American Encaustic Tiling Co. Zanesville, OH 1875-1935 This set of 6 vintage floral tiles can be used in a number of configurations. Use your imagination and combine with other tile for a larger installation. Matte glazing is black and tan. And each tile measures 5 3/4" long x 2 3/4" wide x 1/2" thick. Very good condition. Up for sale is this"beautiful" Warner Prins Custom Made Porcelain Tile Plaque The Porcelain Tile laque measures 2.75" squared ~ framed it is 4 11/16" squared The tile depicts an Asian person standing near a tree It is completed encased in a brass curved frame ~ the frame does have some scratches and pitting The tile is absolutely beautiful! There is a felt lining adhered to the back(to protect your wall when hung) When this tile was made between 1950-1970 you would request what type of tile you wanted and Warner Prins would design and make it for you. It is painted so that the metal oxides flow in true ceramic fashion and penetrate the pores of the clay body. Then a neutral glaze mines the work. Warner Prinz died in 1987 ~ he created numerous tiles with a wide variety of stylized designs and exhibited at several shows ... morein NYC. It depicts a dark pink flower against an off white background. And curvilinear motifs against a light teal blue background(the photos make it look darker and whiter) Nicely glazed surface. The clay is coarse and porous with a some mica(sparkling inclusions) The surface coating has tiny bubbles. Some crazing, but no cracking(see photos) There are a few small chips around the edges and a chipped corner(visible only sideways; see last photo) There are no breakages. Or cracks that run through the fired clay. The tile is not stamped. Finally. A brief note about the photographs. I have used two different backgrounds and still failed to capture the true colors ... moreof this tile. The white background is not as white as in the photos and the teal color not as dark. For your consideration… HISTORICAL CERAMIC TILE DEPICTING ELM KNOLL LONGFELLOW HOUSE IN PITTSFIELD MASSACHUSETTS It is in excellent condition. The image is black print on white ceramic tile. It measures apx. 6” square. It has a device on the back where you can hang it. Or you can frame it in a shadow box, or put it on a easel. Or you can use it as a trivet or paperweight because it sits level. This is great for the Longfellow item collector or anyone who is building a tile wall that needs an interesting piece to work into their motif. From Back: The house which later became known as the“Longfellow House” dates ack to 1790 when it was a single story. Four room farmhouse on East Street. In 1800. Thomas Gold, a prominent Pittsfield attorney, bouthg the homestead and remodeled it into a spacious mansion, adding a second story with a balistraded ... moreroof and a small wing on the west side for his law office. The Golds lived for many years at“Elm Knoll” As it was then called. In 1843. The Gold’s granddaughter and her husband, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, came to visit and subsequently spent many summers at the Gold homestead. It was in 1845 that Longfellow published his now famous poem“The Old Clock on the Stairs” about the grandfather clock he often had observed during his visits. After the death of Mrs. Gold. The house was sold to Nathan Appleton(Mrs. Longfellow’s father) who used it as a summer residence until he sold it to Thomas Plunkett in 1853. In 1926. A proposal was made to use the property as the site for a badly needed high school. After much controversy. The Longfellow House at 156 East Street was demolished in 1929 and is today the site of Pittsfield High School. NOTE: This ceramic tile is one of thirteen in a series commemorating historic sites in Berkshire County. The Longfellow House sketch by William Sosa has been recreated from an early postcard. Vintage MEXICAN 6 TILE HANDLED TRAY CARVED WOOD FRAME MEXICO
