Condition This piece has aged well overall. There is a little age in places. However no chips or cracks. Please see all pictures. Colour various Maker/ Brand marked as seen- most likely Kutani Region Best Features This is a beautiful old Japanese tea set for one. It comprises of one small teapot. One tiny cup and saucer, a milk jug and one lidded pot. It has been delicately hand painted with the tiniest but most precise of strokes to create the images of Japanese Geishas that you see on each piece. Very fine. Lightweight porcelain. The colouring is typical of this type of ware in the Kutani region. Markings are still being researched for old pieces. The pot has a design with Turkeys on both the front and rear. The pot is in a nice Cobalt blue color with gold color trim at the top edges. The handle is wire and wood wrapped with a plastic material. I see no real damage to the pot no chips, nicks or hair lines. The 4 cups have the same design on them just on one side only. The cups are white inside and Cobalt outside. One of the cups has a tiny chip at the rim with a hair line running down the side to the bottom. Seems to be very tight and strong. Vintage China Coffee Tea Sake Set w/ 6 Cups with Lids
This is a beautiful set! The design is golden peacocks(Attached are pics of the Peacock design that I held under a light so that you can see the gold.The dogwood flowers are also trimmed in gold. All the rims of cups and lids are also trimmed in gold. I do not know how old this set is. I have had it for about 20 years and belonged to my Grandmother for an unknown amount of years. I have looked for a set with covered cups and have not been able to locate anything that is similar. This set is in great condition with no chips. Cracks or breaks. Teapot to top of lid approximately 6" tall. Add in bamboo handle approximately 8 1/4" tall. Teacups with lids approximately 4" tall.

This early pair of cup and saucers match a bowl I have listed on eBay at the same time. The porcelain is very white and fine. You can see the images to the cup and saucer when held to the light. The two saucers are the early deep ones without a recessed cup ring. The saucers measure 5 1/2" 14 cm) in diameter and are 1 1/2" 3.8 cm) deep. The saucers have the"Charity" design on the inside bottom with two purple luster rings at the rim. The cups are"cut in" at the base like the matching bowl I have listed. The cups feature the"Faith" Hope" designs on the outside. With the double purple luster rings inside. Both cups have the exaggerated handle shape seen on Swansea, Nantgarn, and Copeland cups. The molds were purchased by Copeland from Nantgarn when Nantgarn went out of business in 1820. Pair of Chinese Fujian Dehua blue white tea bowls cups 18th/19th
This is a pair of Chinese blue and white tea bowls made at the Dehua kilns in the Fujian province. One bowl is 2 ½ inches tall and 4 ¼ inches in diameter and the other is 2 ¼ inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. They are decorated in a similar fashion though the blue on the smaller bowl is darker. These are hard to date as this design was used for quite some time. Shards with this design were found dated to the early to mid 18 th century. We believe they date between 1750 and 1850. The larger bowl is marked on the bottom with Zheng Yu. The larger bowl has chips on the footrim. The small bowl has a small chip on the rim and a several part hairline on the bottom that goes through to the inside of the bowl. Each one is composed of three figures i.e. lying down. Standing, and sitting.The overall outside depiction is two individuals; one lying down and one standing in a walled garden with a tree, bushes, a bird, clouds, and two large floral plants. Inside the cup, there is a seated man under a tree with a pagoda and portion of a building in the background. On the inside ... morerim is an elaborately designed geometric band. The rim is scalloped with remnants of gold leaf on the edge. Each one is individually signed on the bottom. Now for the bad news. Four of them have a small hairline crack near the top. The cracks range in size from 3/4" 1 1/2" in length. I could find no signs of leaking on these pieces. Fortunately, there are no other signs of damage to any of the bowls. The base color is an Autumn Gold with Gold hand painted bamboo scattered about the cups and saucers. Both cups and saucers are banded in black with gold scrolling. This is a black cast iron tea pot with cups and trivet. The set is unused and comes with original box/packing. There is no information on the items or box of what brand. Etc. It looks to be a Japanese Tetsubin tea pot with a hobnail design and very solid. I have not taken the plastic band off the original packing but I'm going to assume that there is a mesh strainer inside as other cast iron tea pots show. For scale purposes the tea pot is approx. 3" in diameter on the bottom rim(it gets bigger as it goes up- the largest diameter is the middle of pot and is approx. 6" and is 3 1/2" from top to bottom(not including handle) The original box is 12 1/2" long, 8" wide and 4 3/4" in height. I recently acquired some great Lamps. Fine China, Majolica, and Fine China as part of a wealthy estate. This auction includes 11 peices: 3 saucers(5.5 inches) with teacups, 4(7.25 inch) plates, and 1 ornate(10 inch) platter. You don't see the pansy pattern come around often, and there not one like it currently listed on ebay. The painting on the china are of deep violet pansy's with golden rims. The gold is sparsley filled over the rims and edges(Not solid like you see on some) and this really gives depth to the artwork. Estimated to be from the late 19th/early 20th Century; however I am not a specialist and I'm just going off of the little research i've conducted. I am happy to answer any questions. Set consists of sugar bowl and creamer, 9 cups and 10 saucers. Creamer has a flea bite on spout. Saucers measure 5" Cups, sugar bowl, and creamer measure 3" tall. Set is cream colored with orange/brown dots as a decoration. Dots are not consistent in shape or color. No chips or cracks, but crackling under the glaze. Great vintage set. 1943 REAL EGG SHELL home handmade craft tea set antique cups creamer sugar bowl
You are bidding on a handmade egg shell tea set. This is an awsome little set made from REAL EGG SHELLS! The winning bigger will receive all 5 pieces. 2 creamer/pitchers 2 tea cups 1 sugar bowl I think the larger ones are goose or duck eggs and the smaller ones are chicken eggs. But I am not sure. SOMEHOW they have survived in almost perfect condition ALMOST 80 years. And now you have an opportunity to purchase them. They all say Easter 1943 on the bottom. The one pitcher is missing the bottom paper/foot piece. But other then that I dont see any cracks in them. If you would like more pics or have a question just email me. Antique Japanese Set of 3 Tea Ceremony Caddies Hand Painted Earthenware Look at this! Don't miss it! Here is a great set of three ceremonial lidded tea cups or caddies. One of them is slightly larger than the other two They are Japanese in origin. Made out of raku or native earthenware clay All hand painted with enamel paints- traditional figural patterns with a man on an elephant on a maroon red background The three are signed on their respective bottoms as pictured. This mark stands for the celebrated Kyoto potter and artist Mokubei Aoki(1767-1833) and although the set wasn't made by the Master himself. It is in his style/manner of a later period All come with their original lids Measurements: Approx. 4" high with lid. 3" diameter, the smaller ones are 3.5" high with lid, 2.75" diameter Condition: Please see ... morephotos below.
