For your consideration is an estate find. It is a 1 QT. size Antique Stoneware Pottery Two tone Whisky Jug or Crock with a finger handle. It measures about 9" tall x 5 1/2" in diameter It has no cracks or chips on the spout or the handle. there are three small(very small) chips around the top flat edge. You are bidding on one antique Small size Louisville pottery/stoneware Indian Head crock. This item has the Indian head picture encircled in stars. I do not see any other markings on this item. I assume it is Louisille only because of the indian design. I am not an expert. There is some chips around the top edge. Also there is some chipping on the inside. Please see pictures for condition. This item is approx 3 1/2 inches tall by a bit more than 5 3/4 inches diameter measured from the top. 5 1/2 diameter measured from the bottom. Here's a nice old or antique bottle of the stoneware. Earthenware or crockery type. This one is in very nice condition with no issues to note. It has an impressed mark upon the body under the clear glaze that says"Carters Inks" as the pictures show. The bottle stands about 7 inches tall and is 3 inches in diameter. The pour spout at the top seems to have been hand shaped or formed. The piece has a very nice primitive appearance. Our guess is this bottle is from somewhere in the late 1800's. Nice shine to the clear glaze and a little coloring under the glaze as shown in the pictures. That's about it. The pictures should be helpful to those having interest. The only other jug I was able to find was one that sold. I believe at an auction, that was missing its handle and a large chunk out of the base. This is a MUST HAVE for Bauer collectors! This beehive jug measures 17” tall x 11” in diameter. This jug would have been considered in MINT condition but recently the spout was chipped which measures about 1 1/8” in length. I do not believe the chip takes away from its value much.I am starting this auction at a low price because I want to make sure it finds a great home. But it does have a cobalt blue pattern going around the top, and on the applied handle. There are a few repaired areas. That appear to have been plugged. Just below the opening. There is an incised ring pattern, as seen in picture#8. The jug has a hairline. But we don't think it goes through the jug(see picture#7) Chip present on the bottom edge(see pictures#10& 11) NOTE: We have lightly dry dusted the jug. But have done no major cleaning. Quite understandable, given it is wrought on a curved surface. We don't call it a Fulper unless it IS, we don't beleive in"Fulper attributes" in my mind, my book of rules, and my guarantee to buyer, it is not Fulper, unless it SAYS Fulper, and there is no question here. Positively no chips on this piece with only a very very tight line which comes down the front about 4 1/2" ending just under the l in Williams. Can be seen on the inside down about 1 1/2" Mark that you see on the bottom is a stain or a drop of paint. Again only the small line I mentioned with positively no chips. This crock has 1 very large u shaped crack that goes from the top of 1 side down to just above the base and then up the other side. It has been repaired and we guarantee 100% the crock is structually sound. It rings true. The crock has a chip at the rim where the crack goes through on both sides. An outstanding 3Gal. Crock or Storage Jar from Upstate New York. Ca.1880. Impressed on the shoulder with a cobalt-washed stamp that reads: OTTMAN BRO'S& CO. FORT EDWARD, N.Y. This is the mark of William and Gilbert Ottman; they partnered 1872-1892 and were well known for producing very high-quality wares. This piece is certainly no exception, featuring a fine Floral Bouquet decoration in brilliant Slip-Trailed Cobalt. The exterior Salt Glaze is shiny and consistent; the interior Albany Slip is nearly flawless. Both lug handles are firmly applied, and the finely-tooled rim has an integrated interior ledge to support a lid. Overall, a sturdy, well-made piece with perfect form and proportions. 3 gallon Union Stoneware Co. crock. Red Wing, Minnesota. Early Red Wing, circa 1890. This old crock with the double birch leaf design has good markings and displays extremely well. In the first four photos, I've rotated the crock 90 degrees to give you a full picture of its exterior. In the fifth, a picture of the bottom of the crock as seen from the interior, you'll see a"spider crack" that occurred during baking. It does not extend through to the exterior, and the crock is watertight. In the third and sixth photos, you'll see a very fine hairline crack that extends about 8" along the base. The seventh photo shows an inverted"Y" shaped hairline stress crack in the side of the crock. The crock measures 10 1/2" across the top and stands 10 3/4" tall. Item Description: This is a Red Wing white casserole with lid and advertising from Madelia Minnesota. Advertising reads: Compliments of Hillesheims Grocery. Bake Shop Madelia Minn. The casserole has a line in the bottom that doesn't go all the way through and that is visible in photo#1. I don't know quite what it is as it appears to be in the glaze only. It is in the bottom only and does not travel up either side. I'll call it a hairline even though it doesn't appear to go though. Casserole measures approximately 3 3/4" tall and lid measures approximately 6 1/4" in diameter. Lid is good. Photos show condition. Insurance is included in the shipping price for this item. We have this three gallon RedWing Lid to offer in as found condition. It is a good clean lid but it does have a few cracks as seen in the photo's. Two small shallow chips also. This is a very nice colored red ware pottery crock. It was found in western North Carolina. It stands about 13 inches tall and probably holds about 2 gallons. The opening across the lip is 5 1/4 inches. The condition is good for its age. The lip has a few chips and honest ware. It has not had any repairs. The color is about the shade of a robins breast. Great condition Brown Drip Hall#302 marked Pottery glazed stoneware crock. Can be used for holding utensils in your kitchen or office. It is just over 7" tall and 6" apx wide. It is round. There are a very few small scratches on the piece. But no chips or cracks. Very heavy, almost 5 lbs. One of the photos I have taken at an angle so you can better appreciate the height since the other photos make it look shorter.
