Exceptional quality. Small alkaline or salt glazed, primitive antique crock. 6 1/4 inches high, about 3 inch top diameter, about 4 1/4 inch bottom diameter. ... moreLooks to be just under 5 inches around(diameter) in the middle. Nice luster, looks different in every kind of light. Glaze is nicely variegated- study photos to get the feel and look of this relatively heavy piece(for its size) Does not appear to be missing a lid- the way the opening was made, I do not believe this ever had a lid, at least not a ceramic one that would have been incorporated into the clay design when the piece was hand thrown. Looks like this crock could originate from the Catawba Valley Pottery, but just my opinion. Glaze& form reminds me a little bit of Pewabic Pottery pieces, but not iridescent. Not much wear given its age- glaze has rubbed off in a few small spots around the rim(see photo) but no serious chips or cracks. Bottom is unmarked. All sales are final- no returns. Please ask questions before bidding. Shipping to Lower 48 States only. No international sales. Payment due within 3 days of auction end. If you have a feedback score of 10 or less, you must contact me before bidding. In"as found" condition- this item is vintage, and not new. Photos are as important as my written description. Please review all the photos carefully, including at close-up magnification.

1880 T.F. Reppert Successor To Jas. Hamilton Greensboro PA Stoneware Crock RARE!
WOWWEEEE! They may be out there. But I've never seen one. Successor To" This is an Antique T.F. Reppert Successor To Jas. Hamilton& Co. Stoneware Crock Circa 1880. This old crock is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or hairlines. The only thing I can find wrong with it is a scuffed up area on the base. Imagine something so old aging so well. The glaze is in perfect condition inside and out but it could use a good cleaning. The letters are a little faded but still very legible and look like the normal weathering I have seen on many of these T.F. Reppert crocks. If you've seen enough of them, you will know what I mean. It measures 9 7/8" tall x 6" in diameter at the base. These have to be pretty rare. So it could be one of your only opportunities to own one, especially in this condition. Fantastic. Brown Stoneware CROCK Raised NOUVEAU LADY Portrait
BROWN STONEWARE CANISTER Absolutely gorgeous stoneware canister measures a huge 8" tall by 8" across. I'm not certain of its use. But perhaps as a tobacco jar. The brown glaze is reminiscent of Bennington, but I think it may be molded stoneware from the mid-atlantic states, perhaps New Jersey. My camera flash makes the piece a bit lighter in color than it really is. The molded design features an all-over raised dot pattern, along with a spectacular raised semi-nude nouveau lady bust. Clay seems to be ocre in color. Surprisingly enough, there is very little damage to this piece.just use chips on the very bottom rim(more like slivers, really) The raised lady bust appears on two sides of the canister, and the zipper design is also on opposite sides. You won't be disappointed with this beauty! Buyer pays priority shipping and ... moreinsurance. SORRY. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS. VTG. Antique SALT crock, stoneware cellar, box, ceramic pottery KITCHEN wall bin!
Wonderful! This salt box harkens back to an earlier day. When every item in the kitchen was revered and appreciated! This lovely salt cellar is a real beaut. And the real deal. It is of a design I have never seen before, with flat corners, and a hand painted plaid pattern. It measures 5" wide, 4-3/4" tall, and 3-3/4" deep(sides) It is my understanding that a salt box would hold one pound of salt. The lid is wood, and is hinged-still holds secure! On the bottom of the bin it is marked"MADEIN JAPAN" and likely dates from the late 20's to the 30's. It is vintage to be sure, and has some age stains and glaze crazing. No cracks or chips, and the colors are still bright! Feel free to supersize the photos to see all of the details. The salt box was designed to either sit on a shelf or table, to hang up on the wall-or ... moreabove the stove, where the salt remained dry and handy. This would be wonderful sitting on the table in your vintage styled kitchen(and holding salt! or would be equally at home hanging on the wall with recipes or anything you choose. A bit of history, and a charming kitchen accent! If you have any questions. Don't hesitate to ask, and I will be glad to help you out. Make sure and click on the"see more services" under the shipping, just so you can find the least expensive option for shipping! I would be more than happy to combine shipping for you! ANTIQUE STONEWARE 3 SIDED FLASK SHAPE JUG CROCK FOOT WM