We are pleased to offer this lovely Vintage Mexican 6 Ceramic Tile Tray crafted by talented Artisans in Mexico. This wonderful Tray has 6 matching Tiles mounted in a hand carved wooden frame. The co-ordinating Tiles have a creamy white background and are decorated swirls. Lines and the illusion of flowers in shades of yellow and blue. As noted in the photo, 4 of the Tiles create a medallion. Each Tile is separated with carved wood dividers. In an overall rectangular shaping with handles carved on 2 sides and a wood backing for stability. The wood frame has been intricately carved, stained and lacquer for protection. In very nice Vintage condition with slight signs of use or display. The Tiles are in overall excellent condition. We did note several small edge tile nicks as seen in several photos- these are most likely from crafting or placement ... morein the wood framing. The wood does show slight expected rubs and wear(primarily on the upper edging) The wood backing does show small wood splits where nails were placed. But is secure and stable. Vintage Mexican 2-Tile Carved Wood Jewelry Trinket Box - Dal Tile - Mexico
Welcome to our Back Room! It’s here you’ll find fun and interesting collectibles we’ve enjoyed. It’s time for them to find a new home. This vintage Mexican Art Tile Jewelry or Trinket Box has two matching tiles mounted in a hand-carved wooden frame. The tiles are decorated in a gentle floral and scroll pattern in green. Pink and gold over the creamy white background of the tile. The box is rectangular with tiny metal hinges which allow the lid to open flat and a small latch at the front. Four wooden feet have been added to the bottom of the box to protect the underlying surface. Each tile is 4-1/4 inches square- the overall size is 9-7/8 inches long and 5-5/8 inches wide and 2-5/8 inches tall from tabletop to upper edge. The wood of this piece has been stained a walnut shade. The backs of the tiles are marked"Dal-Tile Mexico. Our nice ... moretrinket or jewelry box has a little of the expected light scuffing of the wood frame which could easily be retouched. The tiles themselves are in overall excellent condition with no nicks. And no chips. The Box shows few signs of use; overall it's in very nice vintage condition and the inside is clean. This great piece is perfect for display and would work well wherever you choose to use it. It would be especially nice for a young child to store treasures inside. Vintage Wood with Tile Bread/Roll Warmer - Unique!
Up for bid is this totally unique vintage bread/roll warmer. It is made of walnut(I think) wood and has a ceramic tile in the bottom. You heat the tile. Then slid it in the bottom of the wooden holder to keep your rolls or bread warm. It measures 9" x 7" and the tile is a 6" square. The"tab" on one side of the wooden base is broken off, but the other is intact. Would not be hard to repair. The tile is a bit discolored, but you can simply use another 6x6 square to replace it. Overall, it is a great vintage item that serves a useful purpose.

Wonderful and unusual large hand-painted ceramic tile from Mexico. I don't believe this is terribly old; possibly two decades or so. This shows a cemetery scene with families visiting graves. So I imagine it was made for the Day of the Dead. It doesn't have a creepy feel to it. Though, unlike many Dia de Los Muertes folk art pieces. Much larger than the average Mexican tiles at 8" by 8" typical.25" thickness. In excellent condition. Without any wear or damage that I can find. The colors are vivid and rich; it has a textured 3-D feel and appearance. Someone has put a hanger on the back; it works so I never removed it. Really a striking piece of folk art; an unusual addition for a Mexican pottery collection. Shipping: please use the calculator. Sadly. This is a very nice PENHALL brick wet/ dry saw. It has a diamond blade and is ready to go to work as soon as it arrives at your place. Just fill it with water and start cutting. This has a 1 1/2 hp 110v or 220v motor. It is setup for 110 now. But you can rewire it to run on 220. You can easily add legs just by adding some square stock into the leg holders. This dual voltage saw is very similar to the MK dual voltage 1.5hp brick saw that retails for over $1500.00 Get a nice used one here for HALF price WITH a DIAMOND BLADE. I think it is a 14" blade, I will measure it the next time I get over to the storage building. Obviously. Since this is used, and cuts masonry products, it is dirty, and is not cosmetically perfect. Also, it is missing the cover to the electrical outlet. You could go to the hardware and get a standard outdoor springloaded ... moreoutlet cover for about $3.00, but the water pump plugs into it, so you pretty much can't have the cover on anyways.
