Victorian Antique Ceramic Tile Large IRIS 1902 - 1909 Made in England Richards
Here is a white tile with brown art work from the Victorian Era(the close up photo is closest to the actual color) It has a large picture of an Iris and its buds and leaves. It is a 6" by 6" tile. Marked England on the back. There are also numbers on the back: 5050(in red) 0, and 91. There is a piece of paper taped on the back that gives this information: H. Richards 1902- 09. The dates 1902- 09 is also written in pencil on the back. The on damage that I can see is a chip on a petal of one of the side flowers. It is the one on the right as you look at the picture. Again, please look at the close up photo to see it. It blends in on the larger pictures, but it is there. Please look carefully at the photos for the best idea of condition and design. This would look so pretty framed or as a place to set hot pans. Truly elegant! This ... morewill not be sent in an envelope. This tile weighs almost 13 ounces(unpacked) I have been asked about the high shipping fee for expedited shipping and I know as a buyer. I put a figure for weight to cover a range of weights because the boxes weigh so much and I might find a sturdier yet stronger box in which to pack the item after I list it, so my prices can't be absolute. Up for auction is a lovely. Hand painted, ceramic tile. Not including the frame, it measures 7 1/2 inches long and 5 1/2 inches wide. It features an old European village street scene, with a few people, and a dog drawn cart. The bottom right corner is signed by the artist, G W. The back of the tile has a W stamped on it. The frame is nice, but if you look closely at photo#5, you'll see that the tile is not really secure in the frame. Looks like someone tried to add some stapes to the frame, to keep the tile from falling out. Very easy to remove. Everything in excellent condition. Please take a moment to look at my other auctions. California during the 1930's. It shows a classic design of Spanish Revival Monterey tiles in rich colors of orange, turquoise, and black tiles. This table has eight tiles measuring 6 inches by 6 inches. The tiles are all in very good condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. There are a few tiny pin prick size rough spots but no scratches or crazing. There is no missing grout or loose tiles. The table measures approximately 18 inches by 230 inches and stands 17 inches tall. It is shown here with the original finish which has been cleaned, re-stained, and polished. It shows a classic Double Macaw scene popular during that era that was also produced by various other tile manufactures including Catalina Island. It was originally a table but the legs were damaged beyond repair and removed. It was converted for use as a wall hanging. This table top measures approximately 17-7/8 inches by 25-1/2 inches with six tiles measuring 6 inches by 6 inches. The tiles are all in very good condition with minor signs of wear from age but no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. There are a few light scratches on the top right tile on the black area. Land O Lakes Limited Edition Spring Tile - RARE Land O'Lakes pigs
This is a hand painted ceramic tile. That is signed and numbered by the artist. Number 421 or 1000. The artist is Mark Tomlinson. It's approximately 6 inches by 6 inches. The back has a hook and cork on it. It's in great shape. The only flaws I found that are too small to show up on camera are on the back side of the tile there are two chips in the corners on the back side. It's not noticeable from the front, only on the back. The back note says"Nationally known artist Mark Tomlinson has created this limited edition tile. One in a series of five representing the seasonal farmlands of Land O' Lakes country. Each drawing is screened onto the ceramic tile, then hand-finished, signed and numbered by the artist. Enjoy! Old ARTS & CRAFTS POTTERY TILE HOTPLATE In Metal Footed Base 6 1/4"
Aubert Auctions Description An old arts& crafts era blue/green glazed pottery tile fitted in a metal footed base. There is a partially legible paper label adhered to the reverse of the tile. What can be read is the ending of a company name in the letters NCKLEY and the end of a town's name in the letters UXBURY MASS. The tile and base is attic fresh and covered with dirt and grime. It appears moisture has set under the tile in the metal holder which has caused corrosion and grunge buildup on the tiles reverse. The pottery and blue glaze are in good overall condition without breaks. Cracks or chips. There are no repairs and item is in original condition without repairs. The metal base has a mottled paint design on its underside. Paint is in good condition. There are remnants of two stickers on the underside. In the paint is a 1 1/4" ... morescratch which appears to have happened while paint was drying. The metal frame measures 6 1/4" across x 1" high. The tile measures 6 1/32" across x 1/2" high. The tile glaze is not crazed and other than dirt and some surface scratches in good condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Please see photos for further specifics. Offering a lovely Vintage Mexican Square Wood Framed Tile Tray. Trivet or Wall Decor. Four co-ordinating tiles are mounted on a wood frame and secured with white grout. This lightly lacquered wood tray is designed with four wood feet, a wooden backing and a wire for wall display. The Tiles are designed with a swirl and circle design, in shades of brown and yellow on a creamy white background. We were unable to determine any markings on the reverse of each tile as the tray is backed with wood. This Vintage piece is in very nice condition with few signs of use. The wood does show slight scuffing and lacquer ware. A gentle cleaning would most likely be preferred. We found no chip or broken sections. As this is preowned and older. Vintage Mexican 2-Tile Carved Wood Jewelry Trinket Box - Mexico

This vintage Mexican Art Tile Jewelry or Trinket Box has two matching tiles with a hand-carved wooden frame acting as the top of the box. The tiles are decorated with a large center flower in yellow and brown over the creamy white background of the tile. The box is rectangular with tiny metal hinges which allow the lid to open flat and a small latch at the front. The sides are extended at the bottom to provide a stand on either side of the piece. Each tile is 4-1/4 inches square- the overall size is 11-1/4 inches long. 7 inches wide and 3-3/4 inches tall from tabletop to upper edge. The wood of this piece has been stained a walnut shade. The backs of the tiles covered but we believe them to be Dal-Tile. Our ... morenice trinket or jewelry box has a little of the expected light scuffing of the wood frame which could easily be retouched. The tiles themselves are in overall very good condition with one small nick at the corner of one tile. The Box shows few signs of use; overall it's in very nice vintage condition. The inside of the box has a red flocked paper liner with no stains. The tiny hook which allows the front latch to lock is missing and could possibly be replaced if desired. Stoke On Trent tile by William Wise in excellent pre-owned condition. This tile was part of a series done by William Wise while he worked at Mintons China Works. The series was called Animal Groups and showed animals on the farm. This tile is 6 inches tall by 6 inches wide and has been made into a trivet with a wood border and four feet. It shows two adult horses with a young foal out at pasture. The only fault we can find is one very small chip on the edge in the upper left handed corner and of course it shows that it has been around for about 135 years. This 6 1/2" round tea tile was done by the firm of T& R Boote. England, circa 1880. The seen depicts, and is titled, Mr. Pickwick and Mrs Bardell" The scene was from a story by Charles Dickens- and was based on an engraving by"E. M" published in April of 1836. This is transfer printed in brown on buff. Attractive version of an egg and dart border surrounds the scene. In very nice condition with one chip as pictured. Normal wear for its age.