Offering this unusual Antique Stoneware Flask Shape. 3 flat sides, Crock Jug Foot Warmer from a local Tampa Estate that originated in Pennsylvania. It stands 11 1/2 inches tall and is 6 1/2 inches wide. Much speculation as to its intended use and concluded that it was designed to be used for some type of alcohol beverage storage/ aging, thus the flat sides allowed for rotation. Another sensible answer is the Foot Warmer that had flat sides to keep it from rolling around in bed of buggy or bed at home. It is a beauty with no markings that I can detect. STONEWARE BLUE DECORATED CROCK BY COWDN OF HARRISBURG, PA - VINTAGE 1881-1888
Thank you for your interest in our auction of an ANTIQUE BLUE DECORATED. HANDLED, STONEWARE CROCK BY F. H. COWDEN OF HARRISBURG, PA. VINTAGE 1881-1888. This is a used item, that has been in my family from the beginning, in the 1880s, passed down from my great grandmother. It is still in fine condition. There are no cracks any where on it. There are two points on the bottom of the crock that my be chips out of it, or it may be that they were manufacturing flaws, but in any case, as can be seen in our photos, they are insignificant faults, and would have no effect on the use of the crock. What's more, they are on the bottom of the crock, where they wouldn't even be seen in normal usage. The crock is glazed both outside and inside, and there doesn't seem to be any crazing any where on the crock, inside or outside, that I have seen. ... moreFrom research that I have recently done on this crock, I have been happily surprised to learn that this piece representing the stoneware produced by the Cowden family of Harrisburg, PA, the capital city of Pennsylvania, is or was among the most highly collected stoneware in the nation. I am under the impression that the blue decoration and the salt glaze used by these producers was something new and important to the production of stoneware. This crock measures approximately 9-1/2 inches high, 9-1/4 inches across the top, 10 inches across the widest part and 7 inches across the base. If you become the winning bidder on more than one of my auctions. Contact me, and we will try to combine your purchases to reduce your overall shipping costs. The shipping charges below include insurance and delivery confirmation. But they are for the contiguous 48 states, only. Buyers from other areas will need to contact us to learn the charges to their area. Our goal is customer satisfaction. So we try to accurately describe our items. This is a small but great old crock. It has no identifying marks. It has lovely character marks and signs of age. The is one very fine crack less than two inches long extending from the rim down and is visible in the enlarged picture of the inside. It has a few poc marks that I believe are not damage but most likely have always graced this lovely crock. It stands 4" high with a 5" diameter and weighs 2 pounds. Vintage Antique Stoneware Crock w/ Lid & Heavy Brown Glaze, Unmarked, Stands 9"
Vintage Antique Stoneware Crock w/ Lid& Heavy Brown Glaze. Unmarked, Stands 9" 8" Diameter At Widest Point
VERY LARGE BROWN CROCK LID WITH KNOB. 12 1/4" DIAMETER,STONEWARE POTTERY
This auction is for a huge crock lid. It is in very good condition. I don't know if it is a very old item that was stored under protection all this time. Or if it is a fairly new item. I don't even know if they still make lids for crocks. Anyway- it is large, measuring 12 1/4" across. And is heavy, weighing almost 4 pounds! There are a few little spots on the top that look like there must have been a bubble in the pottery when it was made, and the bubbles popped and left a little hole. And there are a couple spots on the underside that look like another type of flaw when it was made. Just a little scrape spot. None of these little flaws should hinder someone from purchasing, since, I would imagine that there are any of these types of products without something like this. Bye the look of the underside rim, I believe it was hand-finished. ... moreI am adding an extra pound for packing material. For safety reasons, but, if I don't need it, I will refund the difference after packing it. The picture listing section on ebay seems to be having problems today. So, I'm sorry about the poor quality pictures, and the pictures that are sideways. But, I can't fix them at this time. Sorry. If you have any questions. Please feel free to contact me. Check out my! Be sure to add me to your! We add a small packing and handling fee(usually.50 cents to 75 cents for inside the US. And $1.00 for international packages) We have to add this to offset the high cost of our fees on ebay and the fees that Paypal charges us just for using Paypal. Sometimes we have overestimated your shipping costs, or we can pack your items lighter than we anticipated; and in those instances, we usually will send you a refund via paypal. We try to pack your items securely so they do not get damaged. But, there have been a couple cases where the item gets broken in transit. If this should happen, we would appreciate it if you would please contact us to let us know of your troubles. We will try to work with you to solve any problems that arise
