. Perhaps you remember having a charming display like this. Bottom appears to be brass. The other parts are some type of metal/brass- not sure. Missing cap. Appears to be hand painted.
